I came here today with my friend Patty and had high hopes that it would be great. We have planned this lunch for 2 months when our schedules worked out. She made reservations for noon and was so excited to take me here. The Prix fix lunch menu is $13.95 includes appetizer/starter, entrée and dessert. I started with a glass of Prosecco as my friend did the driving. It came in a nice individual portion bottle. I ordered the salad to start, the veal parmigiana, and cannoli for dessert. My friend had the ricotta and meatball starter, lasagna and limoncello cake for dessert. When the salad came it was unexciting and the tomato didn't taste very fresh. When the entrée arrived I could tell it wasn't great from the first bite. Unfortunately as I was eating I found a thin sliver of metal in my food. I put it on my bread plate and gave it to the waitress. Now since I am x amount of years old and have eaten many meals I can say with certainty I have never had a piece of metal thankfully in my food. How they handled the situation is another story. It was more like it didn't happen. God forbid I swallowed it and ended up in the hospital, So as we finish the meal the waitress let's me know the Prosecco was a gift. Whatever I don't need gifts just meals without foreign objects in them that could land me in the hospital. To say I won't be returning is an understatement. What a gem! I absolutely love broccoli. It is the perfect date night escape with all the Italian/Tuscan feels! You definitely feel like you've left Cooper City/Pembroke Pines and are sitting in a quaint gables Italian eatery. Let me begin with potions -- yes, portions! They serve a lot of food! You definitely get your money's worth! But what's better than a big serving? A delicious quality meal. Everything at brocollini is excellent. Some of my favorite include the chicken francese, salmon marachiarra, and chicken parmigiana. The salmon marachiarra is always cooked to perfection and complimented with additional seafood varieties. My husband will only eat the chicken francese and I agree it's absolutely delicious. The best part is the wait staff. Maria is the sweetest and most attentive waitress. Ordered 4 entrees, apps, and dessert for take out. The food was very hearty - it's Italian. Portion sizes for the "smaller" combo plates that come with soup or salad ARE HUGE. The eggplant rolatini was stuffed with ricotta and spinach but a bit bland. The wee one really enjoyed her pasta w marinara. After seeing such raving reviews about this restaurant, I decided I had to try it.  It's a small restaurant.  Service was friendly, although our glasses of water were not refilled until we requested it.  My friend's chicken parm was good and a huge portion, with 2 chicken breasts and pasta.  The house wines were good as were the huge meatballs.  The warm bread pudding with whipped cream was also good.  Unfortunately, my branzino fillets were dry and tough.  Very disappointing.  I hope they change the way they cook it.  I wouldn't go out of my way to return. read more

Our after-golf dinner group ventured out to new places again this wee as we are recommended café broccolini for our Wednesday night dinner. We called ahead to insure that a party of 7 could be accommodated during these social distance size tables limitations and were told no problem Arrive to another strip mall non-descript type location that very much reminded me of a NJ BYOB type place. Very clean, spaced out place with wooden tables and floors, wine bottles adorn the walls and a good feel as we arrive. Seated immediately and aside from 2 other people in the place we were the only ones here at 545PM until we departed around 7:30PM though a lot of take out seemed to go out the door. Place apparently started in NJ though being from there I didn't know it and according to the waitress the owner was from Italy so not quite sure with the NJ article on the wall has to do with this place but I digress. Menu is ENORMOUS with so many different options and specials it is really TO BIG. There are combination price Fixe options, upcharge to small appetizer orders, wine specials, with certain meals, you needed a degree from MIT to understand it. We did not go any of those routes simply ordered what we wanted to take it from there. Wine list was diverse if not the most unknown group of selections of wines I have ever seen at a place this size. We selected two bottles and off we went. Having no idea of the size of the portions we completely OVER ORDERED, as everything is HUGE. Do yourself a favor share a few things. All dinners include side salad, or Caesar or two types of soup selections. Onward to appetizers: Fresh Hot Bread with wonderful dipping sauce was provided along with pad butter. Bread was replenished multiple times. MUSSELS AL SALTO $9.00 LARGE MUSSELS ON THE HALF SHELL WITH GARLIC, OREGANO, OLIVE OIL AND CHOICE OF RED OR WHITE SAUCE We had one order of each white & Red. While the white sauce was absolutely outstanding, the red sauce was good but a bit oily. Of the Soups ordered with the entrees: PASTA FAGIOLI SOUP TRADITIONAL WHITE & RED BEAN SOUP WITH PASTA ITALIAN WEDDING SOUP CHICKEN AND BEEF BROTH WITH SPINACH VEGETABLES, PASTINA AND MINI MEATBALLS Both were of good quality and substance but needed some cheese and pepper and a bit of salt to kick them up a notch. Not bad just needed a bit more flavor. Salads included with meal were decent while the Caesar was the least favorite of the two. Entrees: Special Grilled Center cut (2) Pork chops over linguini with a "ZINGARA SAUCE" Sauce was s "HOT SPECIALTY of cherry peppers olives in tomato base. If they had sautéed the pork chops in the sauce it would have been better than simply putting the sauce on top, but quality of the meal was excellent sauce very tangy and good. Two special pan seared veal chops $36.00 over angel hair in a marsala wine sauce. Chops were huge, fresh, and delicious while the sauce was good was a bit watery and I personally would not choose angel hair as a pasta to put this over, but I am not the chef. Veal Ossobuco $35.00 again no risotto here but pasta kind of changes the dynamic of this traditional dish. Veal itself was again plentiful and very tender and tasty. Linguine with White clam sauce was massive amounts of clams over pasta. Sauce was delicious enough for two people or more massive plate. Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp had nice jumbo shrimp over massive amounts of pasta. Everything fresh and tasty. Zuppa De pesce was a massive platter of fish over pasta that could have served half the homeless in south Florida. A lot going on here, so I will just say everything was fresh as way too many fish mixes to garner my interest. Service was a bit slow as Maritza tried to keep up with our demands but everything was made fresh to order to have some time if your coming for dinner it is not typical precooked stuffed everything was fresh so prepare to wait. They did not have enough of wine we started with, so we had to switch mid-stream. No coffee or desert was tried yet tons of food went home as well. All and all a very good experience that now we have a feel for the place can slim down some orders as entirely to much food was ordered. For everyone that orders through DoorDash, if your order comes in an hour late, don't bother to argue with the lady that packs your order . The restaurant prioritizes dine in order . My order was scheduled to be picked up at 6:50 . The order was ready at 7:50 . DoorDash would be more than happy to give you back credit because it was late . I have to say we have wanted to try this place for a very long time and I just haven't had the opportunity to. Tonight my family and I ordered from their family meal pack which included lasagna meatballs ravioli a baguette and a Caesar salad. I could not be more happy with the quality of this food. Probably one of the top three Italian places I have ever enjoyed in my life. I will definitely be back and cannot wait! This is a small authentic Italian gem! The food is amazing and so delicious! The staff is welcoming and very attentive. I highly recommend this place. I would like to thank you and your staff for the most memorable time we had at the Baby Shower of our daughter Elaine, in your restaurant, on Sunday February 5th, 12 Noon to 3PM Your Wait Staff were excellent, Jelly, Beatrice and Ben were most gracious, they made everyone feel that they were the only ones in the room, and the service was always with a smile. Your "Back of the House" staff made everything perfect. The food, as always, was delicious, we had 44 people in attendance, and the Food was served On time, Correct and Hot. I checked reviews before going and have to admit, was a bit concerned. We found it to be a great restaurant. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess and seated immediately. Our drink order was taken promptly and bread/dipping sauce brought to our table. The extensive menu, as well as daily specials, made it hard to choose. All four of us got something different and each entree was excellent. It did take a while to get our dinner, but the small restaurant was packed and like they say, everything is made to order. This place is a solid restaurant. I ordered pickup on a Friday night. I was estimated 45-60 min and told they would call if it was ready sooner. I ordered a pasta e fagioli soup, chicken Alfredo, linguini &meatballs. Soup is always welcome with my kids. They thoroughly enjoyed this one. I sampled and found it a little too tomatoey. I would order it again though. I found it strange that they do not serve spaghetti. So my hubby requested linguini; he said the meatballs (pork &beef blend) were good and large. I didn't taste it because I don't eat pork. The chicken Alfredo was better than I expected. The chicken didn't have much color but it did have wonderful grilled flavor and it we juicy. The sauce was well flavored. Not bland at all and not overly reinvented. I did feel like there was an odd flour flavor so my guess is they start this with a roux; not my favorite but definitely acceptable. I would order it again. The portions were so large that I had lunch for the next day. Both meals come with bread that was crusty and soft and perfect for the soup. For dessert we ordered the limoncello and this is where I was thoroughly disappointed. The portion was really tiny, cake was dense, not much lemon/limoncello flavor, and the syrup was placed in a container on the side but was too viscous to enjoy. Overall the service on the phone, and when picking up the order was very good. Polite friendly staff. Can't wait to try something else! read more

My family had been raving about this place for a while now, stating how wonderful the food was and how this would definitely be the place to go to when I came in town so... I came here tonight with family and friends, having high expectations and the desire for some good food, but I was truly let down. Granted this place is extremely small and they are definitely understaffed, but it seems that their kitchen is also understaffed or just "slow" in general. Mind you, reservations were made 2 days prior for our party of 8 and it took us close to 2 hours to eat while other parties that arrived 20-30 minutes after us were already on desert by the time we received our food. I'm giving this restaurant a whopping 2 stars because the food was decent and the ambiance was welcoming. This is a great authentic Italian dive restaurant. The trick here for getting your great grandmothers Italian cooking is going between 4:00 and 5:00 pm. They have an early bird menu (in addition to the full menu) with greatly reduced menu and special appetizers and entrees. It's a great value for great food!!! I'll give it 3 stars because the atmosphere isn't amazing, and I wasn't in love with the dish I ordered because the sauce tasted too floury to me but my mom ordered the piccata and I ended up eating half of hers because it was so delish and she ate half of mine! So I think it boiled down to me kicking myself for trying to be too adventurous. read more

I started with two different appetizers, the muscles which had little to no flavor and the fried calamari which had no crunch to it and was bland to me. I had the veal chop cooked medium as my entree. The chop was large in size, cooked perfectly but didn't have all that much flavor. I'm not sure if the lack of flavor was a result of them just recently opening up and not being fully staffed but I don't know if I will return. So this review is WAY OVERDUE & to be honest, I am quite embarrassed I never did this sooner. Maybe because I want to keep this hidden gem to myself, but then again they deserve the praise so here goes nothing: I came across Broccolini Cafe 3 years ago when I first moved to Cooper City. Well, fast forward to today there is NO other Italian restaurant, (and believe me, I've been to quite a few) that compares to this place. Heck, I even went to Rome this spring and every dish I had there had to be compared to the food at broccolinis, I mean, that good. So, what do I love about the place? Ok I'll narrow it down to 5 simple reasons because I don't want you to get bored. And lists make everything easier. 1. THE FOOD! Duh! Taste is incredibly fresh. No frozen sauces here, everything is incredibly flavorful My all time favorites (chicken parm, spaghetti and meats, mushroom risotto, penne ala vodka with shrimp, Caesar salad and bruschetta. Oh and the bread pudding. Yum) 2. The portions - holy mother of Jesus the portions here are large! I ALWAYS take something home. Always 3. The ambiance- tucked away in a little corner in the Embassy Lakes Shopping Center, the vibe is cozy and quaint 4. The service- the hostess always recognizes me and is happy to see that I've joined them on my date night. The waitresses are always sweet and accommodating 5. They serve some nice dishes with a prix fixe menu that really makes perfect sense. A 3.5 to 3.75 star in my book without hesitation. Service was friendly and food portions are large. My friend and I went for dinner and each of us ordered a cup of soup and the seafood salad. Having had it in the past, I was certain it was a nice size salad but not enough for more than 1 person. When the waitress asked if we were going to share it we were taken aback and said that we were ordering one for each of us. At that point the waitress made no mention of the size and that we might want to reconsider since it was a platter of salad enough for at least four people. When she brought one salad because she couldn't carry both, we should have not accepted the second one but we did. I can only attribute this to an inexperienced waitress who knew no better.
