My first time at Bromley Mountain !

Super beautiful place and so full of life! Tons of activities for families and friends. Alpine Slide is crazy awesome!!

Okay. We are on vacation up here in VT and I bought the triple play package. It was 70 dollars and I feel it was worth it. The ropes course was amazing even if I couldn't make it through all of them. My fiancé conquered three out of four of the courses and felt it the next day for sure. That was just a fun time in the trees. And they give you two hours of rope time which I thought was a good amount of time. My son LOVED the alpine slide. I lost track of the amount of times he went down the slides. We did the zip line. I loved it. I wish it were longer tbh but I mean there's zero complaints from me. We didn't hit the water slide or the mini golf because....alpine slides took priority after the rope course. The staff was amazingly friendly at each adventure we went on. They had us smiling and laughing at each one. That just made it that much better. Everyone was chill and it was welcomed. The only bummer of the place is the food. I mean I don't expect gourmet at all but I don't expect to pay ten dollars for a burger and chips. But I was smart this time and ordered one for my son because I knew he wouldn't eat the whole thing and his leftovers were just perfect. Even the staff at the food section was so friendly so that made up for the random expensive burger sitting under the warming light. I would definitely recommend this to anyone vacationing in the summer. We were all very happy and sore by the time we left!!

Wow. Simply wow. I fell in love with Bromley again. I had last been here in the 1973-74 timeframe when the resort was owned by one of the Pabst beer owners and they had a double double lift and a whole bunch of J-bars. Yes I'm getting old..... Well - when I came here over 40 years ago, Bromley was already one of the historic mountains where the sport of skiing was born. A few years later, it was one of the first ski areas in the country to allow snowboarding. It is historic, it is quaint, it is definitely New England. As if that wasn't granola enough, and to make it even more interesting, the Long Trail and the Appalachian Trail go over the mountain with its amazing views. Although the buildings show their age, I hope they're not just replaced as the character of the mountain and the buildings match. It is beautiful. Coming over to Bromley today is sheer pleasure. One of the very few mountains facing South. So on an uber frosty New England bluebird morning, when even groomed slopes achieve the consistency of furrowed steel, Bromley gets from frosty to powdery in a couple of hours after the sun comes up. Arriving here is easy, the lodge and the slopes are a few feet from the highway. Enter a circular driveway, meet some friendly Ambassadors who will assist in the offload of equipment and bags, and proceed on a driveway and an underpass under the highway to the parking lot, plentiful parking and a bus/truck to bring you back to the lodge. Get your stuff, buy your tickets and then go into the fireplace-centerpieced lodge that has access to everything, from rentals to cafeteria to shops under one roof. I found the staff to be specially congenial and knowledgeable. Once in the lodge, there are plenty of cubicle stands around the walls to store your gear. Nothing drives me up a wall more than people commandeering tables in a ski lodge, leaving their junk under a dining table - some times even ON the table, then going skiing, and creating an abominable chaos by preventing people from even sitting down as chairs and benches don't fit under the table, much less people's feet. Fortunately, Bromley minimizes the problem although when we came back to the lodge for lunch, inconsiderate people were doing just that. Which I blame not as much on the people but on a resort's careless management. Enough of my number one pet peeve. Once you don your gear, walk just a few steps to skier's left to the Sun Quad or for beginners, to the East Mountain fixed double chair. The latter one accesses only beginner trails and keeps novices safe from out-of-control skiers and boarders. The former, the Sun Express Quad, whisks you up to the very top at 3,284 feet, a 1.300-foot vertical, quite respectable, and in addition, affording some of the most amazing scenic views in New England - you can see from New York State, halfway through New Hampshire, and many miles into Massachusetts. On a sunny day, anyone MUST bring a camera or smartphone and take some pictures. As we were unsure of the conditions that seemed from downright icy to groomed, we began our day on the long Green cruiser, Runaround, to Upper and Lower Thruway. We found this first run deliciously groomed, and returned to the Sun Express to take some of the runs off the Twister run, also well groomed and well snow covered. Once we skied several of these superb runs as the snow was softening up under the bright south sun, we moved to the Blue Ribbon Quad, a fixed quad serving primarily Black Diamond terrain. There were numerous Black Diamonds, all in good to excellent conditions. Overall, a superb, refreshing, high-energy day. One item worth taking to Bromley on a bluebird day... I didn't think I would need it. DO take sunscreen. Or else be ready with a good supply of sunburn lotion at home and be prepared to look like a raccoon for a couple or weeks. We'll definitely be back.

It's festive and fresh but really truly comfortable from the moment you walk in. The staff is genuinely warm and professional, and Robin at the front desk is a gem of a person. I have stayed twice since they reopened and both times wanted to linger in the lobby on the couches by the fire and take it in-you will too. The restaurant is EXCELLENT. I've tried the hummus and veggies, the chicken tenders, deviled eggs, steak frites, and chicken sandwich. I have high marks for all but consistently across the board, everything has made me say "the Chef treated this dish right". Wine menu is solid and there are awesome cocktails. Our server Eric is a professional through and through. The rooms are exactly as comfortable as you would hope they would be. Beds are great, shower water pressure is solid, there's a mini fridge, and the hotel shampoo and conditioner are actually really good! I have NEVER said that in my life. Some rooms are ski in/ski out, some face the mountain (cool to see the other skiers) some face the road (you won't notice much because the view over the valley is stunning) I say all of this as both a local who is glad this is a part of our community, a seasoned hospitality professional, and a mom of a toddler who agrees on all points except the cocktails. Did I mention they have maple milkshakes? These guys are doing it right.

Large parking lot (gets busy on the weekend, but you should find a space by the end of the ski day) and the place is super clean. It's a bit outdated, but still what you expect in a ski lodge. Main floor has a large fireplace, TV and couches in a spacious sitting area on the main floor, games, plus a standard sized pool table too. Breakfast area and a small bar (takeout window only) also on this floor. Lower level has the arcade room for the kids and it is a huge space. Plus side is it keeps the young ones busy and out of your way if you stay without young children. Downside is the space has many out of order games and others that simply take your money without warning. We lost a dollar on skee ball on Monday. No biggie. Just not marked how much it cost and it wasn't working after four quarters. Also a nice large room for your ski gear on this level. Not a space that makes you feel super comfortable leaving your gear, but I am told they lock it overnight. Small laundry space too. $5 for 2 hours. You can simply add the charge to your room at the front deck. Our room was a standard double and it wasn't bad at all. No balcony or view of the mountain, but we had a large window to open and you'll need it. It was very warm in the lodge itself and our room too with no option to control the temp, so be prepared. Beds were fairly comfortable and sheets were fresh and clean. Shower pressure was the best I have ever experienced and the water was scalding hot. Breakfast was a huge plus on Sunday, but don't expect anything close to that for midweek of if there aren't many guests. I get why they cut things down tremendously, but we went from eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes and killer pancakes on Sunday to a small plate of muffins (bran/multiwhatever and blueberry) and they weren't very good. They still had dry cereal, oatmeal, bagels and cream cheese and toast, but a big letdown after being overwhelmed with options on Sunday. No heads up on the major change. We ended up going out for breakfast on our way out of town. Everyone working there were super nice. Rob greeted us when we arrived and went over everything in great detail (ok, maybe not what to expect for breakfast on Monday :) ). The folks in the dining area were very nice too. That is always a plus. Not sure we will ski Bromley again in the near future, but booking this lodge would be a no brainer if we decided to do so.

Like, you walk in...the keys to your room are in a basket with a piece of paper on the counter, name on that as well. It's very weird. I guess the ...the future? Lemme say a few things..good and bad about that. The Good! Ok...super convenient. In.....and OUT! You drop your key in the basket and bounce. No check-in or check-out. But see! AH! There is also some bad to that...."bad" FOREVER we have ALL dealt with front desk employees. So...we all have gotten used to that, right? Of course. There is some kind of comfort in having a front desk employee there. Thats about all the good...I would say lol The BAD! What if you lock your key in your room on accident? You are basically screwed. Not sure if there is a way to contact anyone to get you back in and yes....they are actual keys! Not the little cards we all see at regular, mainstream hotels. I DID! lock my key in the room the following morning. THANKFULLY! there was ONE employee there...BUT she was there to make the continental breakfast...which I will talk about in a min. She was able to give me my spare key. Thank God. If you need something in the middle of the night...oh well. There is no one there to assist you. They tell you where extra towels are and stuff like that on the paper you get when you check yourself in. It's an Inn...and Inn very close to the slopes. So when there is actual snow and the place is packed....I would assume its similar to being in a college dorm lol Don't get me wrong tho, place is very homey. The common room is incredible and I kept imaging it when I was there....FK! this would be so much fun during ski season and this place is full of people! HOWEVER! People drink and drink a lot. The walls here are THIIIIIIIIN!!! So be prepared for that! BRING. EAR. PLUGS! and use the in room ac unit for the fan to drown out noise from other rooms. You will need it. The views from the rooms are beyond incredible. I have some attached. Beautiful views of the slopes and in the Fall...the colors. The breakfast! FKN! INCREDIBLE!!! She put out all the basics, bagels and whatnot, full muffins...amazing! She made these cinnamon muffins....SO. GOOD!! I too a few home with me to give to my mom haha! Overall, it's a great place. Really is. I would definitely stay again. OH! They allow dogs....for a fee of course...even the super tiny ones. They will know too if you have a dog with you. Cameras....everywhere. It's located on a busy road..so keep a close eye on those pups. The grounds around the Inn are amazing. Cute little pond out back, sitting areas all around. It's a wonderful place. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone going through Manchester or anywhere near there. Very unique experience. I honestly can't remember ever staying at an Inn before. There is something definitely...better..about an Inn vs staying at one of the big hotel chains. Feels more like....a house? with lots of strangers haha! Thanks for reading, YelperBromleyians! My kids loved the inn and the great room gave us a wonderful place to connect with cousins but...there is very little soundproofing in the rooms and, as a result, it was a bit stressful to try to keep our two (under ten) quite enough that we felt we weren't disturbing other guests. We had issues with the Roku television maintaining a connection to the internet and the hot tub (while lovely) is directly outside a room - you can see into the room while you're sitting in the hot tub. Most other guests seemed understanding...but we definitely got a few frustrated glares.

It was pretty much exactly what I would have imagined a BnB to be in a northeast ski town. The hospitality was second to none - warm smiles and helpful local hints, great big breakfast with toast, fruit, with eggs, bacon, and sausage all from local farms. The cat was even friendly, who curled up with me as I worked to catch up on some business in one of the many open gathering spaces late at night.
