An unremarkable and yet pretentious little bar. Just wanting a pint of beer? No luck. Everything is in a pretty little glass. Which you pay for the luxury of getting to hold, I guess, cuz it ain't cheap. The burger patties taste unseasoned and charred. The buffaloes cauliflower bites are really fantastic though! I finally got a chance to come to this place and sadly I'd probably never go back. I gave this place a try with my cousin as she always comes here for there wings. I decided on ordering the "fried chicken sandwich". She decided to give something else a try that day and went on and ordered the steak sandwich, The food did come out in a timely manner which was great but the chicken sandwich 1 was not fried and 2 literally was as stiff as paper it seemed like a frozen patty. I would have 100% chosen a mc chicken from Mc.donalds over this. The steak was also extremely hard to chew. We winded up getting rid of our orders and she decided on just getting her usual wings. This place has been on my mind every since a friend mentioned it a few years ago. I've heard the beer + burgers are fantastic. Just wanted to drop a review and say: 1) the burgers 110% live up to the hype, especially the drunk onion burger. So juicy and perfectly cooked. 2) the onion rings were an unexpected show-stealer -- delishhhhh! 3) the hot cider is the perfect cold weather-outdoor seating treat. Tempted to go buy a gallon myself now and spice it overnight so I can relive that every cold evening 4) the staff are so attentive, sweet, and honest. And the food came out fast! I came here on a whim with a group of friends on a Friday and we weren't sure how many people would be there... and it ended up being more than we expected. The staff was SO accommodating in setting up tables and chairs outside. Now for the food/drinks. I didn't get any food, but some of the people in my group got the fried Mac n cheese and the cauliflower wings... they seemed to really enjoy both of those options, and I was bummed I had eaten before meeting up. I got one of their specialty cocktails-- the Coco Vin-- which was perfect for a hot summer evening. It is a gin drink with strong citrus flavors (I think fresh lemon and lime juice), not too sweet, and then finished with coconut water! There were also little chunks of diced coconut in the drink too, which was peculiar, but I didn't hate it (I'm kind of peculiar). Anyway, we will definitely be back!! The Bronx ale house is one of those places I hope is better in person. When I under the smoke ribs they were completely dried up no flavor and felt like I was chewing a belt. I rate this resturant 4/5. The resturant has outdoors and indoors dinning. Went around 4pm and they were not busy surprisingly. It is a sports ball with beers of every unique flavor. This is one of my top 5 wings spot in the city. This is my 9th time here. It usually is busy and they will write your name. When it is busy the service is a bit horrible but it's understandable. As we were seated water was taken to us. The server comes and takes down the drink order then gives you time for the rest of the order. For drink: I got a beer. I love beers. I got 15 Allagash triple. For appetizer: We went with fried mac'n cheese. This is my absolute favorite. It is a perfect way to start with off. It is crispy yet so creamy and heart warming on the inside. For Lunch: I ordered traditional wings flats ONLY. Ordered Thai Chili, House BBQ and Jerk Sauce. Thai Chili is the best sauce they have hands down! It has a kick of spice yet it is sweet. It is always a great choice. The House BBQ you cannot go wrong with. If you want to play it safe just get House BBQ. Now the Jerk sauce it is SPICY. I love jerk sauce but this sauce made my lips plush. I loved it. Lastly we got the Garlic Parmesan Fries. They were ok. I feel like it was missing more Parmesan cheese. Were a but soggy too. Overall- the food was amazing. The service when they are busy is not the greatest. Placed an order for pick-up. When I arrived I gave them my name, but they were having trouble locating it, even though I had received a text saying it was ready. 5-10 minutes later they said they had accidentally given my order to a delivery driver, but they were rushing a new order and it would be out in 10 minutes. Annoying, but these things happen. Fine. Well, 30 minutes later, and 45 minutes total since I first arrived, my order finally comes out. It's handed to me with a mild "We're really sorry." I said "That's it?". I wasn't offered money off my bill, or to sit and have a drink while I waited, or any kind of gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience that was completely their fault. Instead I was left to stand outside for 45 minutes to wait for my food. When I pointed this out, the young woman who gave me my food said "Well I'm not the manager. My manager is inside if you want to talk to him." I told her I wasn't wasting any more time, and that your manager should have been made aware of the situation and come outside and talked to me. It's a shame. The food is good, but the service is TERRIBLE. read more

The classic hip hop that echoed in the restaurant was also a super plus in my book. Now lets get down to the food and drinks my buddy was able to get a shot and a beer for 12$ you cant beat that i settled for a cider very tasty and crisp. Bronx Alehouse has never been on my radar. Not because I wasn't aware of it. But because I would intentionally tune it out and thought it was primarily a beer house with too many dishes cooked with pork- none that I eat or drink. But my husband, wanted to stop here before heading home and assured me that the Bronx Alehouse offered a Veggie Burger. Aquí voy... Cheerful energy with an awesome, multiethnic mix and felt like, I just went through a time warp from the Bronx to like someplace in Brooklyn. Place was packed to the gills and decided to sit at the bar while my girl Liz, manned the Bar with ease. Started with a 'Curious Georgia' cocktail with a nice list of ingredients that soon crept up on me and gave me a good brain rattle. At the same time, Mr. Man, really enjoyed a few craft Beers and was explaining to me, Bronx Alehouse's monitoring system and how it tracks the freaking barrels. But all that information did nothing for me, as it went into one ear and out the other. Menu is nice and noticed their several dishes call for pork and seemed, I can swap this for that or still keep the main dish and eliminate, what I didn't want. That was doable! Hubby had gotten his Burger with bacon, while I was still waiting for mine. Whatever happened, Liz put it in again and mentioned a 5 minute wait. And because of the wait, homegirl hooked me up with a second cocktail- on her. Excellent! My Portobello Open Faced "Burger", was very good and topped with a unique spin of a Caprese Salad with no complaints from hubby. I recently ordered here and the food was HORRIBLE! I have been there before years ago and the food has DEFINITELY changed. Maybe the chef changed. I am not sure. The menu is the same but the look and taste of the food is very different from years ago. The Mac and cheese had no taste, the burger was not that great from my friend who had it and the ONE thing I loved, the jerk bites ....are now disgusting. It doesn't look or taste ANYTHING like they used to. They actually looked burned and taste nothing like the old recipe which looked more like grilled chicken chunks with a flavorful jerk rub. I don't know WHAT this was supposed to be , not jerk bites!!! I no longer recommend this place and would not order here again! The fact that they would serve this to someone is crazy! Ehh. It was okay. I'm compelled to write a review because the wings are NOT great. I went for the wings because so many reviews rave. The sauces are tasty, but the wings, single or double cooked were both soggy skinned. Yuck. I dont understand who's writing these reviews about fabulous wings? Theyve certainly never had a good plate of buffalo wings. We sat at the bar because the dining room doesnt have chairs, they have unpadded backless icy cold metal stools that felt like they were a weird height too, like they were a little short. If there wasnt room at the bar, we might not have stayed. The bartender was a very nice guy, helpful, knowledgeable, made suggestions about beers and the menu when asked, but he wasnt very alert. Even though it was 5pm on a Tuesday he seemed half asleep and it was tough to get his attention. Burgers were good, but again, just average. The happy hour "specials" were nothing special. I had the king steak and it was one of the best cheesesteaks I've had. The garlic bread on the sandwich made it unique. The food is your typical bar food with an innovative twist. I have been coming here for the past ten years and I just leaving a review just now. I love the ambiance, it is very laid back and open to families. They have many beer options which always nice. The one issue I have with it is the quality of the food, it has definitely declined in the past 5 years. Nonetheless, the service has always been top tier and immaculate. Alex is not professional enough to have the manager title when he's downing shots while on the clock. And whoever the server was that looked at her watch and said "it's really late" before we even opened our mouths to order deserves to be fired. Alex said a few things that has not sat well with me since the last time I was here and my partner pointed out to him the bad service we received. I loved the pub atmosphere. The chairs were a little uncomfortable, but it was not too much of a problem. I highly recommended upgrading your fries to truffle fries for the $2. There were plenty of beers on draft. I had the OG burger, and it was juicy and flavorful. There were a lot of TVs too. There was a room with the bar and one without.
