If you want the best ice cream in town. This is the place to be! This is hands down my kids' favorite spot.

What a hidden gem! This will just be a quick review as it is just an ice cream shop, albeit a GOOD…read moreice cream shop. Located next to the famous Fort Wayne Coney Island in downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana, Sweets on Main is an adorable locally-owned ice cream shop that opened on Main Street just a few years ago. Lots of love and care went into making this a great ice cream experience for customers, including instagram-worthy photo walls, a place for kids to play in, good pricing and hours, and of course - delicious ice cream. After a yummy lunch at the coney dog restaurant, my boyfriend and I still had room in our tummies for dessert and I have had Sweets on Main bookmarked for a bit. We only wanted a little portion of ice cream (we were gonna have lots of birthday cake later that day) and we were happy to see that a small portion of ice cream was only $3! We tried a few flavors - I spent a while debating between getting banana pudding and brown butter bourbon truffle - and then we chose our flavor. I got the brown butter flavor as I love ice cream with texture and my boyfriend got the Michigan Pothole flavor. To our surprise, each scoop also came with a FREEEEE topping of our choice! We both chose to get the biscoff sprinkles. Then we paid, sat down, and enjoyed our yummy treats! There are plenty of seats and the service is great. Overall, I highly recommend Sweets on Main for a fun treat. Great ice cream and great prices!

Ice cream flavors are bomb. I recommend getting the macaroon ice cream sandwich or in a waffle cone. I enjoyed the coffee and birthday cake ice cream flavors. Service is always top notch. Ambiance is also laid back.

We enjoy walking up instead of the drive thru because it's nice to see the flowers and it goes a little quicker in my opinion.

It's remarkably still around and more popular than ever! This location on St. Joe Center Road is the closest to my family home and the one I have the most memories of - my dad would often take me, my siblings, my mom, and whatever dog(s) we had at the time in his 1955 GMC pick-up truck (which he only used for short trips) and let us each get a small soft serve twist cone on hot summer nights in the 90s and 2000s. He would complain about the price, take a bite out of each cone, and we would eat our ice cream while people watching. Good memories. My boyfriend wanted to see some of my favorite childhood places so we stopped here last night on the way home from my birthday dinner (I always have room in my stomach for ice cream!). I got my childhood fave, a medium soft serve twist but with sugar free lemon and vanilla instead of the vanilla/chocolate combo our dad would get us. In the last 20 years, Zesto's has expanded their menu immensely and offer more flavors, more toppings, and even things like dole whip and Boston coolers! My boyfriend got a medium peach Boston cooler and enjoyed it, but it was a lot so I graciously finished it off for him. The medium was a lot smaller than it should be for nearly $5 while the Boston cooler was appropriately priced at about $6. Now I see why my dad always complained about the cost! Yes, Zesto's is more expensive than most other places like it but its really good ice cream, kind and quick service, and holds a special place in my heart! #worthit
