4.5 stars This Mexican spot is a great find! There's a parking lot, which makes it very convenient. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. We ordered the pastor super burrito, which is literally twice the size of a regular burrito. It's enough to feed at least two people. The pastor meat was good and tender and portion size is huge for the price! Definitely worth it if you're hungry or want a meal to share.

I pass by this place at least four times a day and finally decided to pop in. [[HIGHLIGHT]]First off, it's super cute inside and so much to look at.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Second, it's clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It currently has a Día de los Muertos altar that's super sweet. Food. Super Burrito for the kid - he loves burritos but he said that this one was really, really good. He got asada and said the flavor was good. There is so much on the menu and I ended up with steak fries based on the staff's recommendation. Yup. I don't always go for carbs but when I do - I want them to be worth it. It was. Loaded with meat, cilantro, crema and salsa - they were so good and I didn't even finish them. The price is very good and I saw so many more things I'd like to try. Glad I finally stopped by!

Omg this has to be my favorite spot when hubby and I are craving Mexican food. We've been here a few times and have not been disappointed. The service is good and the guy is welcoming and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restaurant is always clean, food is flavorful, and you get hearty portions.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you live in the area come and support this local business, and even if you don't stop by you won't be disappointed. I always get a shrimp burrito and my tacos. The burritos are huge I thought I had a photo but don't worry I'll take one and upload it check them out guys.

*4.5* This is Taqueria El Cruzero's 2nd location after their OG Oakland spot. They're off the side of the main road with pretty accessible street parking and I was the only customer when I dropped by this one for Monday night dinner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]No frills interior with ample seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Grabbed an asada super burrito (with guac, sour cream, and cheese +$2) the size of my entire forearm for $16 even. This was a great burrito that fed me for two meals, and this is coming from someone whose Chipotle bowl record is sub 5 minutes with a tortilla on the side. You won't leave hungry or disappointed. Will be back and soon.

I decided to have some crispy tacos today near the San Leandro Costco after shopping. And this is one of the places that showed up in my yelp search. To get a feel for their meats, I sampled 4 different regular tacos: Birria, lengua, cabeza, and sadeuro. All were stellar, but the lengua stood out for its super tenderness and perfect touch of saltiness. We tried the lengua as the crispy Dorados Taco. I haven't had a lot of crispy tacos, but this one shot up to the top of my mental rolodex. The shell was so crunchy but angelically light! And there was a boatload of fillings on top that the surprisingly complemented the lengua as opposed to smothering it. The guy behind the counter was super friendly and nice. Gave total owner vibes. Very accommodating. We didn't want anything spicy in the tacos and requested the salsa to be on the side. The crispy taco had something spicy on it so we got another one which they made sure to not have anything spicy on it. And comped us the first one! Exceptional service! I'll be back to try the other things on their menu. Small lot onsite but a good amount of street parking.

Tacos were so yummy! My favorite in order: carne asada, carnitas, then chicken. Salsa was also yummy and had a nice little spicy kick. Bf ordered 2 al pastor and 2 carne asada tacos. Tacos were $3 each. Service was quick. The guy taking our order at the front was nice. Also checked in with us to make sure everything was good. Lastly, loved their tables and chair set. Intricate carvings and vibrant colors. Would def come back when in the area!

Its Bay Area time, and I'd like to share with you some places I hit on my last trip. I was going to visit a family friend in San Leandro. TEL is on Doolittle on the way to her and her husband's house, so it was very convenient to stop by for lunch. TEL offers a number of tacos, birria and other traditional Mexican dishes. The carne asada plate caught my eye, and I was glad I ordered it. There was plenty of tender, nicely marinated skirt steak. In addition, the handmade tortillas were moist and delicious. Regarding the ambiance, its very casual in here. Nonetheless, you can get your fave Jarritos or fave Mex beer from a cooler after you pay. You order at the counter, and they bring your food to you.. The service was friendly & warm. There were quite a few regulars. I have close ties with my family friend, so I plan on visiting her at least once a year. I will definitely stop by TEL again to get some authentic, savory Mex food.

Not a lot of taco spots are open late at 10p but I saw that PNT was open. My family and I pulled into the driveway and were confused because it looked and sounded like a bar. There were a few people standing outside and I asked if this was a bar or restaurant and the gentleman said it's a restaurant. We walk in and got some stares because it was late and we had kids. Didn't matter to us. Everything on the menu sounded delish and they had al day breakfast items. We ended up going with the following: 1. Chicken sandwich- 10/10 my teen loved this. It was a crispy thinly sliced chicken breast with all the fixings, and pressed to perfection. 2. Chicken Caesar salad - 10/10 the lettuce was Romain, tossed in Caesar dressing and parm, with grilled chicken filet. 3. 4 tacos de asada - 10/10 yummy chopped steak, seasoned and grilled to perfection. I'm not sure if the evening chef cooks better or maybe we were starving, but the food was great! Ambience at the time was pretty loud but I figure it's because people hanging out in the bar area. Tortilla was dry and oily. Al Pastor tacos- bland meat with a lingering dry pepper aftertaste that makes the meat taste old. Took one bite and was immediately repulsed. Chips and dip (guac and salsa)- chips are oily and hard to chew. Guac was bland, no garlic or cut tomato. Salsa was a viscous sludge in a small tub, had the same pepper taste as the Al Pastor. Horchata drink- too much cinnamon and saw multiple lidded to go cups of this already made in the fridge behind the register, no expiration dates on them. ALSO PLEASE UPDATE THE PRICES ON YOUR MENU, I was charged $11.95 for the chips and dip but the menu says "house chips and guac $9.50" ... how is salsa $2.45? Only positive thing I would mention is that the free tiny salsa, slice of lime, sliced radish, and pickled jalapeño and carrot was nice of them. Wish the pickled veggies didn't drip vinegar all over the bag (it was wrapped in tin foil). Never been here before and never coming back again.
