I had the vegan hoagie with provolone cheese, and baby, the flavor was there. The vegan lunch meat, the toppings, the cheese everything came together so well. It was mouthwatering. My only regret is getting the 6-inch instead of the 12-inch because it was that good. Now, I did forget how tough a good hoagie can be to bite into, but honestly, that just made it feel even more real. The sandwich was fresh, filling, and worth every bite. The vibe inside was cool. I came in, they had some good music playing an alternative group from the '90s and I was greeted right away. The gentleman who took my order over the phone was pleasant, and the service felt welcoming. The price was decent, and there was parking when I went, but keep in mind I stopped by on a Tuesday after 4 p.m. The only thing I wish they had was more drink options besides soda, I wanted a water and there was none that I seen. Finally got to try this establishment. I was in the area getting a haircut and was very hungry. I researched nearby eateries and saw this was only a few block away from Sola Suites. Anyway, very clean shop. Service was friendly. I ended up ordering the Hoagie sampler which allows you to pick (3) different hoagies which are 4 inches. They wrap the hoagies individually and then place them in a container together. My hoagie also came with a small individual serving of chips. I ordered this with it in mind that I would give my husband one of the hoagies. Timing wasn't too long between order and the to-go being ready. I ate my first hoagie in the car on my ride back to the home. It wasn't messy and was deliciously seasoned with condiments. I believe it was the corn beef. Yum. We also enjoyed turkey ham and turkey hoagie. The bread was just right not too soft and not too tough. However it held up with the Italian seasoning applied to the fresh veggies. All-in all, enjoyed my hoagies. If in the area again, would try the Italian beef or one of the panini. I finally got to check out Bronzeville Hoagie and Panini and I have to say that I wasn't disappointed. Walking in there was so much character. They have a black and white wall full of the greatest!! There is a nice amount of space considering it's a smaller spot. There is seating available but it's limited. My personal favorite here is the Southside hoagie with corned beef--I crave it all the time! I've also tried the wagyu beef hot dog (it was okay) and the regular hoagie, but the Southside is the standout. The shop is always very clean, and I really like that you can watch them prepare your food right in front of you. The only downsides are that they sometimes sell out if you come too late, parking can be tricky since it's on a busy block, and you can't call in orders ahead of time. It does get crowded at times, but that just shows how popular it is. Overall, I'm glad this spot is in the neighborhood and I hope they continue to grow and have lots of success! read more

He told me it would take about ten minutes for my sandwich - it took a little more time but no problem. I had the chicken panini. All the sandwiches come with lays plain chips. My panini was just ok. There wasn't enough cheese to congeal the sandwich bread together to make it a proper panini. The chicken and peppers just slid through the bread which made it hard to eat. I've been wanting to try this place for awhile and we finally had some time between my son's football and swimming. We ended up getting the 35th Street, the corned beef panini and the chipotle chicken panini. They were all delicious. My wife says she wishes they would have mayo on the 35th. The corned beef panini tasted like it may have been a corned turkey product. The chicken panini was probably our favorite. It was seasoned well as had a little spice with a good smoky flavor. Each sandwich comes with chips which is nice. The interior is small with a few tables. While a few people ate there most were taking their orders to go. If you do choose to order from here make sure you have a little bit of bit of time. They make everything fresh and it will take a little time especially if they're busy. It's well worth the wait though. I love that they had the walls full of important black figures. They had Enny blasting on one TV and House party playing on the other. This is a cute sandwich shop in Bronzeville. The decor was a nice touch as it highlighted historical black figures. I ordered the salmon panini and a side of tuna. The panini was a great size with plenty of salmon. It was good, and I will try it again. The only issue was that one side of my bread was very burnt and I had to remove it. The other side was nice and buttery, so the panini press could just need to be scraped or something. The tuna was delicious, and it was made the way I like my tuna salad. I do think the onions should have been diced, but I like onions so it was fine for me. Also, they don't have cheddar cheese, and I kinda feel that's a standard cheese for a sandwich shop. I saw a vid on TikTok regarding this spot so today I decided 2 try them. Great choice. I found street parking a block east. Upon entering it appeared clean and inviting. Inside is black & white decor. The black and white photos of important historical African-Americans is a highlight. The nice lady greeted me and guest upon entering. I ended up returning for the salmon panini on my second visit--and it was definitely better than the turkey. The turkey panini was just okay. I've been twice now. I will say so far customer service has been good and pleasant. The sandwiches are focused on turkey based meat. I'm not sure they carry real beef sandwiches, it may be "turkey beef", but you'll need to confirm with them. I know they have no pork products. I ordered the Tiffs Italian special. I was mistaken in thinking it was like an Italian hoagie - it's actually made like an Italian beef sandwich, but, with shredded white turkey meat instead. This made it fairly dry to me. They do at least stuff it with turkey which was generous, but because it was dry I shared a lot of the meat with my dog. They do dip the sandwich so that helped with the bread being moist. Otherwise, I prefer my sandwich's the real deal; real pastrami instead of turkey based, real ham not "turkey ham", real beef for my Italian beef's, not shredded turkey, etc. so it's not the place for me.
