We had the chance to stop by Brooklyn Pizza while visiting Fulton, a small town full of history and charm. A kind lady at the Winston Churchill Museum suggested we try it, and I'm so glad she did! She also mentioned that their Tiramisu is house made and delicious!! We started with the chicken parmigiana appetizer, which was really tasty. Chicken was fried to perfection and the tomato sauce wasn't overpowering.. just the right taste! For the main course, we went with the Missouri Pie, which had a unique blend of minced pork and beef. I'd never had a combo like that on pizza before, and I really enjoyed it. The crust was thin and flaky, baked well, and the meat gave it a rich and hearty flavor. I added Parmesan, chili flakes, and oregano, which elevated the taste of the pizza for sure. Since it was a Sunday afternoon, the place was buzzing with people and everyone seemed to be enjoying their food. It's such a fun and refreshing addition to the quiet, history-filled town of Fulton. Tried a Missouri Pie for the first time: ground pork and beef, minced green peppers, onions and garlic. It was definitely different, but not in a bad way. The pizza is thin with crispy-chewy crust, living up to its New York style reputation. The meatball sub I ordered was quite hefty and had great flavor and texture. Service was good. Pizza was OK, not really anything too special, however the cheese was really good and saved the disappointment in the lackluster pizza sauce. We had the chezzy garlic bread and that was pretty good. Overall it is probably one of the better offerings for food in the downtown Fulton area, but it won't be a staple for my family unfortunately. The pizza is just ok, nothing to write home about. Crust is like cardboard and the sauce wasn't flavorful. We also ordered spumoni to go and when we got home there was about a half a scoop of spumoni in there. I think they charged us $3 or $4 for a half a scoop. Pizza Hut is better. read more

On our way home from Saint Louis. Decided to stop here and order Togo for the ride home. Arrived at 8:41 pm. Doors clearly state they close at 9 pm. Doors are locked. I called and asked if they are closed. I was told yes, they close a "little early because no one was in the dining room. We have side work to do so we will be done around 9 pm." ummm... I responded by asking if the owner knew & was told yes. I was planning to place a fairly large order. It's obvious they do not care about customers considering they are still there, but not one time did they offer to serve us despite the fact that they were open. Don't waste your time. I love the simplicity of their dishes. I had their spaghetti with meatballs, not overly garnished with spices, just simple and good. FOOD- Brooklyn Pizza has a wide variety of Italian cuisine. I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana Sub Sandwich. My meal, as well as other members of my party's meals, were delicious and cooked very well. The drinks we were served were cold and full of flavor. SERVICE- The service at Brooklyn Pizza was good service. We were waited on almost as soon as we sat down, we received our drinks and started ordering our food very soon after. After ordering our food, we did not have to wait too long before our food had arrived at our table. The food also came out very warm. Love this place. We always have great service and the pizzas are always fantastic. We also love their salads and they have the best house dressing. If you like New York Style Pizza, you won't be disappointed with going to Brooklyns. Service and ambiance are great but the best thing is the food! I didn't want to fill up on salad but my husband ordered one and we shared it. I was amazed by the sweet vinaigrette dressing, which is the best dressing I've ever had. I almost ordered another and had them hold the lettuce! I am happy I didn't because I would not have been able to eat as much of the pizza, which I believe is also the best I've ever had! I cannot have wheat and had to order the gluten free crust, which was great, but the cheese is what makes a pizza and I would swear it was fresh mozzarella!! I thought the staff was not that friendly to be honest and the food was ok. It was cold in the place and waitress didn't check on us that much. It amazes me how many more dining options Fulton has that it did just a few years ago. I was in town for Alumni Weekend, but it seemed like the staff wasn't quite prepared for the influx of customers. It didn't bother me really because I wasn't in a hurry, but the service was awfully slow. That being said I did enjoy my calzone when it finally came out. I built my own with mushrooms and spinach. I'm usually a pizza girl over calzone, but I was the only one eating and didn't need a whole pie. It is nice to see a sit down pizza joint in town that isn't a chain, and I would be willing to go back in the future perhaps with a larger group to try more of the menu. I just hope they realize when Alumni Weekend is in the future so they can staff up! read more

I love small businesses and try to support them. I really wanted to love this place and I had heard good things from the people who work at the Churchill Museum. We were craving Arris' Pizza but since it was 30 miles away, we opted for this place. The service was friendly enough and the atmosphere was fine, but I found myself really wishing we could sit outside or on the patio (which was like one huge table). Their menu is very limited, and I didn't find much original. We were there on Mother's Day and there was no "Happy Mother's Day" or any real observance of it. The pizza was fine but nothing special in my book, even though I really wanted it to be because I am all about the small, independent entrepreneur. They did offer a gluten free crust. We should have gone ahead and opted for it because the regular crust didn't leave me breathless. They serve beer and wine, so I loved that about it. Many small places don't bother to apply for the liquor license so that was a pleasant surprise. They had a tannin free wine too so that is awesome. Their salad was fine but I guess I was hoping for a little originality-- like a creamy italian dressing with provel or something. It was lettuce, italian dressing, and mozzerella. Just nothing to hook me. The pizza was okay but not my favorite. I would try it again but I would love it if they offered some cheese options or a Chicago style pizza, or just something to make me choose them over a chain. read more
