Company customer service is extremely poor, with no response to multiple follow- ups to my filling out their somewhat ridiculous claim form. These are cheap mattresses, so while my objective was to have a mattress that wasn't too heavy to move myself, this has proved to be $800+ that was good for one year. I visited this showroom a few weeks ago to try out their mattress. I like their setup, they've got several pre-made beds that you can lie down on and they rearrange them after. I was greeted by Ann(e) in a welcoming manner and she was there to answer any questions I had. But basically she let me take my time and experience the mattress on my own. I say mattress (singular) because Tuft & Needle only has one type of firmness in the sizes of twin, full, queen, and king. I also got a free tshirt, always a good perk. I knew I wanted to support them as they are a local business and I've only heard positive things about them, especially from those who have their mattresses. I bought my mattress online a week or so later and it arrived within a few days. I was impressed with the emails that tracked my shipment and the helpful setup tips, which of course I didn't read thoroughly and made it harder on myself. Haha. Anyways, I've been using the mattress for a few weeks now and it's been an adjustment from my former pillow top which was a lot softer. However, I do appreciate the firmness (not too firm) and I haven't had any issues sleeping so I'm satisfied. They do offer 100 days free trial and you can get a refund if you don't like it, just donate the mattress. But I'm anticipating to pass this mark and enjoy my new mattress for many years. read more

At first it was great, supportive but as it usually happens with cheap things it didn't last. I have been tested for kidney infections because the pain is so bad and it doesn't matter what part of my body I sleep on. I never noticed that they don't let their customers review the mattress after they send the first review survey but there is probably a reason you get it so quickly after purchase. I love Tuft and Needle products, have had their mattress and bed frame for a while now. I wanted to up my collection and get a solid bed set. I was getting a down duvet and a sheet set. She rings up what I want on the ipad and gives me the total which was more than I was expecting. I sat there, thought about it, and finally decided I was going to pull the trigger. As I'm picking out the colors she tells me she rang me up for the incorrect duvet and the new total was $200 more. After hearing this I walked out of the store. Just brutal to go through that experience as a consumer when you finally decide to purchase a product that is pushing your budget and then to be told they made a mistake and it's way more expensive than originally told. I returned our Tuft & Needle mattress and I'm giving them 5 stars? One of our friends recommended Tuft & Needle and I figured we were due for new mattresses. Buying a mattress can be intimidating with all the choices. Tuft & Needle made it easy with essentially one mattress style (before the Mint mattress was announced) at a fair price. We could walk into the storeroom and leisurely try out the mattresses without a salesperson hovering over us. I spent a lot of each day curled up in my mattress (perks for working from home). It was the most comfortable place in the house. My teenage daughter would not give me a 5 star review for buying her gifts. This one mattress purchase pulled my average up a lot. But alas ... my wife was having weird breathing issues whenever she slept on either T&N mattress. It's still an ongoing investigation (any one have a good allergist?) but the mattresses were one of the culprits (catalyst?) We talked to the T&N and even though we had the mattress 10 months, they would give us a full refund for both mattresses. We just had to donate them to a non-profit. T&F gave us a couple places that took used mattresses and it was easier than returning things to Amazon. Great (and generous) customer service. As someone who has dealt with back pain for a few years, I never would have thought my mattress was the root cause of it! Now, everyone is different so T&N may not be right for you but for me, this mattress is the answer to all my back pain problems. I even recently went out of town and stayed at a hotel and came home with a sore back. One night of sleeping on my T&N mattress, boom!, back pain gone. The mattress comes in a box and looks like it will never be big enough to sleep on but once you unwrap it, it quickly expands. Another bonus of this mattress is that it does not sink in where you often sleep and stays true to its form! My side also does not move when my husband gets up/ vice versa. I was the first one to sleep on it, and I absolutely loved it !!! scale from 1 to 10 it was a solid 10. He got the original one and I loved it's firmness!! The employees were so nice I was able to try out two different mattresses the original and the mint. Personally I prefer the original mattress the mint is the newest one it is super comfy but very soft like sink in soft, it does have a bit of a firmness to it but it just wasn't my style. When I first got the mattress, I thought it was comfortable, but I did not sleep well. My should hurt, and I was having lower back pain. My daughter urged me to try it out for at least 2 weeks. I did, and still no relief. I contacted their Customer Relations, and they suggested a mattress topper. I decided to try it, and what a difference it made. I like easy, and this was easy. I stopped by the Scottsdale showroom and they had little"bedrooms" set up for guests to test drive the mattresses. I rolled around on the bed for maybe 5 minutes and decided to get one. Everyone else in the "bedrooms" decided to get one too. Four people wanting to order and maybe 3 people to help. I thought, oh well, I guess I could order online. I headed to the door and asked the guy that was checking in, about ordering later and he said he could do my order for me now. In about 10 minutes he had my order, payment, and I was done before any of the others had hardly even begun to place their orders. As for delivery, I got it free the next day because I live fairly close. The day before my large trash day, I pulled my king size mattress down the stairs, out my door and to the curb. Pulled the new mattress out of the box, unrolled it and cut the packaging open just like in the video and "foof", it puffed up immediately! Slept on it one hour later and it was wonderful! Definitely stop by a showroom if you can, the sales people are friendly and very helpful, but even if you can't, it's hard to beat the ease of ordering and the comfort of a Tuft & Needle mattress! read more

I was so excited to go and try the mattresses out here. I ha e read and heard so many reviews from the grand Ave location I just had to get it out. The Grand Ave room you get a private room and some time to lay down rest the bed out as long as you need. So walking into the Scottsdale location it was more modern and the beds weren't private but still ok kinda sectioned off into 4 areas. We were greeted right away when we walked in and got singed in. They did have water and tea to sip on while you wait for others to finish up testing the beds out. Now testing the bed out I was kinda disappointed. I felt like I was laying on something that was made so cheap possibly because of how light it was?! Or maybe I am spoiled with my current memory foam bed. I'm still not sure. I felt like I was laying literally A display bed that was meant for something other than a person. It's a great deal for the mattress but I don't think it was just my cup of tea. I could definitely find another bed better and for the same price as a queen of $600. It's almost like that hip cool starter bed like the starter furniture at IKEA. 3 star for the lady greeting us with a smile and making a great first impression! read more

Really like this company and location. The sales staff left us alone till we had questions and they're friendly and low-pressure. We saw them changing sheets and pillowcases after the last customer which is awesome. Other mattress stores don't have sheets and pillowcases which means sharing a pillow surface with a lot of other strangers...which is gross. The showroom is great, and it's a very relaxed and friendly place to try out their mattress. Their mattresses are changed out every month so you get a good feel for what a "new" one is like once you open it up at home. I'm not sure that their mattress is the right firmness for us but there's nothing about the company or the quality that's keeping me away. This was a very awkward experience for me. When I walked in, the salesman with the long blonde curly hair half ass approached me. I told him I was interested in purchasing one of their beds. All he said was they have two different kinds and I can lay on them if I want. He didn't explain the difference between the two, which one was better, nothing. I felt as if I was bothering him. I sat at one for a split second and decided to leave. I ended up going to Pruitts and had great help and purchased a mattress. It's not like Tuft has to sell from their store. The point of your showroom is to tell us about your mattresses and convince us to buy one. read more

I had a friend that researched a lot for the right mattress for him and his wife and he recommended that I try the Tuft and Needle. I did. The delivery was prompt and the setup/unboxing was easy. I was excited to try it for my first night sleep. I did not sleep well. I tried it another night and my sleep was worse the next night. I gave it one more night and I had the same result. I contacted Tuft and Needle and they were quick to respond, very friendly and professional. When they advertise that you can return it with no strings attached, they mean it. T&N was very easy to work with and they were very accommodating. I cannot say enough good things about the return process. I wish every company was half as good as they were. The mattress is amazing. It's the BEST $600 I've spent. It could be due to the fact that I'm so used to sleeping on really bad, cheap mattresses, however, i really do feel the difference on my back. I currently have a bad back because of soccer, so my injury has taken a toll on my sleep. This mattress is extremely comfortable and you sink right in perfectly. I feel like it adjusts to my body and even sleeping with my boyfriend it doesn't feel like it's wearing down. After 7 years it was time for a new mattresses and we went everywhere the dump, Sleep America, Sleep number in the mall and I don't think its logical or even good money management to pay 5k for something your going to sleep on 6 to 8 hours a night. Also they were not great to test out. I read about T&N in the Phoenix New Times and they are pretty savage when it comes to reviews. They fly under the banner of I don't give a shit I'm going to write what I think. So we drive up to Scottsdale and found the store and they were very polite which bugged the shit out of me because Jesus, how nice do you have to be. But they were true and the business was brisk in the store. We had our two children and my son whom wants to know everything about well anything asked everything about the product we were buying. I laid down on it and it flipped on the right side because that is the hip that give me a little trouble and it didn't hurt in fact it was pretty nice. How much? $750 sold, so my wife made the purchase and came over and said they are a month behind. I don't care lets get it. I can tough it out on our old one for a month. She gets this call from Amazon on the way home, Ok yes, that's fine and hangs up and I don't give it too much thought. I get home and its on the doorstep. Hell yes! I say and my wife smiles, yeah she got me. So the old one gets pulled out and I heard that after 7 years the mattress is twice as heavy because of all the dead skin that been ground into the fabric. Let that sit in your head about about the eco-system your sleeping on and feeding all the skin mites. We pull it out of the box and its shrink wrapped like Dexter works for T&N its air tight and very compact. We put it on the box springs, (T&N does not sell box springs so don't throw your old ones out unless you want to) and open it with scissors and poof it grows to the size of our kingsize bed cool. But then there is a chemical smell that is coming from it. Its like the new car smell but more industrial. We were told this and within a few hours it was mild. First night: It was like sleeping in an alleyway which is 6 blocks away from the chemical plant. Very hard and yeah keep the overhead fan on. Second night: Passing out in front of old main at your university or the local cemetery because you don't want to walk the 4 blocks to get around it. (true story) 3 Miles from the chemical plant and your sleeping in the grass. Third night: A very new firm mattress I worked 12 hours so I could have slept on the carpet next to my dog Flynn and not noticed. Fourth night: Very nice soft bed no chemical smell at all. Fifth night: Perfect I found the mattresses cover for it and with 7,100 reviews I think its a good gamble that I'll be happy with it. We went to a bunch of different mattress stores today, and not only was the Mint Mattress better than any other we tried, but the sales experience was so low pressure in comparison. They have two mattress models for you to try. They introduce you to the mattress and then leave you alone to let the mattress do the selling. There's a person in the center of the room ready and happy to answer any questions you have. The prices are incomparable. And both the men's and women's restrooms not only had changing stations, they also provided wipes and pampers of different sizes. I'm used to men's restrooms not even having a changing station. This was a pleasant and charming touch. It's just a showroom so you'll have to keep in mind that there aren't mattresses there to be delivered. What a great company and perfect mattress! I did a ton of research (maybe too much) and decided to check this company out after dealing with another store and their car salesmen-like staff. Thankfully they had a local store I could go to and lay on the mattress before buying it (unlike so many other mattress-in-a-box companies). The moment I walked in, I was greeted immediately by a smiling face and was told that I could lay on the bed and check things out with no pressure from the "sales people" (I put it in quotes because they weren't pushy like most sales people, likely because they do not work on commission) and when I was ready, they were there to answer any questions I had. Since I had done so much research, I already knew all about the mattress, but the person I spoke to still answered all my questions and made the process so simple. I decided to purchase right there and it was delivered a few hours later so I could get a restful night's sleep immediately! Of course, if the company was great but the mattress was not then it wouldn't be a 5 star experience. I never believed that my back pain would disappear the very first night but that's exactly what happened. It's been a couple weeks now and I've noticed I roll around so much less than I used to and I sleep through the night without waking up constantly like I did on my old mattress. The price was also very reasonable and hundreds cheaper to the others I was considering. Overall, I totally recommend this company and this mattress with every inch of my much more relaxed body!! Checked in and were offered ice water and tea during the wait. We were able to check out the showroom and "test" out the mattress- or in our case, our five year old proceeded to climb and bounce all over it. It was toddler and husband approved.
