Great service at the bar! The flight was on point with the BIG Axe Burger. Nice atmosphere on a Tuesday night!!

I have never been to this restaurant before, in fact I never even knew it existed. But I'm really glad that my parents brought me here because this place has the best fries that I think I've ever eaten in my life! I also really enjoyed the burger, it had really good char grilled flavor. Also their draft beer selection is amazing for this small town! I would highly recommend this place to anybody!

What a wonderful place! My friend and I had the Broken Axe Cheesesteak, fish tacos, chili soup, and their homemade caramel toffee bread pudding. Please save room for dessert! It's so worth it! The cheesesteak was pretty good. The steak was chipped with no gristle like you may find in other cheesesteaks. Fish tacos looked simple and I was told it was pretty good. The chili was decent. The dessert was the STAR of the show. We were so full but managed to finish the entire thing. Amazing doesn't even begin to describe this sinful creation! The beer selection is superb! They bring in local area brews and I love the presentation of the beer flights! The atmosphere was wonderful as people rolled in throughout the evening. Saturday nights include a band with no cover but the snow storm caused them to cancel the event this night. Service was great but was slightly slower as more patrons rolled in as expected. I only wish this restaurant was closer to me as I would definitely be a regular!

So great to see a place like this open up in town! Large selection of local in-state beers on tap and customized flights are a draw for any beer lover. We only stopped in for drinks and snacks but I've been told by multiple people that their burgers are also a must try. As for the snacks, they're displayed in jars along the wall and are offered at a very reasonable price. We snacked on peanuts and cashews and spent $6 between four people and there was plenty leftover. They also have a mug club which involves a yearly membership fee that entitles you to your own ceramic beer mug, and invitations to various members only events. Have to admit that if I lived nearby, I'd probably be a regular.

Really good beer selection of beers from Pennsylvania. Tried the French Dip special of the night and was not disappointed.

Despite being one of the few patrons in the restaurant, my order took quite some time to come out. Drinks were made instantly, but I finished two before my entree arrived. The bathroom was strangely the only sticky element of the establishment. *Ribeye: huge 18 ounce ribeye served with sweet potato fries and creamed corn. Although I asked for medium rare, the edges leaned closer to medium well. That said, the steak was thoroughly seasoned and tender throughout. The sweet potato fries were heavily seasoned with sea salt, though the potatoes themselves were sweet enough to balance it out. The creamed corn was the most pungent and watery component. I wished the sauce had been thickened more, as it pooled underneath the steak and softened the bottom crust. Overall, this dish was hefty and a steal for the price. *Frost Bite: one of the seasonal mixed drinks. The Malibu and pineapple juice gave this a pina colada style profile. The blue curacao added a striking snowy appearance, though the drink itself leaned quite sweet. *Jingle Juice: another seasonal option, though this one packed a stronger alcohol punch. The tequila was more prominent, while the peach schnapps helped soften the edge. However, the cranberry and orange juices were barely noticeable, so it did not quite deliver the spiked fruit punch profile I was expecting. I loved the generous portions and strong flavors. While the execution was not perfect, the large sizes and heavy pours still made this a jolly experience.

We just moved to State College for work and so far it's been great. We went to Otto's for dinner…read morelast night and it was underwhelming. The waitress was very nice, Tayler or Tyler I think, the atmosphere was a bit fancy for a brewery but fine. The problem we had was the food. My wife ordered fish and chips and I had the Ruban, mine was fine except it was like the vanilla of Ruban's. My wife, however, asked for tartar sauce and got cocktail sauce. The waitress had no idea what tartar sauce was, no problem, but we expected the cook staff would but nope, tartar sauce was up there with unoptainium, didn't exist. The other issues are small, the waitress was thrown off by the tartar sauce issue I think and we rarely saw her. She forgot my beer order twice, never tried to do anything to keep us there, upselling like more drinks or desert. Granted, she was very young so it's understandable. Lastly, the beer was fine but the options were kind of weak. I had a pilsner that was very average, it's not a complaint so much as I kind of expect more from an onsite brewery. It's all personal taste so I get it. We will probably try it again but it will be a little while.
