Beware! They trimmed my cat's whiskers -- which you should never do because it messes up their sense of balance and smell. Not only that, but when I called they tried to convince me they didn't do it -- and then even when I told them to give me a refund they did so while asking "are you sure you didn't get what you paid for" -- like WTF -- you damaged my cat, that's literally the LEAST you could do. I never write yelp reviews, but because of how genuinely alarming my experience with them was today, I'm writing this one. I was greatly mislead by all of the positive reviews and I cannot emphasize enough to read the negative ones and pay attention to those -- because I didn't. I brought my gentle, 7 year old west highland terrier to in for a 3pm appointment today. She has health conditions that I had noted when I made the appointment and clearly stated the treatments she cannot have because of it in writing and was told that is not a problem. When I arrived, I said I was here for a 3pm appointment and was not checked in, but a woman come over with a piece of paper on a clip board asking me how I wanted the cut. I said that I wanted a typical breed cut with a round head and that she has spots where hair is re-growing, so to just trim and even out her body. I was repeatedly asked for clarification on what I wanted for the cut -- as in to describe a westie cut which made me nervous. The woman was scribbling notes on this paper with every other dog's scribble notes and there was no sheet with my dog's specific information or with the notes I had given when I made the appointment. So, I reiterated all of them which was news to her and she just said "okay." While I was standing in the front room, there was a dog tied up who was excitedly pulling at his collar and choking himself. That also alarmed me. Then I was told it would take 1-3 hours and they would let me know within 20 mins to come pick her up, I was shocked by, but went against my better judgement and gave the leash to this woman. The woman took the leahe and my dog followed until I began to leave and then she, of course, tried to go with me. This woman was pulling on her and seemed to have no experience or understanding how to handle a dog and eventually very awkwardly picked her up at which point I felt like something was off and should have taken her back. I went home and had a really bad feeling about all of it, so I started searching for more info despite having read their reviews online prior -- which mainly appeared to be positive. Then, I found a recent thread in a community group page where people were sharing that their animals had been abused while in the care of this place and one woman claimed her healthy dog had died after a visit. So I called and asked for a hard pick-up time. The man who answered is apparently not in the building and had to call me back to ask the groomers. He called back and then said 2-4 hours after she had been there already for almost an hour. I asked if she had already been started. He said he'd call me back. When he did he said they had to find out where she was and who her groomer was and that she hadn't been started yet. A.K.A. she had been sitting in a cage for an hour while waiting. Why even bother scheduling appointments. I said that I would like to pick her up as soon as I could and he said he'd call me back. He called back a third time and asked when I wanted to come and I said I was walking there already. The man said that nothing had been started and that was no issue and that he told them to have her ready. I arrived at the store and my dog was still downstairs. The woman went to go get her and I could hear her talking to what I assume was my dog in a way that was not professional, scolding her saying, "no no, come on, don't do that!" and when my dog appeared at the stairs she looked dishelved and was acting incredibly distressed. While the woman was apologizing for the wait, the dog that was tied up when I arrived was now roaming free and crowding my dog. She was panting loudly and literally trying to run away. She was so stressed out, so I picked her up and left. When I got her home, I discovered that she had two bloody nails. I don't know if they had cut them or if she had been unsupervised and got her claw caught in a cage, but to say the absolute least, it is horrifying. the nail is a stub. She also had blood on the fur of her neck which I can only imagine is from the front nail profusely bleeding and clearly not being attended to -- I was not alerted that it had happened when I picked her up. Horrifying. There are no other words to describe it. Clearly this is a business that is about turning a profit and getting as many dogs through without giving them individual and proper treatment. I will also note that when I made the appointment, I was not asked for a vaccine history which was also a red flag to me, but I had naively assumed they were taking one dog at a time rather than keeping them stored in cages. It was an okay experience. They had to shave my puppy because of matting and I totally understood that. However, there were some points where I think it could have gone better. Before leaving, I asked the receptionist if my puppy had any cuts and she told me no and my puppy had great behavior during the grooming process. However, after 2 days I noticed that a scab had developed where she was shaved. Also, after looking at how my previous groomer had shaved my puppy (with some matting) , I think they could have done a better job. My puppy also started to lick her paws when she got home (this never happened with the previous groomer). I looked it up on the internet and this can happen when her nails are cut too short. I also checked her ears and only one of them had the hairs cleaned out. I had to pay an extra fee because of the matting and came out with a sort of an unattractive cut and did not get all of the services promised to me. I kind of don't understand why shaving a dog (to basically skin) cost more than getting a scissor cut but I didn't question it. Before I left, I gave the receptionist a chance to speak about anything in regards to my puppy. I wish someone had told me why only one of her ears were cleaned. I feel that it was a very rushed job especially after waiting 4 hours. I did feel that the receptionist was very positive and respectful when I went. She was honest about the condition of my dog's coat as well. She also gave me a tip to come back every 2 weeks for a trim and bath. And I'm very thankful for that. Last week my dog was taken to this spa for Wash and Brush... I have a very well maintained Afghan who I brush daily and groom monthly. Unfortunately her groomer was not available and we decided to give this place a try. Day before her grooming appointment I made sure to cut out all mats she had and brush her myself. Some time into an appointment groomer called asking if they can cut her coat as she is SUPER MATTED...My mistake, I said yes. So they BUTCHERED my beautiful Afghan!! Next day I find marks on her belly from restrictions they used...it's been a week and it's still pretty sore there, poor girl is uncomfortable. I was charged separately for trimming nails, cleaning ears and cleaning glands-all totalling $160 (my regular groomer charges $80 for all). Too bad I didn't take a picture, but her ears were not even touched-trimmed and looking ugly, but all dirty inside. It's hair and it will grow back, she is gorgeous anyway, BUT BRUISES!!! It took me a week to compose myself and write this... Customer be aware!!! read more

They told me my standard poodle had an ear infection. I said DO NOT PLUCK my dogs ears. They called me back saying they already plucked. My dog has been shaking her head and whining at the touch for TWO days now. This is NOT what she was doing ever before they plucked her ears. I'm so PISSED to say the least. I've been here twice and never will return. My dog never had her ears plucked so you do not excessively pluck her ears in one go. I wouldn't ever take anything living back to this place. Especially since a dogs ears DO not have to be plucked per my VET. They can be trimmed and there are ways to ensure they stay dry. read more

Speaking with the groomers and other personnel at the salon gave us confidence to know they truly knew their stuff, helped us in finding the options that were best for our pup. Everything from the booking process, questions about grooming, grooming techniques, location, directions, and beyond friendliness to you and your dog! We feel like we've been a clients of theirs for many years, even though it was Zosya's (our cute English cocker spaniel) firs grooming there. They treat dogs and customers so nice that I would go there just to talk and see them! After the grooming they put on her bandana which was super cute) She was taken care of like a princess and I can tell how much she loved it. Not every groomer does cats, so I was pleased to learn the PetSpa does. it's much harder to groom cats than dogs. I have two Maine Coons who we brush frequently, but their hair just grows and grows! The cats are not accustomed to grooming though, and our boy is 20 lbs of fur and muscle! We were nervous because the last time we had them groomed at another place they just shaved them. But these guys did a great job... took a lot of hair off their undercarriages and hind quarters without going "full Marine." They did a dry shampoo... these are NOT the Maine coons who love water. DO NOT GO HERE. I my poor kitty was extremely stressed out when I arrived. The staff was BLASTING music while grooming my cat and all of the other animals. I had to go in the back to help my cat get groomed, this is how I know this. I have never seen my cat so distressed. When I came to the place for a booked appointment, I was told that the appointment would take maybe 2 hours then it went to 3-5hrs, why is a scheduled appt taking 5hrs?? He only need bath and fingernails. That was my first red flag and wish I didn't leave my dog from that moment. There isn't any real price list or menu. Then You don't get any real details once you drop your dog off. There's no way for me to actually tell if all the add-ons and special requests were used but once I got my dog 5 hours later he looked not even groomed yes I could tell they washed him but he looked very spotty and uneven. Then they weren't able to even cut his nail so I believe I may have still paid for that service although they did mention they tried. But my main takeaway from this place is if your dog has no fleas or prior skin related issues do not bring them here. My dog has serious infection from whatever was done in their back room you can't even see and he hasn't had any fleas prior so it was very upsetting I would leave a photo below but it is extremely graphic. Even your response is cocky and arrogant, it's not the price I paid that bothers me it's the service that disappointed me. Second time I came in for grooming, I've never asked your guys to go to the back to help your groomer, that's not my job. It was an option given to me when your employees called me 20 mins into leaving my cat there. You keep saying my cat is aggressive he is not aggressive cat he was scared, your employee kept tapping my cats back with the buzzer to calm him down. I've never seen any cat calm down that way. On top of that when my cat reacted to his belly being buzzed. Your employee said that "he cannot get himself get hurt" not my cat. So therefore the concern was not my cats well being. I returned on April 7th and I asked specific instructions on how I want his hair cut to be done since he was sedated I don't think it was an issue. Was it done? Of course not, your employee gave my cat uneven cut, some parts are long, some parts are short. What was the point of my cat being sedated for an uneven haircut. Also, remind you my cat was not even fully dried when I picked him up, he had shampoo or something on his fur that I had to clean it up. Instead of blaming the customers and the cat, you should better hire or better train your employees. I have nothing else to say to you. read more

I get there with my two dogs and the kid is looking at me like I'm an idiot. Do people not do both services? He then couldn't find us in the system. Offered no solutions just kept starting at me. I'm not really one to leave reviews, but my experience here was just okay. I called for an appointment and they were able to fit me in the same day which I was very grateful for and when I got there they even took her and got started right away. This is my rescue dog's first grooming and I wanted it to be a good experience for her, so I hung around for a bit to ask questions and just make sure everything was going well. The girl at the front desk came out and told me they wanted to shave her down after evaluating due to matting, and I asked to speak with the groomer because I wanted to see what matting they meant as I brush my dog every day. You're not allowed in the back area so the groomer came out to show me and after speaking we all agreed that she could be cut down to 4 (they have a list of 1 -5, 1 being shaved completely). At least I thought we all agreed, when I got my dog back she was shaved to the point where I can see her skin and quite frankly I wasn't sure it was my dog! Her curls were completely gone. I should also mention she has two patches of missing fur we have been trying to grow back and I said "don't cut to match the length of the patches because we're growing it back". I even pointed to a picture on the wall and asked if she could look something like that. I guess no one really understood what I was asking for. She smells nice and her nails and ears are clean, but this morning she just wasn't as excited as she usually is so I'm not sure if she even enjoyed the experience... read more
