My favorite place to pick up cigars as well as hang out and smoke one. Ed is very insightful and has never led me astray when recommending a cigar.

This shop is more than a destination to purchase fine luscious cigars; it is a heavenly oasis to which one can puff away the stresses of living life. Alex & Gretta are the lovely gatekeepers of this treasure. They eagerly await you with open arms and are a delight to be around. Whether you visit the shop by yourself to getaway or with a group of friends, do yourself a favor and VISIT this amazing sanctuary! You won't regret it - simply AWESOME!!

Next choice was Pasha, with a covered patio & hookah lounge, as well as a large open space inside. The lemonade cost $7, which I wasn't willing to pay unless it was at least 20 oz. Iced tea isn't listed on the menu, so I asked. Made of freshly brewed real tea the day, it was quite welcome. The tea was served in a cut/molded glass pineapple shaped glass. Truly practical: good grip, less likely to slip. Uncommon, but attractive. I ordered the salmon wrapped in lavash bread, minus onions & mayo. I asked for hummus bi tahini instead. There was lettuce, cucumber, & unripe tomatoes (It's tomato season, folks, but most restaurant produce suppliers just sell for bulk, not necessarily peak/in season. That's a different, more costly supplier) inside the wrap, the char-grilled salmon just right. I'd say that even if I had eaten earlier. The salad was marinated (I think) red cabbage over lettuce, cukes, & pale tomato. The whole meal--no dessert--was really tasty and welcome. The staff was pleasant, the food was true to its eastern Mediterranean roots. While ostensibly Turkish, there were Armenian and Greek elements (erm, both done wrong by the Turks). I did get a top-off offer for my iced tea, which I happily accepted. My meal was just over $20, including tax. I'm going back next time I have a medical appointment at the Redwood City Stanford Clinics--or a special trip to Sigona's (after I e. As Kaiser offices & hospital are nearby, KP members can enjoy a pleasant meal at Pasha as well. Here, I hope, are photos of the iced tea glass, and the ceiling of the ladies' room. 5/22/26 Meal photo taken after I started to eat, in order to enjoy the fish while hot. Grilled salmon had a sauce to add to the lovely flavor, but was slightly overdone for my taste/ uniform pink, as opposed to darker pink center, which if reheated, will not be too dry. In spite of using red onion instead of the whites of green onions, the tabbouleh was just right. The red onion dice didn't bite, as un- or slightly cooked onions do to me. The tomatoes were ripe, too. I have to take most of the tabbouleh and pita, and half the salmon home: portions bigger than stomach. Happy tum!

There was a lot of miscommunication between employees, one staff member told us one thing, then another employee came over and told us the opposite. It honestly felt unorganized and confusing, and when we tried to clarify, the interactions came across as rude rather than helpful. Before coming, we had already noticed the reviews were pretty mixed, with a lot of people praising the food but also many mentioning issues with the service. Sadly, after our experience, we can understand why. Customer service really sets the tone for the whole experience, and unfortunately the staff interaction alone was enough for us to decide to leave instead of staying to dine in. We genuinely wanted to give this place a fair chance since we drove so far for it, but the overall experience just didn't make us feel welcomed.

Every bite was juicy and well-seasoned, and the sides complemented the meal nicely. What really made the experience special was the seating right next to the water. Had lunch today at Waterfront Pizza located at an open air strip shopping center in Foster City. A…read morefriend and I had seen its favorable review on Check Please. We submitted our order to the owner/cashier around 2 o'clock. The restaurant has a pleasant outside area next to a calming Bay tributary so we chose to sit under one of the umbrella tables next to the water. As we placed our order upon arrival (2 o'clock) with the cashier/owner, we were told that the dessert, Kunafa, would take some time to prepare. Since this was a favorably reviewed dessert shown on Check Please, we were excited to try it. Once we sat down, the dolma appetizers and shawarmas arrived but our lemonade and ice tea were missing. We had nothing to drink with our appetizer and main course after waiting for twenty minutes so we asked the cashier to send out our beverages. They finally arrivred although we had finished our lunch except for the dessert. Although the restaurant was not busy since it was around 2:45, we noticed that the all male wait staff were sitting outside next to us. None of them seemed motivated to clear out plates or to bring the dessert. Finally, after waiting another ten minutes (3 o'clock), we went to the cashier and asked him to prepare our dessert for takeout. He did so and we took the dessert upon leaving. Observation: the all male wait staff had no one, including the restaurant's owner, coordinating their work as they sat at a nearby table shooting the breeze. This was an epic fail of the restaurant. I only thought that the wait staff were his relatives so he was afraid to motivate them to work Didn't know this for sure but also didn't understand why the owner allowed such lack of service. I would emphasize that a lunch in Foster City costing $82, without alcohol, seems a bit over-rated given the uncoordinated service. We should have not had to resort for our dessert to turn into a takeout order. We will not return to this restaurant but hope the owner changes the restaurant's mediocre service to allow it to survive. I would like to think that it was just a bad day for restaurant but really feel like this was a standard one. If the owner continues to let the patients run the asylum, mediocrity will continue to flourish... no matter how good the food seems. Good luck and goodbye...

For starters we tried the manti and kopoglu. The yogurt that the manti came in was incredible -- the garlic flavor was so tasty! Luckily they gave us bread so we could finish off every last bit of it. I wish they gave more than 5 pieces in the order though.. next time we'll just order two. The kopoglu was pretty good too and paired very nicely with their house made bread, which btw is perfectly fluffy and amazing for dipping. For the main I had the Adana kebap which was amazing and the highlight of the meal for me! Everything from the meat to the veggies down to the rice was incredibly well seasoned. The lamb was tender and very juicy. BF ordered Çemenli tavuk which was also super tasty. It had this great smoky flavor and very tender too. We were excited to take the leftovers home. Overall, highly recommend for date night or a girl's night. The service was also great and food came out pretty quick. Thanks, Meyhouse!
