Suzy has always been so understanding and really seems to know when our cat wants attention or just company without any pets or extra attention. Suzy would also send daily email updates and was very accommodating with medications. The room has a bed, window with a perch, litter box, scratching post, plenty of toys, relaxing music, and air conditioning in the summer. We had an initial meet and greet to make sure it would be a good fit, and Suzy is always forthcoming with recommendations and takes time to listen to our cat's needs whenever she is dropped off. I would highly recommend Cuddles and Tails if you're looking for a more personal touch with pet boarding.

When my puppy was around 4-5 months old, I brought her to the FiDi location for a nail trim. I explained that she was a puppy and I wanted to slowly get her accustomed to grooming and ease her into it. I explained she doesn't do well when wired and asked that she be allowed to play with the other puppies first so she could exhaust some energy. That request was dismissed by the groomer and he took her out of my hands and brought her far into the back grooming area, completely out of sight. He didn't respond to anything I said and the receptionist intervened explaining he'll try. When he took her back to the grooming room, I could not see her or communicate that I wanted the service to stop. While she was back there, I could hear her barking, and her cries were screeching. I assumed the groomer would stop if she was that distressed, but instead the nail trim proceeded. She was returned to me with a small scratch on her face, frantic and trying to hide. The actual groomer didn't even bother to discuss what happened. I was then told by the receptionist that she may be too "difficult to groom" and should probably only be groomed at home, which felt inappropriate given that the service had continued despite her visible distress. This experience was traumatic not only for my puppy, but for me as a new puppy owner. Watching a very young dog in clear distress, feeling unheard, and having no ability to intervene was extremely upsetting. What's important to note is that she is now regularly groomed elsewhere and does exceptionally well. At her current groomer, she is calm, cooperative, and often falls asleep on the table. She is clearly capable of being groomed gently and appropriately. However, since this experience, she continues to struggle specifically with having her paws touched, something she did not have an issue with beforehand. I'm sharing this not out of spite, but out of concern. If a puppy is this distressed, the service should stop , not be forced. I hope this feedback encourages better judgment and handling so other young dogs, and their owners, don't have to go through the same experience.

Grant it, there were one or two "hiccups" with unreliable employees (which is always an issue with any company) but management was quick and responsive and made sure my dog was in good care. But my fur baby wasn't only in good care, she was in great care. When I traveled and needed overnight stays, the staff spent so much time in my apartment. I assured the younger ones that they could go out at night, but they insisted on staying with my dog. They absolutely spoiled her with love and attention. My dog had behavioral issues in the beginning as she was a rescue, and they handled them beautifully. Towards the end they were very caring and understanding when my dog's health deteriorated. I am not ready to adopt again, but when I do, I will not hesitate to use their services again.

I knew that I could no longer rely on my good friend who just enjoyed visiting the cats while I was away, but I needed professional help to not only visit Cassie and my other cat, Napoleon Dynamite, on a schedule, yet also feel comfortable with letting someone in my home twice a day, and to trust those people. I give Riverside Bark a five star rating. I constantly got updates while I was on a trip to the Pacific Northwest, like clockwork. When the sitter had some troubles with Cassie (she gets a little anxious and scared, and doesn't let people around her), he called me immediately, put me on FaceTime so I could try talking to her! Anyone else I'm sure would think I was crazy...but my baby needed her mama! Within the day, she came around, and fell in love with Beau, who is not only amazing with dogs, he took such good care of my baby kitties...In fact, I think they were disappointed I came home!! Theresa is incredibly kind, reliable, responsible, professional, and knowledgeable. Kind - Very thoughtful to my needs and to the needs of my special (extremely timid, probably from abuse) rescue dog. She even made time to attend my dog's training session, at the request of the dog trainer! Reliable - Always there when we need her, very accomodating. Responsible - Always thinking responsibly re the needs of my dog (e.g. suggesting a vet trip (and even taking her to the vet) and getting her food, when I have irresponsibly run out). Professional - Sends receipts, breakdown of package, and usage of package. She even sends me updates (with pictures!) on what my dog did (or didn't do) while under her supervision. Charlie is extremely responsive via text or email and it is easy to pay to your bill. Since we live in the building, we get a discount and they even pick up and drop off our dog every day.
