Lemon loaf before getting into the vet

I'm only giving four stars because the wait time was ridiculous. The women in front taking you in are extremely sweet and make you feel comfortable asking them questions. The Dr was very nice and quick but like I said the wait time was rough I waited about two hours to be seen but she did help save my chicken YES I SAID MY CHICKEN lol and thanks to her she's alive today still! Worth spending your money because they're you're pet it shouldn't matter. My chicken had a prolapsed vent and it cost me with medication and stitches $330 which to be honest is not bad because I know I couldn't fix my hen from that horrible accident so I'm my opinion worth spending a couple dollars. Worth coming to this place to see Dr G

Ohhhh myyyy Godddd where do I begin?! Firstly I had a really hard time finding a vet that would even see my Neo (Frilled Dragon) Everyone said the same thing "we take lizards just not that kind". It was extremely discouraging. I was about to drive my baby 1.5hr outside of the city when I found the Bronzeville Animal clinic which is only 15mins away from me. And bout am I happy I did! My little baby had been lethargic, not eating, laying around in the same spot (wouldn't move unless I physically moved her" for a little less than a month. I took her to the doc, she assessed Neo, gave me homework and Neo vitamins and food that we thought I'd have to force feed. Turns out my picky eater really loves the taste and happily gobbled it up. ONE day later, my baby is running around the cage, inquisitive, chasing things, energetic...omgsh I'm so happy I could cry!!!! I was so worried and she turned my baby around fast. Thank you soooo much!!!!

16 teeth out of my 11pound dog!

Brace yourself! I took Stone to the vet at 9:30am to get a dental cleaning and 3-5 teeth removed with an estimated fee of $250-350. Around 2pm I called to check on his status. I was told everything is good he would be ready at 5:45. I get a call from the vet saying she pulled 16 teeth and the bill is $677. WTF?!? WTH?!? Then wanted to keep him hostage, YES hostage, because Stone only had $350 in his backpack. THIS MOFO BOTCHED MY BABY! I AM HEATED! I'm still in shock. Who pulls that many teeth without consulting the pet parent? I would have NEVER approved this. YALL know my vegan A$$ would have boiled some plants and rubbed it on my BooBoos gums and teeth. I can't sleep or stop crying! She MESSED with the wrong one! I don't care when I WIN! #BotchedInBronzeville #HurtMyBaby #MommysBooBoo #MalteseMattery

Our kitten died unexpectedly. We brought our cat here to get an autopsy on about December 7th, 2020. The doctor verbally gave us the results but will it give us them in writing. We need them in writing because our cat had a genetic guarantee with the breeder. It is now January 16 and we still have no autopsy. Everytime I call the doctor is not in. Everytime we call there is some excuse why we don't have the autopsy report. I'm so disappointed and we want to have this issue resolved so we can hold the breeder accountable. I'm started to think that she is hiding something from us. We should not be treated like this when there are so many other vets in the area, we could've chosen. Losing our cat was traumatic in itself, but to be strung along like this by the vet adds insult to injury.

    Team Biden-Harris!!!

Despite being an inconsistent patient over the years, WLVC re-established us quickly and delivered incredibly attentive, compassionate, research-driven care during her final weeks, with an on-staff insurance specialist handling all the claims paperwork for reimbursement. I am so grateful for the patience, kindness, and professionalism of everyone who dealt with me while I was repeatedly an emotional mess in their office. I could not recommend this practice more.

I was extremely anxious and worried that whatever she ingested could seriously harm her. From the moment we arrived, the team was more than supportive. They saw her immediately, reassured us, and after scans confirmed she'd be okay, walked us through everything calmly and clearly. The staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely cared. They even fell in love with her, which helped ease my nerves. What truly set them apart was the post-visit care. During recovery, being able to email back and forth with the doctor including sending photos of anything questionable was a game changer. Responses were quick, thoughtful, and reassuring. We have a regular day-to-day vet, but this is now officially our puppy's ER/Urgent Care.

I understand that prices have gone up everywhere over the past few years, but the increases here feel significant. I recently found a 2021 receipt showing the exam fee was $65 and it's now $88. Nail trims are now an additional $19, which used to be included at some point, and my recent visit for an exam and routine vaccines totaled $300. Unfortunately, it's just no longer affordable for us, so we'll be looking elsewhere.

He is an extremely shy cat who curls up into himself out of fear. The vet and vet techs are always super gentle with him because of how fearful he is. I had him neutered at this location without issue, and the price was reasonable. I have also taken him in for anal gland expression and it was a quick tech visit, so only $32. They were able to get me in on a weekend. One thing I like in particular is that they have their own parking lot. It is small but most places around that location you have to find street parking. This clinic is also responsive via email, and has helped me order flea meds through Chewy. I will continue to bring my cat here and also consider having his teeth cleaned next year, because their prices are fair and their staff is friendly.

I already consulted our general vet and they mentioned it was due to the medication he was on that was making him this way. I just felt like something wasn't right and wanted to see another doctor just in case. I searched around online for the closest one to see if they would schedule us in on the same day but alot of places were not taking in any new patients. I called right when they opened and I believe I spoke with Dr. Beauchamp and explained what was going on with my boy. I was very grateful that she was able to squeeze me in on the same day. Dr. Beauchamp and their team provided such respect and care to my boy. They took a look at him and told me that he did not look well and was needed to be admitted to the hospital right away. Everything was explained to me very thoroughly and answered all the questions I had. Unfortunately, there was alot of complications going on with him that day and he didn't make it. I am extremely thankful that Dr. Beauchamp followed up with me via phone call to see how he was and did not charge me for our first visit. My refill ran out and they made me schedule an appointment. In the past my vetinarians had no problem giving me a few pills to hold my dog over until her appointment so she didn't wet herself. But this time they didn't do that. So I went to my appointment the very next day (less than 24 hours after my call) which was scheduled for 2:30pm, we got there early. At 2:46pm I asked the receptionist if they knew when someone would see us, they simply said no, without even trying to find out. At 2:53pm the Manager Manny came in to say someone would be with me shortly but it wasn't their fault because I was early, they somehow had me scheduled for 3pm even though I showed them my email confirmation for 2:30pm. I was finally seen after more than 30 minutes of waiting. After I spoke to the vet who did not seem to know my dogs medical records, they thought the scar on her leg was from an ACL surgery (which she never had), it was from cancer. They were over 30 minutes late and couldn't even read her medical records! Then the vet knocked a glass jar on the ground and tried to move us to another exam room before sweeping it up, I actually had to hask them to clean the broken glass on the floor before letting my dog walk through it. Then towards the end of the exam I noticed a sign on the wall obstructed by fake flowers and a dog treat jar that stated exams are recorded with video and AI is used to assist them, and if you want to opt out of the AI you had to let them know prior to your exam, but you can't read the warning until your exam has already started. When I asked for the video to be deleted the veterinarian said I should have said something before, when I pointed out the fact that I didn't know about the warning until the exam had already begun she got upset, raised her voice and said they'd delete it amd ahe stormed out of the exam room and slamed the door. I asked the incredibly rude manager Manny who I could reach out to about my experience, he sais it was a corporate owned facility. Like that was an excuse to be unprofessional and rude. I would never recommend this place! Edit: Village West Vet corporate tried to blame me in their response to my negative review. They were rude, unprofessional, unsafe and uninformed. They told me I couldn't receive my prescription until bloodwork was done. After I left I noticed I didn't have blood work paperwork, yet I had my prescription so I called back. They said it could take up to 48 hours to get the results, yet had no problem sending me home with a controlled substance which cost much more in their office than online through Chewy. If you don't won't to deal with a corporate owned vet with no feelings in the West Town area of Chicago, I recommend Ukrainian Village Veterinary Center, owned by Dr. Danylo Butenko, DVM, CVA, an independent vetinarian.
