Tried the food here a few weeks ago and it was good. The chips were stale, but the fajitas and burrito were good. Service was great.

We decided to give this place a try. We live in Castro Valley and want to support local buissneses…read more My wife ordered a 2 item plate with a chicken soft taco and chile relleno and I the Molcajetes Tradicional. My wifes chicken taco had plenty of chicken and she said it was ok. The chile relleno was thickly battered and a bit bland. My Molcajetes had beef, chicken, chorizo and shrimp. The only thing edible was the shrimp. The chorizo was hard and dry. The beef was literally like chewing on leather. Over cooked and dry as sawdust, I had quite a time just cutting it into bite sized pieces. Unedible! The chicken was not much better. The server asked if everything was ok. I calmly told him no and what the issue was. I said I will pay for it but you can throw it away. He offered something that I couldn't understand what he said and I said to get rid of it, I don't want it. Didn't offer to reduce or remove the cost. I usually roll with it when things aren't great but this needed to be addressed. As expensive as things are restaurants can't rest on their laurels. You had better be on your "A" game or you will be out of buisness. I literally do not want mexican food in my future for some time based on our experience at this restaurant. -5 stars.

Updating my review to 4-4.5 stars based on our late lunch visit today (Thursday,7/2/25)…read more Ordered a variety of items for the table of 6. :: Don Jose's - carne asada tacos - this was nicely marinated beef with mushrooms, lettuce, avocado and sliced radish with cilantro aioli. Delicious and an All Day special of $9 :: Chili Relleno - with refried beans and rice. Uncle really enjoyed his dish said it was very flavorful. :: Enchiladas - with rice and beans. Sister and other uncle really enjoyed. Great flavor, nice filling Tortilla chips and salsa complimentary. Service super attentive and professional. Our server (my bad didn't get her name) was always checking on us and the manager stopped over as well. Cousin said the carne asada tacos were a bit different the week before (he visits weekly to visit Uncle at the nearby care home) and something changed this week but still good. Maybe different chef *shrugs* Interior decor like a Mexican Villa. Nice and clean with a full bar. Sadly, place isn't too busy but hope they get more business in the evening and weekends. Spot has been around for a long time and hate to see them leave. Great spot for a big gathering, happy hour. Parking can be a bit tricky so best to find parking on the streets to avoid the circling and grief of dealing with inconsiderate (and clueless) people.

Was looking for a taco spot after an event in San Jose. I could've stayed in San Jose but the rain…read morewas super heavy and I wanted to go somewhere closer to home. Not a lot of taco spots are open late at 10p but I saw that PNT was open. My family and I pulled into the driveway and were confused because it looked and sounded like a bar. There were a few people standing outside and I asked if this was a bar or restaurant and the gentleman said it's a restaurant. We walk in and got some stares because it was late and we had kids. Didn't matter to us. Everything on the menu sounded delish and they had al day breakfast items. We ended up going with the following: 1. Chicken sandwich- 10/10 my teen loved this. It was a crispy thinly sliced chicken breast with all the fixings, and pressed to perfection. 2. Chicken Caesar salad - 10/10 the lettuce was Romain, tossed in Caesar dressing and parm, with grilled chicken filet. 3. 4 tacos de asada - 10/10 yummy chopped steak, seasoned and grilled to perfection. I'm not sure if the evening chef cooks better or maybe we were starving, but the food was great! Ambience at the time was pretty loud but I figure it's because people hanging out in the bar area. Definitely will be back.

‼Absolutely horrible tasting food that is ridiculously over priced oh my god. NOT WORTH MY $44 !…read more I got these food items: Asada tacos- 1/2 of the taco meat was just big oily chunks of fat, I spat it out immediately. Rest of it was tolerable to chew. Tortilla was dry and oily. Al Pastor tacos- bland meat with a lingering dry pepper aftertaste that makes the meat taste old. Took one bite and was immediately repulsed. Chips and dip (guac and salsa)- chips are oily and hard to chew. Guac was bland, no garlic or cut tomato. Salsa was a viscous sludge in a small tub, had the same pepper taste as the Al Pastor. Horchata drink- too much cinnamon and saw multiple lidded to go cups of this already made in the fridge behind the register, no expiration dates on them. ALSO PLEASE UPDATE THE PRICES ON YOUR MENU, I was charged $11.95 for the chips and dip but the menu says "house chips and guac $9.50" ... how is salsa $2.45? Only positive thing I would mention is that the free tiny salsa, slice of lime, sliced radish, and pickled jalapeño and carrot was nice of them. Wish the pickled veggies didn't drip vinegar all over the bag (it was wrapped in tin foil). Never been here before and never coming back again.
