    Tater Tots Garlic Style
    Nihar P.

The Patio is one of my favorite places to stop by after work for a drink with coworkers and to watch whatever game is on. I've been multiple times and have rarely had a bad experience. I enjoy sitting in the back outdoor area and ordering beers with a few apps. For being in Palo Alto, the prices are reasonable, with some dishes truly worth their cost. My favorite thing to order here is the Tater Tots Garlic Style (10/10). They're the crispiest tater tots I've ever had and pack a strong garlic punch. For $6, it's an app you can easily share with three people and still be extremely satisfied. I also tried the chicken wings for the first time, and they had the best buffalo sauce I've ever had (9/10). The only thing that could have made them better was if the skin were a bit crispier, but the spice and tang from the sauce made up for it. I also had the Hot Honey Wings (7/10), which were good but not on the level of the buffalo. They had a mild sweetness and nice savory flavor, but I wouldn't say there was much heat, and the honey was minimal. A solid wing overall, but it could have used a bit more flavor. I'll definitely be back to try the other wing flavors. Depending on the day and what game is playing, service can take a little while, but I highly recommend The Patio to anyone in the area looking for a great sports bar atmosphere.

I was in the area and decided to stop by for a late lunch/ early dinner. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outdoors in the back. It was pretty early, so there weren't too many people there. The service was good, and our food was ready quickly. We tried their sliders and Caesar. Everything was good. There is a parking lot across the restaurant which was perfect. There is plenty of seating.

I got my private plane. My friend got mango margaritas, and cucumber gimlet.

We ordered bean nachos as well. It tasted delicious and there was plenty of space to get seated. I highly recommended.

Phenomenal spot for a lively Saturday night. Loud TVs and cheap beer. It really js a great spot to hang with friends casually, drink and hangout.

I stopped in here for a solo dinner without first consulting Yelp - oops! So I was concerned after I ordered, then checked their rating. Well, I needn't have been worried, this was perfectly fine. I asked for an El Almendro cocktail, letting the harried waitress know I was in no hurry at all. Football was on, so... The drink was pretty good. I've never had a bad drink with orgeat. I ordered cappelini with shrimp, and hoped for an Italian red. Alas, they only had none. I ordered a Merlot to go with dinner. They arrived together, perfect. Except, the wine was dreadful, like it had been opened for a few days. I told the waitress, and she graciously replaced it with a Daou Cabernet Sauvignon, which was fine. The food was decent enough, although I prefer pasta more al dente. Nothing special. For the price, this was all perfectly fine. Nice clean restaurant, bright and well lit, and did I mention football?

My husband took me here for Mother's Day. The menu is quite overwhelming so we decided to stick with the Creole dishes. We got the etouffee, crawfish and shrimp gumbo, bbq pulled pork po boy and beignets. My son got the sliders. The food came out super quick after we'd ordered, so that was good. I'm also glad that we can order via the QR code so we don't have to flag the server down. We ate at the covered portion outside so the sun wouldn't be beaming on us. I enjoyed the decor and the NOLA feel to the place with the beads everywhere. Back to the food: Etouffee: 4/5 pretty good but not the best I've had. The flavors were there. Gumbo 4/5: I couldn't tell the difference between the gumbo and étouffée, but this was also good. Pulled pork po boy 3/5: Just OK. Maybe the shrimp would've been better. Beignets: 4/5 I loved that they came with the different sauces and tasted great after the meal, but we were too stuffed to finish them. Overall, great experience and good eats. It is unique to the area to have this kind of restaurant, so that gives this place a little extra appeal.

For appetizers, we ordered the Ceviche Molina and Dungeness Crab Garlic Bread. The ceviche was okay and lacked juice, but the garlic bread stole the show. Every bite was delicious, I would've ordered another round! For entrees, we all just shared the Firecracker Cajun Pasta because we weren't as hungry. The pasta was alright as well, wasn't too impressed and it lacked more flavor than it looks. For dessert, we ordered the beignets, but sadly I have had better. It was too dry and more dough-y compared to other ones I have tried. For drinks, I tried the Milk Money and Nola Hurricane. The Milk Money was a bit spirit-forward and Nola Hurricane was a bit sour, but I preferred the Hurricane more between the two. The atmosphere was great though, I really felt immersed as if I was visiting New Orleans.

I would say it feels like a tavern for wealthy noblemen in 1800s England. Allow me to say where it fell short for me, and then I'll sing my praises. The wine... tasted like wine. I don't have a particularly refined palate when it comes to that. The charcuterie board was a collection of expensive items that I am personally not into: miniature pickles (too sour), meat pâté (bland), and what I think were pickled red peppers. There was no cheese, which was highly disappointing; however, if that style of charcuterie suits you, go for it. The music did not match the ambiance at all. They really should play piano or smooth jazz, because the 2010s pop was honestly annoying. DESPITE ALL OF THIS, the crowd was the real pull. Everyone was either on a first date or was an interesting adult. This makes for fun people-watching and stimulating conversations. People were very willing to walk up and talk to strangers. I saw many people doing so, I felt welcome to do so, and people approached me to converse. So even though the food wasn't great, and the music was horrible, I will return funnily enough because the decor and the people were worth it.
