Exceptional Store I've been shopping there for many years excellent products and very nice people

RED FLAG!!!! I purchased a Malouf Ascend mattress from Sacktime and it has been one of the worst purchases I've made. The mattress is extremely uncomfortable and has caused me significant sleep issues and physical discomfort. To make matters worse, the mattress arrived without a legally required law tag, which raises serious questions about quality control and compliance. When I contacted the retailer, they refused to offer any support, citing a strict no-return policy. Their customer service was dismissive and unhelpful -- a problem many other reviewers seem to have experienced as well. I attempted to dispute the charge through American Express, but was denied because of the retailer's policy. So now I'm stuck with a mattress I can't sleep on, no way to return it, and no accountability from the seller. I reached out to Malouf directly, hoping they would stand behind their product and help me -- especially considering the mattress came without a tag and the retailer is damaging their reputation. I'm still waiting for a meaningful response. I strongly caution other customers to research both the retailer and the product before making a purchase. It's unfortunate that what should have been a trustworthy investment in better sleep has turned into a costly and frustrating experience. read more

This is the only store to purchase a mattress if you care about quality, service, kindness, and as one other reviewer mentioned, not feeling like you're pressured into having to buy a mattress, but instead helpfulness and guiding you through the process to give you the best outcome. We purchased a new mattress about a year ago with incredible help from Tahnee. She was very patient and knowledgeable, and she came up with a quick solution to solve our new bedding and mattress requirements! Her service was absolutely great! Fast forward to today when we somehow had misplaced or lost our remote control unit that moves the head and foot of the bed up and down. We called Tahnee and she quickly sent over Nick and Hudson and these great young men located the remote everything is perfect once again! I can't even give them any stars. Not even a rotten tomato would do in this case. They are EPHN liars to the tenth degree. They sell products that they can't deliver then they try to give you a store credit. They also sell inferior merchandise then try to blame you as the consumer for their lack of communication & below poor quality merchandise. If this is how they treat their so called friends. I can just imagine how the general public will be treated. STAY CLEAR OF THESE EPHN SCHISTERS! You claim that you sent over a team to inspect the bed frame I was FORCED to buy after you informed me the one I paid for was discontinued. As far as me ripping up a supposed check. Again BULL€HIT!!! So one thing I know for sure is I know nothing about mattresses. Thank God for places like Sack Time. I made the mistake of ordering one of those "online" mattresses in a box. You know the one that you open the box and it explodes like a Seal Team Six Raft. If you think that's impressive wait until you try to return it. Yeah guess what doesn't go back in the box? So that brings me to my visit to Sack Time. I went to several stores in the Scottsdale area (even one across the street) which were all lousy experiences. Then I stumbled across this little family owned gem. The girl who helped me was friendly, patient, and extremely knowledgeable about mattresses. She helped me pick out the perfect mattress for my back and I am sleeping better than ever now. I love supporting locally owned businesses but I love it even more when they really help me solve a problem, and that's exactly what they did. A mattress is literally an investment in your health. 5 star store and 5 star service. I visited their store on 71st Pl in Scottsdale. It seems every potential mattress a person could want is in that store. The customer service was friendly and fair. This is the second mattress we purchased there. I dealt with Tahnee this time. She spent all the time I needed to make the right choice.. The price was fair, the delivery was included and, if I wanted them to, they would have taken our current bed on the way out to donate to a shelter. We already had someone interested in our old bed, though. A complete package kind of store. Tahnee helped us pick the perfect mattress. I have already "road tested" it, lol. Very comfortable. I bought a trundle bed from Sack Time a year ago. We paid to have it installed by them. Obviously, the idea of a trundle is one bed on top of the other. The first time we went to actually use the trundle and pull out the bottom bed, the top bed fell down. My 19 year-old son was on the floor right in front of me. I called to tell them about it. They sent out two young men out to look at the bed, not wearing masks. I had to leave for work when they arrived, so the same 19 year-old and my 17 year-old stayed with the men. They didn't see a reason it would be broken--no screws missing, frame was fine, etc. I called to find out what was going on and Tahnee called me back with a rude message. She scolded me because I told her we bought the bed several months ago and it was a year ago. I didn't remember, honestly. She had to go find the records for my bed, which I guess was a task. She said we must have jumped on the bed, that's why it is broken. I couldn't believe my ears so I went in the store to try to remedy this. When I went in the store, Tahnee was the only person in the store. I told her who I was and I was here to talk about the bed. She said she called me already. Again, I couldn't believe my ears. I tried to explain you can see they installed the bed upside down. The tag is on the wrong side! She repeated that it must have been my "child" who jumped on it. She is pregnant so I asked her if she already has kids because they are not all irresponsible children running around the house jumping on beds and she obviously thinks. It was like an out of body experience. I have never had such a rude person in customer service. I told her I was going to write a review since I could not get ANY assistance with remedying this situation. She said, "I'll just write something back about you". I'm sure their business has been hurt by the pandemic, but they should do a better job trying to keep the customers they have. Also, here's pictures of your staff coming into my house WITHOUT masks, unlike you stated. I think you can see the proof is in the pictures. If you read all of your negative reviews, you show such hatred. I really think you should let the rest of your family run your business. read more

If I could give more stars I would. From beginning to end I could not be more pleased with Sack Time. The customer service, selection, delivery and the first night of sleep in my newest mattress was outstanding. I say newest mattress because we actually had to switch out the mattress a couple times, which they did for FREE. This was my very first mattress purchase after sleeping on one that was given to me 15 years ago. I had done a lot of research on mattresses and even went to several mattress stores to pick one out. There is so much advertising on the internet that I could not trust what I was reading. Going into Sack Time was a completely different experience. I didn't feel like I was stepping into a used car lot like I did when I went into mattress firm. Tahnee was super patient with me and I felt more like I was receiving a consultation rather than trying to be sold something. I could tell she genuinely cared about getting me into the right mattress. And when I wanted to switch out the mattresses she never once made me feel bad about it. Usually they give people a few hours window for delivery but because I work during the week and delivery to my new condo was a nightmare (not allowing me to get deliveries on Sundays and having to reserve an elevator), they actually accommodated me by giving an exact time. The two guys who does all their deliveries are excellent. On time and super quick. Poor guys had to come back three times but they were always gracious about it. I ended up with the Chattam & Wells Euro-top mattress after going through the Goldilocks story of too soft then too hard. I'm so happy with my purchase. It was definitely more than what I wanted to spend but it's an investment in myself having a great night sleep for the next 20yrs. This was my first time visiting Sack Time Mattress. We were looking for a new mattress for a twin bed. I drove by the Scottsdale location at 10640 N 71st Pl. by chance. So I thought I would check it out. I walked in and spoke with Ziva, the owner. She could not have been nicer. This IS the way to run a business. Her customer service and commitment to my satisfaction was second to none. From the beginning to the end, she came through with everything she promised. You can't know these things until sometime after any kind of purchase. The first mattress I had delivered by Sack Time Mattress didn't quite work out, but I was told if I wasn't satisfied, I could exchange it. Ziva suggested I try a different mattress, which was more appropriate for my needs and told me I could either bring the first mattress back and drive away with the new one or, for $30, she would deliver the second mattress and pick up the first mattress. The first delivery was free of charge AND Ziva had the delivery guys take the old bed frame. The delivery guys were professional, polite and efficient. I brought the first mattress back on my own and picked up the new one. Ziva told me if the replacement was too firm, they had a cushion top for a nominal fee. She was right, a beautiful mattress, but a little firm (My bad, I picked it out). I bought the cushion top cover and am here to tell you I am thrilled with the purchase. Ziva and Tahnee, Ziva's daughter, could not have been more true to their word. From customer service to product to delivery, they were genuine, honest and I could not have been more satisfied. Last July we bought a new mattress/box spring from Sack Time and could not be more pleased with it. Tahnee showed us several mattresses (they have a huge showroom) and we actually tried them and ended up purchasing an Aireloom mattress that we both like. Delivery was quick and very professional and they took our old mattress which itself was less than 2 years old. The Aireloom is literally the best sleep we've ever had. When it's time to buy another mattress, this is the place that we'll go to. Both Ziva and Tahnee are very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions to our satisfaction which is rare. These owners are not Jewish. Sack time use to be owned by a Jewish family, but they sold out many years ago. I, too, purchased a mattress recently at Sack Time. I went there as I had purchased one there many years ago. These people are not the same owners nor do they practice the same business ethics as the previous owners. I like my mattress but found that they are not transparent, ethical or truthful. When questioned, they fabricate the conversation to their liking or apologize for their wrong doing, but won't do anything about it. Run fast and run far. These are not the people with whom you want to do business. FYI...all those positive reviews under Sack Time are censored..You cannot write a review at their web site. I don't not know how to remove this review written in anger and disappointment. This was the second mattress I purchased at Sack Time and like the first one...which was a Sterns and Foster..I love it. I had an unfortunate dealing and will NOT tell you to not go to Sack Time. However, I caution you...know what you want and how much it should cost, ask questions about the cost of each item and if you purchase, tell them they must tell their delivery men to put on booties. Their men tracked considerable dirt onto my newly cleaned white carpet. Extremely unprofessional customer service & poor business ethics. I bought a mattress at Sack Time and had problems from the administration/sales to the delivery. They did not send me the mattress I ordered. Instead they sent me a very uncomfortable mattress. When I brought it to their attention I was told due to COVID they can't take the mattress back. Really? You make a mistake and I have to deal with it? How is this good customer service? I have tried working with them, instead I was in the midst of a screaming match between the owner and an employee when I revisited the store to inform them of my issue. Then once on the phone I was called a liar and screamed at. I believe this is a tactic to deflect and intimidate. When you pay thousands of dollars for a mattress you should be comfortable. BEWARE! DO NOT BUY A MATTRESS FROM THIS STORE!! They are vindictive, dishonest swindlers. I came into the store one evening looking for a mattress.  Unfortunately, it was difficult testing them with heavy plastic on all the floor models.  Ziva spent an hour with me, I appreciated it and unfortunately, I trusted her.  She said the model I was buying was top of the line Beautyrest and use in suites in Westin hotels, justifying the high price.  I went ahead and gave them my credit card but asked if I see a better price you will match it right?   She said 'Sure but you will not find a better price.' There was no verbal disclosure that all sales are final and non-refundable at the time of purchase. There is tiny print on the receipt, that is all. All other stores offer a trial and money back guarantee as it is a mattress, unfortunately, I assumed this store would. As soon as I got home, I googled the same mattress and found the MSRP was $1000 less!! The next day I told Ziva what I had found online, and she said I must be looking at the wrong model.  Tahnee left a message with me it was Beautyrest L-class level 2.  I called the manufacturer and there is no such thing. I called back the store and told them I DID NOT WANT THAT BED!  It was NOT what I was told it was. Tahnee called back screaming and accusing me of someone who went around stores wanting free trials (seriously??!) and I repeated that I did not want the bed and felt dishonestly treated. They refused and DELIVERED THE BED ANYWAY AND THREATENED TO JUST LEAVE IT IN MY DRIVEWAY and refused to cancel the sale with an email full of BS. Please see other reviews and complaints on BBB which confirms their dishonesty, trying to change the conversation, and responding to emails and statements with plain lies.  I am not the first to experience this behavior from this merchant.  So just heed my warning - go elsewhere and confirm the store's policies prior to purchasing a mattress. BTW- this is my legal name and legal initial as shown on the credit card you overcharged on Nov 30, 2020. This is the third bed I have purchased from Sack Time since 2011. I have been completely satisfied with the service . I have had delivery 24 hours after placing an order . Tawnee has always offered me a pillow as well as a mattress pad. I can not say enough wonderful things about Tawnee and her family. They totally rearranged my bedroom furniture in the assisted living group home I now call home so that a double adjustable bed could fit in the room. They are professional and knowledgeable and will help guide you to the best bed for your individual needs. We purchased a king mattress from Sack Time Mattress just over a year ago. We are still very happy with our purchase and are planning to get a Queen mattress for our guest room very soon. When we purchased our mattress we were told that they would come out to turn the mattress after 1 year. So recently, I called Sack Time Mattress to schedule an appt. and they drove about 40 miles to our home and turned our mattress for FREE! In my book that is excellent customer service. Absolutely atrocious company. An issue with a mattress took a month to just send an inspector who wrongly assessed the mattress to be faulty when it was in fact the base. (We didn't know at the time) This caused the store to offer a new custom mattress which we accepted. We were specific in our needs and were assured wholeheartedly that the mattress that was to be built would be as soft and supple as the one we returned. This was not the case at all. In fact they gave us a mattress that was too high and as firm a firm can be. They took it back and remade it and it returned to us the right height but still as hard as a mattress can get. They since realized the base of the bed was the noise issue and replaced that but have left my wife with a mattress that disallows her to sleep! And it was an extremely expensive mattress to boot! They don't care because they are not forced to sleep on it and have refused to fix the issue. Have a problem...guess what you're on your own where Sacktime is concerned. They make huge promises, set huge expectations and deliver on none of them! The owner's wife Ziva tried to claim our mattress was "super soft" at our home. Just lies to your face ! I slept on the mattress myself and can say it was the worst most sleepless and painful experience for a $4000 mattress. Stay away! We will file a law suit shortly and consumer complaint. read more

We have now bought three mattresses from Sack Time and could be happier with all of the purchases. The folks there are knowledge and use that knowledge to explain the ins-and-outs of bedding. This knowledge included suggesting daybeds for a small bedroom that would double as my office. They seem to have so many options that they seem to be able to deliver on almost any budget and never pressure you. December 2017 I wrote a great review on this guys.. Few months ago I started to feel something was wrong with the mattress but I couldn't go and complain after almost a year!! Eventually I stop by and told about the problem I have with my mattress. A day later two professionals came to check the mattress and they found that something as wrong. Dishonest- no refunds- you better like your purchase or exchange it for one you like within seven days. Once you spend your money here you'll never get it back. Why do business with a company that won't offer you a refund. Besides they're very overpriced for off brand mattresses. I'll tell you one thing and have you sign something completely different. I'm just going to emphasize I've talked to several other people in the area who have experienced similar problems & there are so many other options where to buy a mattress - so check those out. After a yr I've continued to have ongoing problems & lack of sleep bc of this so called super high end mattress. It's a joke & I don't find them ethical at all. Not to mention how much I kept having to pay for what they did to "make it right"!! Certainly wasn't worth the $$!! There r so many divets in the mattress u could sink. I have had a horrible experience with Sack Time and I do NOT recommend buying a mattress from this store. All sales are final which they deceptively do not point out on the receipt as they verbally told me I could return the mattress if it did not work out. The first mattress I bought they did let me return and I got another mattress but when the second mattress did not work for me then they told me all sales are final and they would not accept a return. I am now in chronic pain everyday and out $4000. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! Sack Time Mattresses -- 09/18/2018 I write this critique about Sack Time Mattresses on 71st Place in Scottsdale -- purposely on the afternoon of the eve of the Jewish holiest day of the year called Yom Kippur. It is the Day of Atonement for people who follow the Jewish faith -- atonement for their sins that occurred throughout the past year. Tahnee, the owners' daughter, and manager of the store on 71st Place in Scottsdale told me, in order to entice me to buy a mattress at their store, that her family is Jewish and very religious -- strongly involved in their faith. But you see, people of any faith -- if they are really religious people are also charitable, helpful and caring people. They try and help their customers - not screw their customers out of money, especially customers that may have a greater disadvantage than most, since it was very obvious the customer they screwed (me) has several serious medical problems that I am dealing with on a daily basis. Doesn't a decent, self-proclaimed religious person try and help an unsatisfied customer - and not just take their money and run with it? People who do those kinds of bad things to innocent people are actually referred to as "goniffs," easily translatable to an exact meaning of the word, "THIEF." On March 27, 2018, when I walked into Sack Time with excruciating bursa/hip pain wearing my oxygen (that I use on a daily basis for survival now) to try and make a buying decision for a comfortable-for-my-situation mattress, I turned to Tahnee for help to select the proper mattress for my medical issues that would work best for me. She had me convinced that she knew what she was talking about, since she told me she grew up around those mattresses and self-proclaimed that she was very knowledgeable about them. And she kept talking and talking... while I tried testing the mattresses -- and while I was also thinking I didn't see any price tags on the mattresses, but she assured me that she knew the prices off the top of her head. In looking back, it is always easiest to figure out the truth -- why she didn't move from one particular small area in the store and why she "pushed" a certain label mattress, which it turns out all her recommendations were based on her family's mattress manufacturing company called Quality Bedding, which is located in Phoenix and supplies a lot of the mattresses they carry in the store under their own private label. So isn't it interesting that those were the mattresses I was being steered to buy, so they not only make money on the wholesale end, but also on the retail end. Clever! Just a wee bit of deception involved, but it sure doesn't stop the family from being very religious - at least according to Tahnee. And the story gets much worse as it unfolded when Tahnee never bothered to tell me that all sales are final -- not once did she ever mention it or was there a sign posted anywhere near where I stood that indicated all sales are final. She did tell me they allowed one exchange if the mattress wasn't right for me, even though that never occurred for me. You see, Tahnee's recommendation for my hip/bursa lower back problems was that I needed a soft mattress. I trusted her knowledge and supposed experience since I was in too much pain at that time to make a good decision myself. And who can really judge how a mattress will feel until it is slept on? With her family being in the same location for so many years, why would I even think I was dealing with unscrupulous people? When it came time to sign the handwritten receipt, she never happened to mention at that time either that all sales are final or did she point out the miniature point side on the receipt where it is stated at the bottom of the receipt. She went out of her way to make sure I was totally engaged in conversation with her while I signed my name on the receipt, without wearing my reading glasses, to actually see what I was signing. Tahnee, I thought, was making it easy for me, but what I learned later, made it easy for herself, to sell a mattress that was far from the right kind of mattress for my situation and made my bursa/hip situation worse. It took me one night's sleep to figure that out. But never once was I, the customer, taken into consideration after spending $2,478.40 in her store for a mattress and adjustable base. It was all about Tahnee and her family.... the very religious, Jewish business owners that she kept talking about. But actually, it was "really" all about money and her screwing (me) the customer. That was her and her family's real intent under what I refer to as Deceptive Business Practices - and deceptive business practices they were! My wife wanted a very specific bed frame. I called Sack time as I new they were a distributor of this company and they offered me the best price I could find in the valley (i called several places). They agreed they would order it for me so I came over and paid them (in full because it wasn't much money and I knew they are reputable because my parents love them too). A few weeks later I picked it up (help save on delivery for a small frame) as promised. They even took care of the box. I love when businesses allow for simple transactions and meet my needs. This is the only place I would recommend to get a mattress. The owners are amazing! It is a family owned and operated business and I have never had better service!
