Visited family in the area and had basic, overpriced pizza and food on the beach. Save your money for somewhere else.

I've been coming here since the 70s and what used to be a great beach slice/boardwalk food is a sad shadow of its former self. $5 for a slice of pizza? Ok, maybe that's what the rent now dictates. But it better be good, and it's not. Small slices, oven not cleaned so it tastes burned. There are usually not enough people working there. The owner's buddies write posts on the manasquan facebook page shilling for it, but it's just disappointing. read more

My wife and ai had an okay tuna wrap for lunch, then later decided to try their ice cream. The ice cream was a huge, overpriced, bland disappointment. We only treat ourselves occasionally, and to waste it on this cheap, guar gum filled crap was unfulfilling. I mean, how do you screw up ice cream? $7 for the smallest cone they offer. Ugh read more

The pizza is good. Especially considering your ocean front options are extremely limited. But the rest of the food is worse than mediocre. I got chicken fingers for my daughter and I to split and they were so bland that we barely ate any of them. No flavor whatsoever. And, like many others have mentioned, the prices are a little absurd. A large plain cheese pizza is $24. Though I did see a pizza place over at Jenkinson's was $37 for a large plain pie. So maybe we should be thankful? If you're in a pinch and have $20 for a couple of spices and a drink, this is the place to go. Unless you want to eat healthier and go to the Playa Bowls next door, that is. This review is specifically about the arcade (not Gee Gee's Pizza). Gee Gee's was a once storied arcade, connected to Gee Gee's Pizza on the Manasquan macadam beside the beach. For years and years, it had been a great place for all ages, especially young children up through the teenage years. You don't find many arcades nowadays, especially ones on the beach! This one used to have all kinds of different machines and games... classic coin push machines, shooting video games, driving/racing games, ski ball, a popcorn scrambler game with a basket, Harpoon Lagoon, a weird game to make a videogame character jump across buildings using a large control lever... all tied to tickets to be used at the classic prize counter where nothing amounts to more than a few dollars (often cents) of value. Gee Gee's was your quintessential 1980s/90s retro experience packaged up in a small, claustrophobically charming spot beside the ocean. And then came 2023. Sadly, they gutted the entire operation. They took out all the varied kinds of games in exchange for ubiquitous, homogenous, soul-sucking claw machines, none of which are cheap to play. The zany prize counter got traded in for a bunch of hemp oil products. I really don't get it. Not sure who the core audience is that they think they are appealing to, but the fun factor certainly went out the window. Shame on you, Gee Gee's. Make Gee Gee's Great Again! #MGGGA read more

My family and I visited Fisherman's cove to take our pups to the beach. Pizza was the appropriate choice to have. We ordered two pies. Now in my opinion cheese and sauce make the pizza. The crust was a little flimsy so it Could have been cooked a little longer but the cheese and sauce perfection! I also LOVED the pepperoni they were big slices! Compliments to the chef! read more

This place is in a great location right off the beach on the boardwalk in Manasquan. GeeGee's has a nice menu that will accommodate any ones tastebuds. They have interesting hot and cold sandwiches, burgers, pizza and more along with specials. I've been here twice now. The staff is extremely friendly and polite. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor dining with views of the beach and ocean. The first time I came I tried a couple slices of the their pizza and it was really good. The pizza was crispy on the outside with lots of flavor. I chose their White Pie with Broccoli, Mozzarella and Ricotta and I chose their Sausage, Peppers and Onions Pizza too. Both slices were excellent. GeeGee's also sells whole pies to order. For my second time visiting, I chose their Gee-Gee BLT Egg Sandwich. Sunny Egg, Avocado, Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato and Sriracha on Toasted Bread. Their sriracha is pretty spicy, so I would suggest asking for a side of mayo and mixing it together. I ate mine the way it came because I like spicy food. The sandwich is a good size. The combination of the eggs and bacon the avocado along with the cold crisp lettuce and tomato make for a great breakfast or anytime sandwich. Get lots of napkins, this sandwich can be a little messy but well worth it. I also got an order of their regular medium salted fries. They were nice and crispy, and you can have a choice of seasonings on them, Salted, Cajun or Old Bay. For a little extra you can also get Cheese, Chili, or both on top. If your hungry and don't want to pack food for the beach, or want to take a break from the sun, then definitely come try GeeGee's. They sell Cheesesteaks, baskets of Chicken Fingers and fries , hot dogs, etc which is great for kids or anyone in the mood for it. GeeGee's does have a ramp so they can accommodate Mothers with strollers or people who are handicapped. This is definitely my go to place when visiting Manasquan beach. read more

This is a really convenient spot on the Manasquan boardwalk. They have a huge menu that can cover almost any dietary restriction, are super friendly, and fast. I went there a few times last summer and also this summer. I got grilled chicken breast with avocado the first time and it was super tasty and fresh. I also shared fries with the others in my party and they were OK. The homemade lemonade was great! For breakfast I got an egg platter with hash browns and rye bread. The egg was cooked great, the hash brown was way too oily, and I had 1/4 piece rye bread which was a bad idea since I know I don't do well with gluten. ;) My nephew liked the piece of pizza he had (and the pancakes the next day) and my mom liked her burger (and also thought the breakfast was a little greasy). Staff is super kind. We went to go pay for our breakfast yesterday with a credit card and a big storm temporarily knocked out the connection to their card processor so they couldn't charge us. They made our food anyway and said they trusted us to come back and pay later which was super nice of them. Luckily as we were eating, the connection came back. read more

Gee Gee's is an order at the counter pizza place with a nice selection of hot sandwiches. There is ample indoor and outdoor seating. If the weather is nice outdoors is the place to be, especially since their patio overlooks the ocean. We ordered up a couple of sandwiches (chicken parmigiana and chicken cheesesteak). Both were hot and fresh, made to order. They were good sandwiches and the bread they use is particularly tasty. The prices are a bit high, but given the lack of local options they are able to charge whatever they want. Because there are limited options in Manasquan to grab a quick Ocean front bite, I would certainly come back to Gee Gee's again. read more

Such a shame that Gee Gee's has gone so far downhill since the ownership change a few years ago (the previous owners still operate Gee Gee's Deli which is very good). The only things worth eating in my opinion are the pizza (not bad but pricey) and the burgers (also not bad but pricey). Last week I got a Coney Dog (foot long with chili, onions and mustard). They used a hoagie roll which was not fresh. The hot dog is passable but instead of chili it had cooked hamburger meat with no sauce. Pathetic. Today I tried a Philly cheese steak. Again the roll was not fresh. There was barely any meat or cheese. Unless I'm in the mood for pizza I am NOT going here any more. Sad indeed. read more

The grilled chicken (one piece of chicken for $15) was so tough it couldn't be eaten. I've always loved Gee Gee's growing up in Manasquan, but not anymore. I understand it's on the beach and it will always be pricier, but $60 for two large pizzas is absolutely ridiculous. It was $51, but I added the $9 because I felt pressured to tip as she was staring at us tipping. We looked for a place to eat after the beach that had outdoor dining and wasn't crowded along with the employees wearing masks. This was the best place. Everyone had to wear a mask to go pick up their pizza. We all went outside and had no problem finding a table that nobody was around us. The pizza was delicious the staff was nice and we would definitely go back! read more

Ordered here using their online ordering a few times this Summer. Easy pick up. Overall, I'm impressed. The prices are a bit high but the food quality is very good. In particular, the pizza slices and breakfast sandwiches are fresh and tasty. Outdoor seating is nice all the time, but extra nice during the pandemic. read more

I was at Manasquan for the Meters for Mike Ocean swim, I was excited to get lunch so I came here and got a hot dog. Respectfully, it was the worst hot dog I have ever consumed. Gee Gee's is the only place you eat when you go to Manasquan. When I was growing up coming here, the pizza used to be a lot better. The crust was soft and kind of folded over on itself. They have changed it since the 90's, but it's still pretty awesome. When my mom gave my brother and me money for ice cream mid-afternoon, he got ice cream, and I got a slice from Gee Gee's. read more

Location-wise, Gee Gee's is hard to beat -- the red umbrellas are visible pretty much from the entire mile that is Manasquan beach. That being said, the pizza is just ooookay. And by that I mean, if I wasn't half-starved (as I was when I trekked barefoot across scorching sand this past Saturday) I would've done a little more Yelp-ing to find something (better) to satiate my hunger. Side note, I now think I've lived in the city long enough (and had enough pizza slices) to confirm that my pizza taste-buds have very much improved from when I packed my suitcases for New York City. I grew up going to Gee gees and as an adult, love going there with my husband for a few slices after a day at the beach. Yesterday, we decided to go for the first time this season and both of us noticed a change in the taste, especially with the pepperoni pizza. The pizza looks the same but unfortunately, was not the great tasting pizza we have enjoyed for years. After eating three slices, we both believe it's the red sauce that's different. We also had the chicken bacon ranch pizza and that was very bland. So disappointing!! At $4.25 a slice, it better be good! Great Pizza Place right on the Manasquan boardwalk. There's nothing like a good piece of plain cheese pizza on the Manasquan Boardwalk. This place got wiped out during Hurricane Sandy, but, thank goodness, it's back up and operating even better than before. They have much wider choices on their menu, but we still can't resist their delicious pizzas. Highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner on the Boardwalk. read more

I have never had such a trash experience at a restaurant. I walked in for a hot dog and French fries. Waited 20 minutes with no answer as people who came after me get fed. Dismissive employees won't pay any mind to me and have the worst attitude on this planet. I walked back up to the cashier and asked for a refund after stating that I had been waiting 20 minutes FOR A HOT DOG. The cashier then proceeded to refund me for the hot dog. I had to then wait and ask for a refund on the fries that I also never got. I would recommend you walk right by this over priced garbage can that they call a restaurant. The manager should really teach these employees some manners. read more

There was a pie called the Tye Dye and it was the most unique and delicious pie I have ever had! It was a creative mix of a buffalo pizza, BBQ pizza, and chicken bacon ranch!
