We ventured out on Black Friday to take advantage of bed sales. After a few failed attempts at other bedding and/or furniture stores, we made it to Brooklyn Bedding in northeast Scottsdale. We liked the basic layout of the place - efficient and organized. We were greeted by "sleep specialist" Ana V. who directed us to what we were looking for - the Signature line in a medium. She was helpful, not pushy, informed and listened to our needs. Within a short time, we ordered what we wanted - no hassle, no pressure for us to buy extra stuff (pillows, covers, etc.). It was in stock, so we were told we'd get an update in about 3 business days for delivery. By Tuesday, it was at our door - exactly what we ordered, in perfect condition. We love the new bed, and it's a great product for the value. We especially like that it was made just miles from our house! And our cats love the box! read more

i bought a helix mattress, i received it and it was torn in two places. i scheduled to have the old mattress removed and the new mattress set up at the same time as i had back surgery and cannot set it up. well they picked up old mattress and new mattress came about half hour later and said they can not send anyone to set it up!. don't buy from this company, they don't care about their customers. read more

My husband and I were in the market for a new mattress and stopped at Brooklyn Bedding since it's a local company that manufactures its beds in Phoenix. Brett greeted us in the store and seeing that we were both wearing face masks he offered to put one on. My husband is at high risk of severe COVID so we very much appreciated it. Brett was helpful, knowledgeable and not pushy. Wanting an eco-friendly and low VOC mattress we tested the Bloom and liked it. We shopped around and landed on the organic cotton Bloom. We are updating our review dated 2/29/2024 after sleeping on our Helix mattress for a full year. After waking up every morning with aches and pains in lower back, shoulders and hips there were days I felt crippled. This started occuring not long after owning it, I bought a new mattress pad, it wasn't any help. I went out of town for 8 days last month and no back or hip issues, I then realized it had to be our Helix Midnight Luxe mattress that was causing all of my issues. I tried reaching out to Viviana twice to see how we could improve things, even though we were out of the 100 day return period. I have to say, both times she never returned my calls. The second call was recently and Anna took all of my information and assured me Viviana would call back, which she never did. Two days ago we went to Mattress Firm right around the corner and found a Beautyrest Black Medium firm tight top, no pillow top, and it was excellant, best sleep I've had in a year, last night was night 2, no issues, again. The Helix we had slept more like a Firm mattress. For the $3,300 price for the King, I was very disappointed in the lack of post sale service we did not receive. BTW, the option Anna offered was to replace the foam comfort layer with the soft feel comfort layer with a cost after taxes and white glove shipping over $1,700. I took a hard pass and put that toward our new mattress and foundation. What a waste of money. Not sure why so many reviewers rave about this Helix mattress, of course it is all very personal. My recommendation is to NOT let the 100 days pass if you have any concerns or doubts, this was very costly for us. read more

All I can say is WOW!! This mattress store rocks! Brett was extremely helpful, no pressure, he listened to what I was looking for, asked a few questions then showed me a few mattresses based on my sleeping style and size. Then told me take as much time as I needed to check out each one out. I bought my mattress on a Friday, and in less then 24 hours later they had delivered it to my place! I've been sleeping on this mattress for over a month and I feel great!! No more aches and stiffness in my back when I wake up!!! I rarely review anything. This catastrophe warranted a poor review. I purchased a custom mattress on 1/31/22 from Brett and was informed that it would take several weeks to be made. The first available delivery date was 2/23/22. I knew that date would not work and made that clear upon purchase. I was given the impression that a delivery date for the following week was set into place. The 23rd arrived and I received a call from the delivery driver stating that they would be delivering that afternoon. I told them I wasn't available and they informed me to call the store to reschedule. I called immediately after and left a voicemail. I called again several times during the week with either no option to leave a voicemail or left a voicemail with no return call. On 3/1/22 I finally asked my partner to go to the store to physically confirm that our delivery was indeed slated for 3/2/22 as I work long hours and was not able to do so myself. Upon arrival he was unsympathetically told that since we didn't take delivery of the mattress on 2/23/22 that it was sold to someone else. The associate at the store, Matilla physically showed my partner the note regarding the voicemail she had left for Brett to call me. Bottom line is that we paid over $3k for a product that was given away with no warning. No one contacted us to refund or reschedule delivery. No one told us that if we didn't take delivery by the 2/23/22 that our mattress would be given away. We of course asked to be refunded. The product is great but the the customer service might be some of the worst I've encountered. They kept $3k of our money and made no effort to effectively delivery the product. In this day and age unfortunately, word of mouth and social media reviews speak very loudly. Do yourself a favor, skip the headache and buy from literally anywhere else. read more

We purchased the split king as my husband has restless leg syndrome and has been keeping me up at night for 20 years. I wanted the firm and he wanted medium. We both went with medium because we wanted them to be the same height. When we received them they didn't match up. We sent pictures to Al, who was extremely helpful and accommodating. He agreed one was defective and immediately made arrangements to send out a new one. In the meantime we decided the medium was too soft. So rather than just exchange the one they came out and removed both and replaced them with the firm. We could not be happier. We LOVE our new mattresses. They are so much more comfortable and way more affordable than the Tempur-Pedic we replaced. We highly recommend these mattresses. read more

I shopped at almost every mattress/furniture store in a 30 mile radius from my Scottsdale home and most, if not all, are pushy salesman. I told them right off the bat, I am looking for 2-king memory foam mattresses. Yes, 2 mattresses. Btw-Mattress firm sales people are the worst. All of them have sell tempurpedic mattresses which are $3,000 and up! Stop selling me on them! I need two kings and I can't afford 6-8k for 2 mattresses. Anyway, I went to Brooklyn bedding and Ana Velazquez was very knowledgeable and not pushy at ALL. They have the Astor memory foam mattress that feels just like the 3-4K tempurpedic ones and are less than 1/2 the price! I haven't gotten it yet, as I ordered just a bit ago, but I wanted to say Ana Velazquez is a huge asset to their company and I am so glad I went with Brooklyn Bedding. Plus, who would buy a mattress without lying on it first? Mattress Frim has alot on their website and I wanted to lie down on a sealy memory foam but they don't have inside the stores. My original review was 5 stars and was how we felt having made our purchase. Now that 5 star review has dropped to 1 star. We love the bed. That has not changed. The customer service that we have received now that we have a problem has soured us on the company. I contacted the store where we made the purchase to advise that there was a problem with the USB port on the side of the base. It was not working and the metal plate on the side of the base had gotten very hot. As this was a safety issue, I assumed that Brooklyn Bedding would stand behind their product and correct the issue. Their response was just the opposite. They told me that I would have to contact the manufacturer of the base to have them set up a warranty inspection. They told me it would be my job to make the calls and set it up. I wanted to speak to a supervisor or manager but was told I could not have that information. I attempted to speak to someone in corporate and was also unable to. My attempts to reach the manufacturer did not go well. I finally received a call from the manufacturer, W Silver, today. They said that matter had been poorly handled and they would make sure the problem was corrected. I made the purchase from Brooklyn Bedding, not W Silver. I finally convinced my husband that I "needed" a king bed. Pregnancy and him having to sleep on 1/4 of a queen bed while I hogged the rest due to turning from side to side, heat and simple size alone caused him to be back on board (he wasn't going to do that ever again!) :) Anyway, we went to a few mattress stores and were at the mattress firm in the same complex (about to plunk down $2k for a serta pillow top with $69 delivery) and saw this place. Inside: not glam, you lay on mattresses in plastic and it isn't pretty or decorated etc. That being said; we walked out with a king serta pillow top with mis-matched box spring (delivered free since we live nearby) for $600....un-real steal :) If you don't care what your boxspring looks like or if you have the most recent edition of mattress, then this is your place. Absolutely obsessed with Brooklyn Bedding! I bought a queen size mattress almost 2 years ago and fell in love with it. It still feels brand new. I also recently just went back to purchase another mattress because I wanted to upgrade to a king and the customer service was top of the line. Brett & Dave are both fantastic! Equally knowledgeable about the products and really listen to what you are looking for in a mattress. Today I walked into R & S Mattress and was greeted warmly. We were looking for a king mattress (firm), and had about a $2000 budget. Our salesperson, Dave, quickly directed us to the perfect mattress. He pulled down another mattress for comparison, and we decided on the first. He was knowledgable and we quickly bought the mattress. Surprisingly, he offered to have the mattress delivered that afternoon, which was a huge help to us. He even offered to deliver it himself on the way home. This is truly neighborly service! In less than an hour, the delivery fellow was at our door, efficiently set up our new mattress, hauled our old stuff away, and it was all done, from start to finish (going to the store to lying on the bed) in less than 2 hours!! I highly recommend this humble little store. Brooklyn Bedding Worst customer service ever. my parents got a bed from them after tuft and needle changed their formula. They were super happy. I was going to buy that as my next bed. They got free pillows and I ordered another online for my sister because we loved those two so much. The new one was half the depth and thickness of the two we had received. After multiple back-and-forth with customer service because they wanted to send her foam for her to fix a pillow that should have been right in the first place, I finally insisted they send her a new pillow. Well the new pillow was the same as the last one and we couldn't understand how the thickness could change so much. I said OK you can go ahead and send us the extra foam they had offered in the first place but I didn't want us to have to fix a pillow that should've been different. Now they won't even send the form saying "we're spending too much money on you". I had recommended so many people to check them out. Never again. read more

We've had two bad bed buying experiences in the last few years. Over $4,000 in and we're in the market again for another King bed. I won't be tacky and name names but these well known stores beds did not stand up to all the hype the salesman promised. We've been sleeping in two sunken pits. Okay, I'm venting, but I feel better now. So....my husband and I are going shopping at Northsight - Loop 101 plaza in Scottsdale and we drive by the R & S mattress store. We flip a B and stop in and are so thankful we did. David was very knowledgeable and a genuinely nice guy. He took the time to listen to our sad past experiences. He said he hears the same thing over and over again from his customers. Dave laid out many beds for us to try. He explained what each bed was made of and the difference between the models. These beds are made right here in the Valley. Needless to say, we took the plunge and purchased a King bed. It was actually delivered the very next day. They even hauled away our old bed. I have been waiting to review my mattress to make sure it was good. It is, so time to review. I got the Mercer Kind bed. I had gone to two other stores and it was like the Goldilocks story. One was too soft, the other too hard and this one was "just right"! I bought it on the spot. They even hauled away my old mattress (which was not that old, but cheap and uncomfortable). I am definitely sleeping better on this mattress. It is kind of firm but molds to your body. I sleep in all positions and the beds that were too soft and too hard, were going to hurt my back when I slept on my stomach. This one was perfect. Brett, was great too! read more

Wow. I'm so impressed by the service I received from Dave today at the Raintree R&S Mattress. I had to do a comfort exchange (really challenging back problems make finding the right mattress tough). Dave was patient, positive, and seemed to really care about helping me find the right one. He did not push me toward one type of mattress (when did that ever happen?!), but rather pulled out several of varying types for me to try. I settled on Then, to make the experience even better, he had the mattress delivered 90 minutes later to my home! As a post script, I laid down on my new mattress this evening and had to force myself to get up to get my daughter ready for bed. It seems to be deliciously comfortable. Stopped in this store looking for a king size bed to replace my 6 year old Serta. David was very personable and steered us toward their own brand Brooklyn bedding. We settled on the Manhattan super soft. After two weeks of uncomfortable sleeping we returned it under the 60 night comfort guarantee and David was very good about us doing this however he told us we could only return for the same brand, Brooklyn. Had we known this before buying we would not have bought at this store as it really limited our choices. We did upgrade and bought the Liberty latex as we were unable to buy a Serta. Now in all fairness I have some health issues that make mattress buying a challenge. But, in my opinion, the Brooklyn line is a lower end mattress even though we spent $1800. I found the Liberty latex quite uncomfortable and it's going in the guest room and I am back on my 6 year old Serta. Mattress. Comfort is very individual so what's uncomfortable for me may not be for you. My main reason for writing this review is to alert you to the fact that the comfort guarantee is limited to the brand you buy we were going to buy one of the i comforts they sell to replace the first mattress but couldn't. read more

I bought 2 beds from Dave, a king and a queen. The queen bed was very comfortable, however, the king was too soft. Dave told me, "If you are not happy within 30 days, call me and I'll take care you of." Well, sure enough, I called within that time and went back over to R&S. Dave was able to work with me to find another mattress. His crew delivered it within a few days and took back the original mattress. I am very happy with the new mattress! The service I received from Dave was superb. After choosing my mattress, originally the estimated delivery date was 5 days later. I was a little bummed but understood and was willing to wait. We've had bad experiences with our last two pillow top mattresses (purchased elsewhere) and were determined not to go down that road again. After a bad experience with a mattress purchased at Arizona Premium Mattress (which I've also reviewed on Yelp), I stopped by this store. Since I'm very sensitive to almost all odors, I needed to find a comfortable mattress without an odor. We found one in the store's inventory that was comfortable for me, but it did have a minor odor after removing the plastic wrapper. I asked David, the salesperson, if he'd be willing to leave the wrapper off to let it air out for a few weeks. He agreed. When I returned to check it out, it was virtually odor free, so I bought it.
