Yes!!! I 100% agree with the accuracy of the negativity from Broncos Steakhouse in Manukau. I recently took in my family for an expected quality steak meals, realising that after the orders were taken, the sheer lack of hospitality and unfriendly atmospheric service from staff surfaced out of the blue. Inside at the bar, the dyed black haired fattish barmaid who wasn't enthusiastic kept disappearing to the kitchen area. On my inquiry with her I asked why is it taking so long to get our drinks served to our table, because wed been waiting for a wee while now, she said " (as if to say its none of my business,) she responded having to finish something in the kitchen, there was a slight detection of annoyance from her tones. I was a little astonished at her response. She said "I'll bring them to your table". I started to grow concerned for our order as it was taking quite a bit over the time the waitress said it will take. Our side dishes of breads are on the table and still no meal to eat with it, I said to her I didn't order entrées, so these were to be eaten with our meal. She said she'll tell the chef. I then asked if she could please tell the chef to ensure our steaks are cooked to order and how much longer away? She didn't come back with a timeframe. Before our plates finally arrived the waitress put our cutlery to each of us on the wooden table outside, placed a serviette down with the fork and knife actually making contact with the elements exposure from those tables. DID NOT expect the lack of care or consideration instead of placing them on a plate first, it's so simple to do! My family are quite reserved and humbling people who don't like making fuss especially in public forums including restaurants or bistros. My son leaned over to me quietly saying" It's ok". My son just got up took them off the table went inside to get 4 small plates and replaced our cutlery. I was purely dismayed at the unfriendly atmosphere and attitude of the staff. When we received our meals the presentation was so underclass, very messy, inconsistency in the plating with 1 of the steaks that was too blue and all of the salads served were wilted. I called for the maître'd, another lady come out to me saying they only have a manager asking what do I want her for? that she can help instead. I had become frustrated at this point, explaining my disappointment. The waitress picked up the blue steak replying she'll tell their chef "I'm not happy with it"! I carefully tried to lower her voice for respect of my family, so I walked to the bar, asked to speak to the manager, and the dyed black haired fattish woman said she was the "manager" so I proceeded with my complaint to her. Her emphatic response was "well she'll tell her chef to recook the meal stating that "NO ONE" has ever made complaints about there chef "OR" their staff and I was the very first they've ever had complaining. My son came inside pulled me away and said to me ever so comforting saying it's ok mum, just have our meal, pay for our meals, leave, and don't come back. This is what we did, we paid, leaving absolutely no tips, but at least my family gave undeserving acknowledgement to thank them. Basically working just to get whatever their reason is, showing any passion, not taking pride in themselves or their work, or who they work for, I hope the proprietor reconsiders production for a lucrative business or employees that are just bucking his Bronco. Dinners, DON'T DINE AT BRONCOS MANUKAU, there truly are wonderful friendly and family orientated restaurants around, check online and reviews first, I do now. Thanks guys. read more
