Highly reccommend Ucolor. I don't like having a case because it compromises the integrity of the product design on a phone. Let's face it, we end up buying a new iphone every 3 years anyways. Besides, I've never understood why someone would want the newer-thinner version of a phone, just to cover it with a clunky old otterbox case. So as a result, I do have to replace the glass on my iphone as often as once a year; a small price to pay for the convenience of being able to slide my phone in my back pocket. As you can see by my reviews, I have tried several people on the Westside. This time I was really in need of someone open late as all the previous people I went to were closed at 6pm. I'm still at the office at that time. So I found UColor in the century city mall. The guy literally did it in 5 minutes. A quick stroll through my favorite store and my phone was ready. Every review for this place is 5 stars and for good reason: They are awesome!! So, yeah, I've cracked the screen twice on my iPhone 5. The first time I went to fix it, I used someone who I had to make an appointment with and who never met/spoke to me. (I went to an apartment in Los Angeles, his assistant/girlfriend/wife came out and met me and took my phone to a room, and he fixed it. It was fine, but a little strange.) Ucolor is located in the Century City mall, so I was able to go on my lunch break, and no appointment was needed. I just walked up to the kiosk, handed over my phone, got something to eat, and it was done within 20 min. Aramy is a great guy to deal with. He pointed out that my case wasn't doing anything to protect my phone, and since he's not selling any cases, I felt comfortable with his recommendation. We went through my device to make sure everything was working before he repaired it, and when I told him that everything worked except that I had to put my calls on speaker or use an earpiece, he wanted to test it out because he thought the case might have been the problem. (I had gotten an especially big case in the hopes it would protect my phone. Not only did it not protect it, turns out it was causing a problem.) Sure enough, my phone works fine, and I no longer have to put my calls on speaker. The screen repair is perfect, and Aramy also cleaned up my phone real nice. This place is in a great location. Drop off your phone and run errands or grab a bite. Aramy is the best. I would never go anywhere else to get my iPhone fixed. read more

I've dropped my iphone 5 several times and the screen finally shattered, which was a bit of a bummer. Googled/yelped several places to see where I could go to fix, some seemed a little on the shady side. Decided to try out UColor and was very pleased with the entire experience. Had the screen on my iphone 5 fixed yesterday and was in/out in 20 minutes. Matt was the one to help me out and was very pleasant and quick in his work. When I arrived he said it would take 20 minutes so I walked around the mall for a bit. I even set a stop watch on my ipod to know when I should head back to pick up my phone. I showed up a little before the 20 minute period and the phone was already finished, looking like new again. Next time my screen shatters (I'm sure there will be a next time), I'll save myself some time and just go directly to UColor. They take credit cards (was a big plus), are quick and located close to my work (work in Beverly Hills). Could probably get everything accomplished on my lunch break. read more

The basics: $99 to replace the front unit with a 6 month warranty. Pretty good deal compared to other services that either cost more or offer shorter warranties. The reason I'm giving UColor 5 stars: Matt is amazing! I went to replace a cracked screen, but during the repair he noticed that my battery was going bad (new iPhone 5S), so rather than force a repair on a broken device he advised me to try getting a replacement battery first from Apple (and if they wouldn't cover it, he could replace it for a reasonable price). My plan was to get the new battery, then come back to the Ucolor kiosk for the screen fix. Apple ended up replacing the phone (woohoo!), but should I need a repair in the future I'll be sure to go to Ucolor first! read more

ben is a terrible tech. he asked for a good review even though my screen wasnt seated properly. he blamed it on a bent frame. but what he didnt know is that i had just gotten the frame checked by the apple store in the same mall. oh and the free screen protector promotion??? he couldnt even apply it correctly so where it wasnt instantly peeling. apple is $40 more...PAY IT!!! so worth it. never again will i be cheap on something i rely so heavily on, my phone. read more
