It wasn't cheap by any stretch but Mike was always honest on the phone and we talked through different options. His estimate seemed reasonable, and he was actually able to save some parts which reduced the cost. Who likes a large car repair bill? Not me. But, if I had to describe this place in one word it would be "honest". I never got the impression that they were upselling me anything, and they were always available to talk on the phone. In addition to some of the specifics mentioned in my previous review (see below), there have been several instances where Ankers could have just recommended the more expensive route to fix something, but chose to allow us to make an informed decision by trying alternatives or doing things incrementally so that it could be determined if a smaller fix would suffice. All this without sacrificing the integrity of the car, though. It is such a relief to know you are going to receive competent and honest work on one of the major financial investments you make: your vehicle. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Recently I needed a fuel pump replaced that required lowering the fuel tank, an expensive and messy job with a rusted skid plate that needed replacement. The owner, John Belai, was very understanding, professional and helpful; he even followed up to make sure the job was to my satisfaction. I love my car so much, and if I can get a few more years our of it, I'd be happy. She said they're great, reasonably priced, and do not try to swindle their customers with unnecessary repairs. So I decided to check them out. Upon entering, I was greeted by the nicest receptionist I may have ever met. She had a great smile, was friendly, and was professional but still laid back. I explained what I needed, which included looking at why my engine light was on, check my shocks (because my car made very loud noises with every little bump in the road), and anything else they could find. Then I wanted an estimate and we'd discuss next steps. Made an appointment for the upcoming Thursday, left my car overnight, keys in the Dropbox, and they'd look at it in the morning. Got the estimate a few days later than anticipated, because the mechanic is always SUPER busy, then scheduled a pickup. Turned out that I needed new tires (which was not a surprise), my shocks were dead (hence the loud banging whenever I drove over a little bump), and my heater was on the fritz (the engine light). Spoke to the mechanic, and he said he could have my car ready by the following evening. So I said let's do all work as a holiday treat to myself. Picked up my car after work the following day, met up with the mechanic, and he went over everything with me. To my surprise, and due to an error, they even did a little extra work and didn't charge me for it! When I drove my car home, it felt like it was brand new, and if it wasn't for my "dog blankets" protecting my car seats, I would think that I just drove it off the sales lot. Overall, Auto Solutions is a place I will continue to go back to. The professionalism mixed with a laid-back personal approach, really made me feel at ease. Not charging me for some extra work that was done was a very nice holiday gift from them, and I am very grateful. Be fair warned, if you are a type A personality, and need everything quickly laid out in front of you, in a very specific time frame, they may not be your first choice. But if you have a little time on your hands, I will always highly recommend them.

No one called ahead to give me a heads-up or reschedule -- I just arrived to locked doors. I called from the parking lot and left a message letting them know I was there for my appointment. That was over three weeks ago now, and I still haven't gotten a callback -- no apology, no explanation, nothing. I get that shops sometimes have to close unexpectedly, but a simple phone call would have saved me a wasted trip, and a follow-up afterward would have gone a long way. Instead, total silence. Can't recommend based on this experience -- communication was nonexistent.
