Many years ago I was diagnosed with keratoconus-a rare progressive corneal condition that results in glare, distortions, and eventually permanent decrease in vision . Israeli doctors told me that eventually 'would be blind , and would not be able drive and certainly not be able to work in the profession as a lawyer-which was my dream and my goal . A lot of doctors and optometrists tried to fit me with contact lenses , but due to the original disease as well as cerebral palsy and muscle spasticity it seemed like an impossible task to accomplish . I turned to Dr.Orloff as my last resort -I mean it without any exaggeration. She was able to do an impossible , and step by step was able to fit me with specialty contacts -a combination of soft and hard contact lens that have me an opportunity to work on computer, read, work and even drive ! I was able to finish and obtain my law degree and I am currently full time employed. Ever since my first time coming to this office, I always felt welcomed and treated with the uppermost care. As soon as you walk in, the ladies at the front welcome you and assist you right away, regardless whether the phones are ringing or they are busy. Of course it is a medical office so you expect them to be busy, but they always check if any of my information has changed, ask if there is anything else they can help me with. Satisfied and I definitely felt welcomed. The doctors are extremely thorough, I have seen Dr. Orloff and Dr. Korik-Barrett - the best optometrists you may find - they guided me for all the tests, checked my glasses and contacts. The optical side was phenomenal as well - showed me the frames, explained the insurance breakdown for lenses - I was very pleased. I was going Metro Optics in Parkchester in the Bronx because I was experiencing double vision. Metro Optics concluded that I was just getting old. I went to Dr. Orloff and Dr. Eleonora and they immediately, I mean immediately found the problem. Thanks to Dr. Eleonora's request for a very thorough number of examinations, I was made aware that I have a meningioma in the membrane of my brain. They have options for me moving forward and they resolved my double vision issue right away. I noticed their experience immediately. This couple of Doctors are very warm, caring and concerned for their patients. The world needs more medical professionals like them. Lisa and Robert made me feel like family when they assisted me. I've had several encounters with employees in this place but one stands out and I had to write about it. I won't go into the specifics because then I would have to share the unpleasant and this is not what this review is about. As in most work places there are people that do the bare minimum (we all have our days, I get it) and those that go above and beyond what you'd expect, exceeding expectations and without knowing it undoing the wrongs. This is for the gentlemen by the name of (Robert) who in my opinion has proven to be exceptional and an example to his coworkers on how people should be treated. Great experience at Bronx Eye Associates!! It was recommended by a friend, so I made the trip from Queens. When I got there I was welcome in the lobby by a staff member that checked my temperature and make sure I had an appointment. Once I enter the office I notice all staff were wearing masks and the receptionist area was divided by glass. They had hand sanitizers and disinfectant wipes all over the office. Every other chair in the waiting area was marked with an "X", so people will respect the distance. All these safety measurements made me feel like they care for my health!. Katia help me with the paperwork and she was fantastic, efficient, and friendly. I saw Dr. Eugene Orloff, he provided excellent service. I felt that I was in good hands. Overall great experience!! People watch this business. Take pictures and videos, if you see them revert back to unlawful operations. I recently passed by and saw a big difference in their operations. It seems as though the owners are attempting to correct their mistakes. They implemented a few new procedures that look very promising; however, for how long? Finally, they are enforcing social distancing and patient evaluations prior to entering the establishment. Finally, curbside pickup is being utilized. FINALLY, the employees and patients are safer. PEOPLE keep your eyes open, contact 311 and OSHA, if you feel at risk. No one should be above the law and this business has been getting away with unlawful COVID practices since their reopening. I will not stand for it. I believe the next step is reporting this business to Contact Tracers due to their lack of due regard for weeks after their reopening. read more

I want to express my heartfelt thank you to Dr. Korik and Bronx Eye Associates. My son had an accident with his eye. I frantically tried to locate an eye doctor who would accommodate us on short notice when I came across Bronx Eye Associates. I explained to the front desk staff that my son was bleeding from his eye and was given a prompt appointment. I was scheduled to see Dr. Korik and although Dr. Korik was leaving for the day, she stayed past her scheduled time to see my son. Dr. Korik was able to calm both my son and I and ordered the necessary tests that were required for him. She explained the outcome of the test and explained what could have been the outcome of his eye injury (thankfully this wS was not the outcome). Dr. Korik is caring thorough and thoughtful. Very disgusted and disappointed at how this business is continuing to operate. Yesterday, this office was packed like a can of sardines. If I worked there, I would have walked out. NO SOCIAL DISTANCING whatsoever!!! OSHA ....!!! 311NYC....!!! These two agencies are next. Videos and Pictures are next....straight to OSHA. This business will be the cause of the spread of Covid here on Pelham Parkway. It's nice to say kind words about the doctors, but what are they doing to stop this unlawful practice. My Husband and I walked-in with no appointment and we were still seen by Dr. Simona Korik. We didn't have to wait. I can say she is the BEST, not only was she very professional, but she saved my husband's life.She paid for our cab to the Emergency room. She took her time with us.
