    Pimento biscuit. It was HUGE.

This is a great little bakery that packs a punch! We stopped here for a quick bite between visiting Ernest Hemingway birthplace and starting our Frank Lloyd Wright heritage tour. It was perfect for a quick bite. There were amazing baked goods on display and we chose the kale salad scone, rosemary apricot scone, and pimento biscuit sandwich. All baked goods are beautiful and generously sized. All were delicious and unique. The cafe also has a full compliment of coffee drinks, but as it was a hot day we chose iced tea. I had an Arnold Palmer. There is self serve water as well. The selection is limited to baked goods only. We didn't try the cookies or cakes, but they looked amazing. The cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating in a small area surrounding potted plants making for an inviting setting with limited space. The staff are efficient and calm. If there is a line, as we were told there usually is, it moves quickly. I recommend this spot for a sweet or savory bite.

We were in the area and wanted a coffee. Instead of going to our usual Starbucks we decided to support a local shop. We looked on Yelp and saw how well loved Broken Tart was and it was a no brainer to visit. They have street parking right outside and it was not hard to find parking at all. Once I entered I was overwhelmed with all of the delicious pastries. Not knowing what to order I asked for their favorite and best selling items because I wanted to try them all. We ended up with the ricotta chocolate chip bread, both their rosemary scone and their kale and tomato scone, along with their almond pastry. None of these disappointed at all. In fact it was so good we ate all of it before we even left our parking spot. Haha, and we had no shame about it. The same went with drinks. She made incredible recommendations for both a caffeinated and a lightly caffeinated beverage. They recommended their most popular Broken Tart latte and my husband was obsessed. He loved all of their spices and said it was actually one of the best lattes he's had in such a long time. For me, since I am limited on my caffeine intake, had their plum iced tea. It was delicious, I have never had anything like it and I couldn't stop drinking it. It went great with the pastries as well. Needless to say, if you're in the area, be sure to stop by and enjoy some of their delectable treats. You won't be disappointed!

The cutest little bakery shop in Oak Park! Was able to find parking right on Chicago Ave. It's very small inside with limited seating and it was busy when I came in around 8am. Once you walk in, you are greeted with their mouthwatering display of pastries, and of course the kind staff. I got one of every cookie and tried both the savory and sweet cornbread biscuits. The cookies were buttery and the size of your head! My fav was the cookies n cream cookie! My thoughts on the biscuits: Sweet biscuit: comes with butter and jam on the inside. The sweetness is subtle. The jam and butter combo was delish. Savory biscuit: came with cheese and I think salt? Simple yet delish.

I was expecting more pastry options. Looks like they focus on limited options for their to-go cases. Drinks were fun, and the basil lemonade was very refreshing. I was not a fan of the cardamom roll, but would go back for the olive oil cake.

I could never write enough reviews about broken tart. I've been way too many times and it's always a blessed time. The treats and pastries are great! There's not one item I can recommend as all the options are pretty great. One thing I can say is the food is fresh and the staff's opinions about the food sold are honest. So you tend to have a great idea of what you may be getting yourself into. all in all, please do yourself a favor and stop by.

Ultra cute bakery. No designated parking lot. Metered street parking nearby. Small space, line going outside the door. Savory and sweet baked items. When you enter, you see some baked goods on the left side of the counter and then a cashier takes your order, but do yourself a favor and check out the display to the right of the register. I missed a bunch of cakes that would have garnered my attention. Ordered a chili oil fried onion cheese biscuit. It might have been better had it been warmed up but it was cooled, hardened, soaked in chili oil and over-buttered. The rating is more for the ambience. Loved the color scheme and the fresh flowers. Did try a bite of cookie and they're on the thin, crispy, slightly chewy side with a healthy amount of sugar. I wish I saw the cakes before my order was taken, those might have been spectacular.

Came in for an afternoon pick me up while on a walk to enjoy the sunshine. I was able to snag the last coconut cake with an espresso glaze along with an iced BT latte which was made with coconut syrup and oat-milk. The cake was so light and not overly sweet. It had the texture of a bundt cake and my drink was sweet and refreshing. There was plenty of seating and there were customers who were doing work or catching up with friends.

Best bakery ever. We love the savories here. The kale salad scone, sweet corn bread biscuit are so unique and creative. Muffins are excellent too. Savories are not too sweet, is what I love about the place. Chocolate chip cookies and ginger cream cookies are also excellent. There is a tiny parking lot about two stores over if you plan to eat in. So happy that this place opened in Oak Park!

Great Bakery in Oak Park! Walking in.. well usually there's a line, it's rather small with a wide selection of Cakes, Cookies, Muffins, Scones, etc. They're actually known for their Kale Scones but I really like the cookies & muffins! They also have this little thing called a "Financier" that's a MUST TRY. Muffins are huge & loaded with blueberries and the cookies are to die for.. try the *Cookies & Cream* you won't regret it! Staff is always very nice and prices are pretty moderate. To me this joint is worth a half hour drive on a Sunday Morning.. you be the judge! Talk Later
