Today was my first time eating at The Broken Yolk in Yuma. It was crazy busy for a Wednesday morning. The wait staff was friendly and professional. All staff seemed to be constantly working and tending from one customer to another. The wait for our food was about 30 minutes. The coffee was very strong and bitter (my husband would say that I'm that way too) but jokes aside the coffee could be better. The food portions were large and the food was hot when served. I would return again, hopefully for lunch next time. read more

My wife and twin newborns went on a Thursday during the late morning and we were surprised at how many people were waiting to get in. Once we got inside we realized why! The service was excellent from beginning to end and very accommodating considering we had two car seats. The food was top notch and left us leaving already planning for the next time we could go back! The owner came over to our table and made us feel welcomed almost as if it was his own home and the staff seemed to follow suite with the same energy. Newly opened restaurant here in Yuma. Lot of patrons showed up which made for a 40 minute wait to get seated. Once seated it took a little long for our food to come out, probably due to new staff still learning. If it wasn't for a "bus boy" Aaron I think this would've been an unpleasant visit. He really went out of his way to make sure we had our waters right away and coffee always filled while we waited for food. I know our server wouldn't of been able to properly serve such a big crowd properly. Over all food was good, place had a good vibe. Once workers get settled in I am sure it will be smoother. I was soo happy when they opened the broken yolk here in Yuma. Ive had it before in San Diego and was never disappointed. Well... not disappointed here in Yuma either. The service was great, our waitress was very nice. The staff overall was very nice, our food was amazing, I had the border benedict and it was just amazing. Even the on duty manager and the owner came to our table to make sure everything went well. My wife was skeptical to go there because she felt that it was just a Denny's with a different name, but she was pleasantly surprised and now cant wait to go back. My experience was terrible bordering on inedible. Coffee was described by husband as afternoon bottom of the pot fire station coffee, it took 3 creamers to get it quasi drinkable. he ordered a hash skillet and he could not eat it all because there was a layer of greasy substance at the bottom. Plus there was no flavor. My plate of sausage patties and eggs arrived with cold eggs, and obvious pre frozen sausage patty that was not cooked evenly on both sides. our waitress was delightful and attentive BUT never again and we will not bring any of our out of town family , company or friends to your establishment. read more

My family and a few close friends went to the pre-grand opening at the new BROKEN YOLK CAFE in Yuma. Our food was delicious and the portions were huge. Our server was Fernie and he was excellent. Miss K. Was doing the rounds and making sure everyone was enjoying their meals and their beverages were topped off. The atmosphere is great the location is excellent and all of the staff were very eager to please. Congratulations to the new owners and we wish you much success. Very Poor Service. Seated promptly and drink orders quickly. Downhill from there. Waited about 10 min to have order taken. When food came out we had no silverware. We asked for some and noted she went and started seating other people. About 4 min later waitress came by to check on us and again asked for silverware and finally got it. By this time food was cold. Never got refill on drinks. When we were done took forever to get bill and pay. Despite food being cold it was tasty and very large portions could only eat half the meal. read more

Been to this place twice, the food and service was good. Though I have to say after much hype about this restaurant, it has the worst coffee no matter how fresh. Very bitter tasting. With the parking lot full we thought they must have delish food. We both ordered omelets. Mine forgot ingredients. Spouse they burned eggs and very little cheese. We both got fruit that looked like it had sat in fridge for a while and my husband grapes had mold on it. The food was excellent! Had the Golden State Benedict, the Wellness breakfast Wrap, and French Toast for the kids. The coffee was great too. The food took 30 min to come out and when it arrived we had no silverware. Food was good but not worth the wait at all. You have to be drunk from the mimosas to wait for the food and enjoy it. It would be understandable if the place was crowded, but it wasn't even half full. Service was bad as well. What a pleasant surprise this restaurant was. From the outside doesn't seem like much but wow! How lookscan be deceiving. Very clean, bright place with lots of outdoor seating for those warm days. Food was fresh and very good. They have a mimosa bar that I plan on checking out next time. We had a group of four and we all had something different and we all liked our selection.
