Too die for flavors! The cookie part perfectly baked, the creme filling inside is out of this world flavored! I also order their special box. It is a heart filled chocolate box filled with chocolate and or candy. Hot cocoa bombs (choices of dark, milk or white chocolate) and chocolate dipped strawberries! Which are huge by the way and just as delicious! The best part about this entire thing is I am Gluten free, they double checked the chocolate to verify it was GF! The latte and croissant were great, but even better was the back room with extra seating, giving me and my companion plenty of privacy for our conversation. I have tried many things over the years, but there is one item in particular that I come back for time and again. The coconut filled cupcake!! It's just perfection - a very forward coconut flavor with a very generous amount of frosting topped with shredded coconut. I make a trek here every year around my birthday because this is the cake that I want to celebrate with! I always find the service kind, welcoming and helpful. At times it can be very busy here (holidays are nuts) - but they do a good job managing the lines and order.

They actually sourced the lavender from a fellow local business Botanically Curious. Great to see local supporting local. The Messy Cookie is a great spot to grab some delicious cookies. Like mentioned the owner is so friendly and almost always has some samples for you to try. They host events including cookie decoration. Also while we did not have any since we had coffee before they had coffee by design coffee available to pair with your cookies. If you are looking for delicious and unique bakery cookies from a local business this is the place to check out. We loved the lavender cookie and enjoyed getting a lemon crinkle again too!

Oddly didn't get much of a buttery flavor from this croissant, I also feel like a very small amount of spices could have gone a long way to help pull in some warm undertones for the flavor. If I get back here on another trip, I'll be sure to arrive earlier to get some different options.

She was absolutely lovely to work with! Very responsive to emails and phone calls, and super flexible and helpful with pairing flavors for us. She made a variety of mini-cupcakes and frostings for our tasting and each were delicious--even the margarita cake! As someone who does not like chocolate, I would have eaten the chocolate ganache frosting with gusto. We ended up choosing traditional flavors: red velvet with cream cheese frosting for the bottom (12") and top (6") tiers as well as vanilla with chocolate ganache for the middle (8"). We had just shy of 60 guests at our wedding and were able to take the entire top tier home. She understood the type of design we wanted for our cake (very simple and clean, which required the use of fondant). Our guests enjoyed the taste, though they thought it was "a bit sweet" (probably due to the fondant). The style was what was in my head but not executed as cleanly as I would have liked--in the days before Pinterest, brides didn't have 1,000 images to show their baker, after all--but I was still happy with the price, taste, and service and would recommend her to friends. I'm pleased to see that she now has her own storefront. I have yet to visit, but plan to rectify that soon.

The manager I spoke with was so rude, I downloaded yelp to warn others. It's a real shame. Hopefully the owner sees this and makes some changes to the team before they loose more customers.
