Have not had Brooklyn Pizzeria in a while so decided to give them another try. I called in an order for a Half and Half Specialty. I will say the menu is confusing the way it is written. It looks like a half and half is going to be about $14, but I made the one half Brooklyn Special. That changes the price to the $20.56, that's the same price of the Specialty, for half the topings. I honestly think they should take the half and half pizza option off, it only serve to confuse the customer and it saves them no money. Other than this issue the pizza was good. If you live in the area and are debating Brooklyn vs Russo's. Brooklyn has the better value, while Russos has a slightly higher quality pizza. However for $22 at Russos I get a pizza that is maby 8" accross and at Brooklyn I get a solid 16" pizza for that cost. The ambiance is nothing great, I would not be taking a date here, this is more of a pick up and bring home place. If you are looking for a pizza that is a bit better than Papa Johns and Pizza hut check out Brooklyn. I would recommend and return. read more

It was that time for Pizza again. We decided to get it home with all the talk about the new variant of the Corona virus in the air. Had been wanting to try the new Brooklyn Pizzeria so dropped by to order a custom pizza. We always go for custom pizza where the option is available so we can add our veggies along with extra bell peppers, jalapenos etc, to make it more spicy. We did not have to wait long, the crowd was less and we got the order in about 20 minutes. It was piping hot off the brink oven and smelled great. Once home we opened it with a bottle of coke on the side. It tasted great, it simply melted in the mouth, and the size was bigger than normal, that was an added bonus so it took care of an unhealthy, but yummy breakfast to look forward to. Disgusting and definitely not representative of New York. New Yorkers would be ashamed of this pizza. It took them 40 minutes to bring us one slice of pizza and 10 wings. The pizza was so undercooked that the toppings were cold and still full of water because they weren't cooked properly. The wings were so overcooked that they were basically chicharrones. The skin was so dry that the wings exploded into a cloud of dust when bitten. They overcompensated for this by dumping way too much Baby Ray's on it. Funny thing is that the staff was sitting there with two dozen wings from Buffalo Wild Wings. I asked "You don't even eat your own wings?" The staff laughed. They knew their food was bad. How bad does the food need to be that your staff doesn't even want it, when it's free? Maybe the food isn't free for staff. Came in around 11:20am (they open at 11am). No other customers were in there I ordered 2 slices of cheese pizza, $2.31 each. A girl rings us out... $5.40. Heh? How much are they? She tells me she did the 2-slice 1-topping lunch special. I mention that since we got cheese only, it's actually less to just pay for the slices without the special. She re rings up the slices, which comes to $5 even. Wait time for the 2 slices was around 5 minutes. Seemed long for slices personally. I figured they would have had some ready to go. Ah well. The pizza was EXCELLENT. Reminded me so much of NYC pizza. Super thin, crispy crust with a slight chew to it. Perfectly foldable. Sauce was on point. Cheese was just enough. I mean, it was a KILLER slice. Normally I am not a cheese-only fan but this slice didn't make me miss pepperoni at all. So now for the minus star... I came in with a 4 year old. Whoever picked the tv/music station put on a rap station. Every other word was inappropriate. "Mother f*cker this," "f*ck that," "b*tches." Oh and then aside from the swearing, I looked at the screen and some dude is groping Nicki Minaj's giant boobs". Lovely. Now, I'm no prude... I grew up listening to Dre and Biggie... BUT I also didn't have a toddler at the time. I just think about all the clientele that would be grossly offended by this music, possibly never entering this establishment again due to it. There definitely SHOULD be a rule with staff about what can be put on during working hours. Just realized, I compared this place to the wrong pizzeria, so my whole review was basically based on comparison of this location to another. The other place is Brother's Pizzeria on hwy 6 & 10 ( Great Pizza). So all in all Brooklyn's is a true 2 star. Lack of flavor, toppings scarce and no parm/red pepper Im pretty sad about this pizza, haven't had pizza from one of these since almost 8 years on west side of town, though then I thought it was one of the best flavored pizzas. Today I decided to get it delivered and when opening I wasn't impressed by the amount of toppings and less impressed on the flavor. Just didn't really have any flavor. I had to spruce it up by adding my own seasoning. Could've just gotten frozen from the grocery and did the same thing. Is parm and red pepper and banana peppers not a thing in Brooklyn, because I didn't get any. I used to love Houston "new york style pizza", but lately ppl just putting the name on it and cutting quality and flavor. Especially if you order in advance as I have many times over the years and they have missed the time of delivery 3/4 of the time. You do have to ask them for red pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese though, it does not come with the order nor is it at the table. They have a pretty decent lunch special, and their menu is easy to read and understand. I only got pizza and wings, but I wouldn't mind trying their pasta options next time. I went a couple hours after the "lunch rush" so I was the only one in the dining area for my meal. It was very quiet aside from the TVs being on a low volume and the workers chatting in the back. Which was perfect for me!! All of the staff was friendly and asked me if I needed anything as I dined alone, but I can tell they went out of their way for that, I don't believe they do that on a normal day. They were all pretty young, but aside from being a little chatty during their down time they were friendly and polite. A little out of the way and a bit hard to find, but it's worth it. Obviously made to order. Crunchy, gooey, the "right kind" of greasy, floppy as it should be for NY style, flavors are spread evenly throughout the pie. Very friendly and respectful staff. The young lady that took my order was very helpful going through the menu with me, and patiently waited through my indecisiveness. Very clean.
