(We had walked by earlier and made a mental note.) If memory serves, they don't have alcohol, so we had some coffee instead. We had plenty of drinks at dinner and another bar afterwards, so caffeine was appreciated. We were here for about an hour. Sat inside at a table by the front. I'm a fan of hanging out with good company, so part of me enjoys doing something chill while conversing. It's kinds like sitting around a campfire and catching up. Except you're smoking cigars. After having dinner next door, we decided some hookah was in order to cap off the night and we enjoyed our time here. The hookahs are $30, and you have your choice of flavor. It was just two of us, and we honestly could've stayed here for almost 2 hours but had some errands to run. They have some spots outside and plenty of seating indoors. Staff was super nice and accommodating, making sure the coals were fresh. We also enjoy the occasional cigar, and if you are looking for a spot with a solid selection, this spot got you covered. Waited for seating at mazras so we decided to go check out this shop and enjoy some hookah and cigars. Worst mistake, the man at the door rudely asked for IDs which we swiftly showed him. I don't know if it's because we had a large group but he had no patience and immediately said that he didn't want to serve us. I ask why and immediately he gets hostile and demands us to get out. I am an Arab man and it's sad to see my own people treating me like this! 10 people imagine the money we would have spent here. The shop was empty and frankly I see why. Stay Away!! This place is an absolute scam and abusive!! We went there for hookah and were disappointed with the service and the hookah and left in less than 10 minutes. When we checked out, they added a default $20 tip on an $40 bill (I explicitly said no tip for the bad service). When I confronted the owner he assaulted me and shoved me outside. I've walked past this spot countless times and never walked in. I stopped by yesterday as I was in the area for a meeting. The meeting went well and I was in the mood for a good cigar. I walked in to a very nice lounge. Plenty of leather couches set up to relax. They were sippin' large glasses of liquor and on this evening, it was quiet. I purchased my cigar and asked the woman if I could sit and smoke my cigar. She told me it was a Member's Only club and I had to leave. I have mixed feelings about that. First of all, the place was nearly empty. I just threw down $12 for a decent cigar and would be in and out in like 45 minutes. Then I was reminded that the world doesn't revolve around me. My ego tells me it does, but the reality of the situation is simple. Rules are rules and I had to bounce. They have a wide variety and solid selection of cigars with prices a bit steep, but not completely outrageous by any stretch. if you are in town and just need to pick up a stogie, drop in. If you are in the mood to sit down, chill, relax and have a stogie with the guys, you need to look elsewhere. read more

My husband and I thought this place looked like a great find according to the Yelp reviews, so we went there to check things out and enjoy a cigar. When we arrived, the sign said, "Open", but the place was dark and looked closed. We tried the door, and surely enough, were able to walk in...walk in to the most unsightly person sitting at the center of the shop, stuffing her face with takeout food spilled all over the table, and her laptop open as if we had walked in and interrupted her online accounting time or something. It was SO AWKWARD. She just stared at us and said, "Can I help you?" I then thought, "Yes, lady - Where can I find fine llama yarn so I can knit my cat a sweater?"...but kept the sarcasm to myself, as she looked at us with the must disdained face I've ever seen. There was no one else in the store. No music, no fire pits, no TV, the cigars looked super dry on their shelves, and the seating area was closed off. I really, really felt like we had walked in on something going down. It was the most sketchy spider sense ever. That one question were the ONLY words that came out of her mouth, and I motioned to my husband to leave. Worst experience ever. Wanted to check out this store and excited to buy some for my humidor, his half door was open and some of his neon lights were on, but then the owner (I assume?) see's me by the door and signaling me "I'm closed".... It was kinda rude, you had half a door open and lights on? Next time just put a big sign by the door and don't leave it open! We will NEVER shop here again. Ever. An avid cigar smoker, my husband bought a lighter as a present for a friend. It didn't work in the store, but one of the owners took it in the back to "fix it." She brought it back out, and since he was in a hurry he trusted her word that it worked and paid $125. When he got home he tried it out, just to make sure before giving the gift. It didn't work. He took it back tot he store and it didn't work there either. He asked for his money back. They refused. He asked for an exchange or store credit. They wouldn't even do that. Am not a member since I only show up once or twice per year, but my first visit they allowed me to smoke on premises without a membership. Slow day so YMMV as far as favors go - and I definitely appreciated the favor. Stepping into this place in my pink knitted cardigan and clutching an ice cream cup in my hand, I'm sure the lone big-haired lady in charge for the evening took one look at me and wondered if I stepped into the wrong store. This is the first time for me to go into a tobacco shop so my hesitation and uncertainty was definitely evident. I was looking at cigarillos which my friends have been indulging in lately. This place carries flavored cigarillos (honey, chocolate, mint, etc) as well as unflavored ones (strong vs light.) The country bumpkin in me never knew about the flavored cigarillos. Funny thing is that this was the first thing the lady talked about to me -- I guess since I'm a girl, I must love flavored anything! I gathered during this expedition that what stands between you and a tin box of 10 Dominican Republic cigarillos (flavored or not) is a $20 bill. I have to go back and ask her more baffling questions and hope I don't shock the cigar clamping patrons if I decide to join them on their leather couch. read more

I absolutely had no idea such a quality establishment existed in Redwood City. I really only smoke cigars every now and then for special occasions but after visiting this place, I'm highly considering renting out my own locker and purchasing a few cigars with for friends. Great selection of cigars, if not a little pricey. This is offset by the friendly staff and the ability to smoke inside. When you walk in, you immediately sense that you are going to have a good smoke. The staff was quick to let us know they were available if we had any questions. After choosing a couple of cigars (of which they have a pretty wide selection) we bought them and sat down for a smoke. The furniture was comfortable and the place is pretty well ventilated. If you are looking for a place with a nice atmosphere and allows you to smoke inside, this is the place for you. As I stated earlier, if you are used to getting your cigars online, the pricing is a little steep. However, that is the cost of smoking in a social setting. It was about a year ago that I first stopped by Broadway Tobacconists. My friends and I had been getting into cigar for the last couple years, so I of course wanted to check this place out. The one thing that I remember clearly was that the guy who helped me out, Alex, was very knowledgeable and friendly. I ended up buying a couple sticks for a get together that night. It was about a month before I went back. As soon as I got there, I was again greeted by the same guy who seemed to remember me...saying "its good to see you again." There is something that can said about an establishment that offers a welcoming feeling to its customers. I noticed that this place has a great ambiance for a cigar smoker...dark rich colors, sofas and chairs, TV, and of course and great selection of cigars. I knew that I had to bring my buddies down here. I ended up becoming a member this last February and it has been a great. Not only is it a great place to relax and have a smoke, but there are a lot of great people who stop in for a post-work smoke on a Tuesday evening. Gretta and Alex, the owners, are great. They are so friendly and do everything they can do to make you feel at home. They have become close comrades to my friends and I in the world of cigars. What a great place! Stop on by and get educated by a woman! That's right, a woman owns this place. If you have any questions Gretta is very informative! Who knew that the size of a cigar depends on how long you have to smoke and enjoy it? Well I didn't! As a woman, it can be a little intimidating stepping into a "man's world" to purchase cigars. However, well worth the drive for some great information and friendly advise. I usually stick to the cigarillos (CAO Exotic Fruit and Bourbon Vanilla) unless I'm out on the golf course of course. The lounge is for members only. You can sit and relax on one of the couches, and watch the flat screen. If I lived closer, I'd become a member, light one up and sit on the couch next to you boys!
