Looking for somewhere different to go for lunch and my son is always up for spin the yelp wheel of options and we came across this gem. what made this a great experience was the friendliness of staff. While our order was initially not correct it was addressed immediately which to me is what truly elevates an experience. My family and I were in the area and saw they had great reviews so we had to stop in. I love brisket so I had to try some. It's a cute spot on the corner with great menu options. They didn't have a lot of tables to sit at but had more like bar top seating. When we came in there were 2 guys working and were so kind and welcoming. They even gave us free samples of the brisket over rice. This is probably some of the best brisket I've had in a while and the white sauce and hot sauce they put on it made it taste even better and brought all of the flavors together. After that first bite of the sample I was sold and had to order the small brisket over rice. It's a healthy serving and don't think I could eat a large serving which was the other option. My dad ordered the Brooklyn Cheesesteak which has brisket in place of steak and he ate it up before we could ask for a bite! It didn't come with fries so I'd recommend ordering some if you want more than just the sandwich. The service was great and fast. The next time I'm in town I'll be back to try one of their smash burgers and fries. read more

The bread to meat ratio was perfect, and they use a nice bread that is crispy but soft that complements the contents nicely. Just had the most incredible meal from Brooklyn Brisket! I got the brisket over rice, and wow, the flavor was just out of this world. The meat was so tender and juicy, and the rice was seasoned perfectly. Everything tasted so fresh, and you can really tell they take pride in what they make. I do wish they somehow had more seating (they only have bar top chairs facing the window and they were filled. We came in on a friends recommendation and were super happy. It's sort of a NY style deli with a wide variety of sandwiches and other items. We were told to try the brisket and it was AWESOME! So was the pastrami! The service was friendly and quick. I think they do mostly takeout, but there are a few tables inside, which was where we ate. It's not much for atmosphere but it more than checks all of the boxes for quality, service, and price. We also had their fries (in addition to a shared pastrami and brisket sandwiches) and they were super tasty as well. They add a spice mixture on them, which usually isn't out thing, but it was really flavorful without being overwhelming. I think this a great place for a meal on Genesee St in Utica. Excellent food. We stopped here on our way to Vermont through Utica. It's basically like a deli counter. Best to order take out. Nice people too. I am gluten intolerant so the nice guy - who was obviously the boss - told me he would toast my gf bread to make me a delicious corned beef sandwich. It was so scrumptious and satisfying: very nice flavor, not too salty, not fatty, just perfect and on my gf bread! Both The pickles and the side of Cole slaw were very good too. Plus, The service was very pleasant. Oh and I had a banana and strawberry smoothie which was yummy too. Great place. However, it Doesn't look like much from the street but the food is better than Katz's in NYC. It's just a simple space with some bar stools by the front window. But clean and bright. read more

Got the Brooklyn Sandwich. Brisket was a little dry, but I believe you can have them add sauce to it to take care of that. Overall the sandwich was well worth it. The guys behind the counter were helpful when explaining what's in the menu items and we're quick to get the food ready for you. The place had a small deli vibe to it and it was easy to see them putting together your order if you stood in the right spot.
