I had Jersey Mike's for the first time this evening. They're only open for take out right now due to Covid-19. I placed my order online. I ordered a turkey and provolone sandwich with all the veggies that come on it (Mike's Way - onions, lettuce, tomatoes, vinegar, oil, spices) on rosemary Parmesan bread. I was going to order chips but the only options I could find were regular Lays and Doritos. I wanted to try to add cucumbers to the sandwich but it wasn't an option. I don't know if they normally offer cucumbers but the site did state that they have limited options right now. One thing that I did appreciate was that the site had an option to add in tip. More and more places aren't accepting cash so I was happy to see that. When I arrived, I was surprised to see how busy it was. There were probably 7-8 people inside either waiting to order or waiting to pick up an order which in hindsight was not ideal for social distancing. Luckily most people had on masks. The pick up area was confusing. They had tables set out that said mobile orders, but then they had an area near the register that said pick up. My sandwich was ready, but I didn't even realize it because it was sitting near the register and not on the table. There was no staff to greet customers walking in and explain the set up. After I realized that my sandwich was ready, I wasn't sure if I could just walk up and grab my order. I asked a customer and he didn't know. I grabbed it and walked out. The employees didn't say anything or try to check my online receipt or anything. My sandwich was really good and very filling. The bread was soft, the seasonings were good, and there was a good amount of meat. I definitely enjoyed the sandwich, but I wish the customer service would have been better. read more

I absolutely love Jersey mikes. It's the only ype of sandwich shop ( in houston) I know of that cuts the meats when you order it. Bread is fresh and is so yummy. My fav is the rosemary parmigiana bread with the Italian original. The people who work here always makes my sandwiches perfectly. With work fast and efficiently. I have never had a bad experience here. And you can tell that the team was trained to roll the sandwiches tight and perfectly twisted in the bag. When I order my sandwich to be eaten fo next day, I get the oil and vinegar on the side. If I plan to eat the sandwich in the same day, then I get it mikes way with extra pickles. This place gives Jersey a bad name. I lived there. They take pride in their subs. This place is ridiculous. I have given them numerous chances. They were decent when they first opened. They have gradually gotten worse. Today the bread was stale, falling apart and the lettuce was wet. The distribution of meat is important and they just slap it on there. I first checked out Jersey Mike's Subs when I was living in North Carolina. After moving back to Texas in 2013, I've been to Jersey Mike's a couple of times here. This was my first time visiting their Pearland location. I stopped by on a Monday for takeout from dinner. As we're going through crazy times, I always appreciate when a restaurant does the right thing and tries to make things as safe and possible for their guests. Jersey Mike's has signs on the ground to indicate where you should wait in line so you're six feet apart from the person in front of and in back of you. There's a glass wall at checkout and hand sanitizer handy. All of this helps. Jersey Mike's has both cold sandwiches and warm sandwiches and I'm always going to go with a warm one. Compared to their competitors, Jersey Mike's stands out with Philly cheesesteaks. I went with the chipotle Philly cheesesteak which comes with your choice of bread, steak, cheese, onions, peppers, and a chipotle-mayo sauce. Jersey Mike's is comparable to other sub chains in my mind like Subway and Quizno's. Added bonus: join their rewards program to rack up points on purchases to get discounts. read more

Had a Mike's chicken cheesesteak and it was great! Well seasoned and the reg size is a good size & only has around 640 calories. The sandwich includes, Peppers, onions & cheese. I ordered at 630 pm and didn't receive our to-go order until 730 pm with only 3 customers. We ordered only 1 reg sub and a bowl :/ and the bowl wasn't done until 30 mins later . The customer who was behind us got tired of waiting and left . The girl who worked at the front of the store was on her phone when we walked in and didn't even try to handle what she was supposed to be doing. When I tried to speak up already since I didn't really want to be rude, that's the only time they managed to make my bowl . No one even apologized. For a period of ten years, I worked in the food industry, and I never had the opportunity to experience anything like this before. As a matter of fact, if she had been my employee, I would have already fired her right away!!! I went an hour before closing and when i walked in no one was in the front which wasn't a problem however the girl who took my order asked me three times what i wanted and didn't want which wasn't a problem however she made the sandwich wrong in front of me and when i asked her to remake it she rolled her eyes and proceeded to re make it and when she checked me out she didn't give me a bag and walked away before i even paid which is extremely rude. i've never had a problem at any jersey mikes establishment i love the workers however the girl who checked me out had a horrible attitude. read more

First time at any Jersey's Mike and am impressed with the freshness and the taste of the food. It appeared that the vegetables were sliced fresh and the deli meat was sliced fresh. I got to see the deli meat being used and from my taste buds it was acceptable (though I know the bulk price for 35% ham and water hovers around $1.5lb (about 25 slices per lb by the way they slice it). Would I normally be upset about spending $7.95 for that? If the combination of food was good and fresh, it was worth it. Will be back. read more

I love Jersey Mike's but was really disappointed with the customer service and how long they took to make my subs. I ordered a #2 regular (cold), #7 mini (cold), and #44 hot. The cold ones were ready within minutes. The #44 took at least 25 min. Please note- there was one person in front of me that ordered a cold sub and was out pretty fast. So at the time I ordered I was the only one there. I was getting inpatient waiting and watching other peoples hot subs be ready except for mine. I told the cashier I had already been waiting for a while and didn't understand why they were taking so long. She responds to me that all "the food is cooked fresh". So I told her "well what happens if my other two sandwiches are soggy by the time my hot one is ready"? She responds by telling me that if I want new ones I would have to pay for them and that they take long to cook and I wouldn't want a raw meat sandwich given to me. I then told her it just wouldn't be a fair practice to have to pay for new sandwiches when It wasn't my fault employees took so long to cook. Also, she mentioned that next time for my reference I could tell them to cook the hot sandwich first and then make the cold ones. She tried to get the manager involved but he seemed young and shy and didn't say much. She called him by saying "hey she wants us to give her the food raw"... Not sure how that was what she got from the conversation. At that point I just decided to leave things alone because my point wasn't getting across. Jersey Mikes can you please clarify why I would have to pay for new meals(if the condition is no good) if employees are taking 25 min to give me the full order? This happened around 7-7:30 pm Thursday Sept 29. Your response to this situation is much appreciated as it seems other reviewers are also discussing how long the wait is. read more

Good Food but lacking management. all Employees seem very nice yet lacking in training. The person completing the sandwiches apparently needs glasses and although they try to squint and read the handwritten order has made several mistakes in a 5 minute period. One to include picking jalapeños off of a sandwich. Yes the juice stayed put. little surprise for someone. Typing this out while I wait, I am pretty sure they are having to redo my chicken bacon ranch. Not sure why but am enjoying the show while I write my first Yelp review. What a disorganized miss managed establishment so disappointed. I placed my order online at 2 PM to pick up at 5:45 PM. I arrived five minutes early and waited in my car until the time to pick up my order. My husband and I are in a high-risk group for COVID 19 so I take the social distancing seriously. There was no one waiting when I walked in and gave an employee my name. I was wearing my surgical Mask thank you to protect anyone around me from my germs.Not one of the employees or the six other people that came in after me was wearing a mask. In the 15 minutes That I waited for my order I was asked to give my name for the order three different times and was told every time that they were working on it. Really I would not think that an order for 4 sandwiches could be that complicated .The other six people that arrived after I did got their orders and left.It is not so much the waiting that upset me as the risk. This could have been managed differently . I would have gladly waited in my car they could then have Just waved at the window like old school or texted me.What a 100% improvement read more
