The Brooks Brothers outlet store in Assembly Row is wonderful! There are many things I enjoy about the shopping experience, including the wide variety of clothing and friendly sales associates! I live close by, so I visit the store frequently. The selection of sweaters is great; it's my favorite article of clothing to browse! High-quality, well-made wool and cotton fabrics! This store is awesome! Louis is one of the managers there and is always very helpful and honest. I am one of the few women who really depend on the Brooks Brother's ladies department for work clothes. Although their selection of women's clothing is about 1/4 the men's, I always seem to find things that fit well and are of good quality. The selection is also surprisingly better than the actual Brooks Brother's stores. I prefer the outlet. Jerry knew that I was going for jobs at a hospital and needed to be dressed both modern and conservative. Yesterday we visited Brooks Brother's managed by Robert Siracusa. This was a last minute visit to purchase something for my wife to wear for an interview. I have a decent eye for fashion but when we asked Robert if he'd help us, he rocked it. He picked out a dress that is absolutely perfect for her in addition to a few other options and sizes. The store was busy but Robert made sure that he over delivered by walking the store collecting skirts, shirts and pants while my wife tried everything on. The original dress won. Robert's personality is awesome, I enjoyed speaking with him, and he worked all of his magic with a very creative outfit of his own. Loved the experience. read more

Amazing service today!! We had a pleasure of mr Joe helping us today and was so fantastic at his new job!!:)). We drove from Northern Arizona where it's 80F and gorgeous this time of year/ to find the original camelback rd store closed:/ the internet said they were open until 7 pm so our 2 hour drive to the 115 F weather couldn't go to waste!!:)) We found this factory shop and were so impressed with the selection of suits and sports coats my already attractive husband really likes so he can be even more dashing;). Wow, what amazing service! My boyfriend and I were on the hunt for his first quality suit, but we were really on a budget. After a very frustrating experience with a couple of other outlets at Assembly Row (*cough* J. Crew and Banana Republic), we went in here just to look, assuming it was way outside of our price range. First off, gorgeous store. Pristine, well organized, and overall just pleasing to walk into. We were greeted immediately by Jerry, who offered his help but gave us some space to look around. I honestly didn't want to waste his time; we weren't intending to buy, after all. After scanning through the (vast) selections of colors, fits, and fabrics, it became clear that we needed some serious guidance. Jerry was available, so I asked him to help us choose a color and fit. Our criteria was "blue suit," so we clearly had no idea what we were doing. Jerry quickly found the exact color and texture my boyfriend was looking for on the first try, and wow, it looked really great on him. The guy really knows what styles look great on people! He told us about the great deals that are available, and informed us about what accessories would look best with the suit. Remember how originally we weren't going to buy the suit? Spoiler alert: we totally did. I wish so much that we could have afforded their best deal by purchasing 2 suits, and I absolutely would have if we had even a little more money to spare. Jerry definitely worked with us on the price, and we only ended up spending a little bit over our original price limit. He didn't dismiss us because we didn't have oodles of money to spend, and even recommended a couple tailors that would give us a great deal. I went in here today around 2pm with my husband and when we walked in, we were not greeted. This is not the first time employee did not greet us. Not a huge deal, when my husband saw the employee on the floor, he asked where he could find hats. Rather than tell or show us where they were, he said "well first off, hi, how are you?" attempting to chastise my husband about not greeting him. I don't know if he understands how ridiculously rude and unprofessional he is. It is his responsibility to greet and speak to customers as we walk in. Had he done that, there would be no need for him to feel any type of way. We immediately left and came right back to let him know that he didn't provide good customer service and that is was rude for him to say that to us. Rather than him try to salvage this, he blamed us for not speaking to him, blew us off and condescendingly said "have a good day." We are not employed at Brooks Brothers, he is!!! Good selection and prices. I located a suit jacket on the 80% off rack and an "8" on the tag. The people running the register (who were apologetic) said it had been sorted wrong when the price rang up as 50% off. I understand that this happens from time to time, but there was an identical jacket also on this rack and the tag indicated this 80% discount on both. Both cashiers refused to abide by the marked price. I did grudgingly purchase the item as I was in a bit of a rush and it did seem to be well made, but it cost me over $100 more as a result. read more

If I was the Brooks Brother district or regional manager, I would be appalled by the behavior of the store manager (or assistant store manager) and his staff at the Assembly Row factory store location. I had purchased a suit from the Wrentham factory store location over the weekend but decided that I really didn't need another suit. Since I live closer to the Assembly Row location, I decided to return the suit there. When it became known that I was there to return the suit I was greeted with what one would consider sass. The store manager (or assistant store manager--I wish I got his name) took up my transaction and asked if I wanted to look around and see if there was anything I wanted to exchange the suit for, but I said "no" (I really just wanted to be in and out after shopping for awhile at the Wrentham location over the weekend). After making a wisecrack about needing to return the suit at Wrentham and that they did not carry the suit at the Assembly Row location, I became a little perplexed as I assumed all locations carried the same merchandise. One of the store associates then said that I should exchange it for something at their store and then return it at Wrentham. That just did not make sense to me so I ignored her. Anyway, I showed him my receipt, and the store manager then said I would need to either give him my driver's license or "blood sample" to prove my identity. He said it was a joke but I was not laughing. He said it would be a moment as he looked up the merchandise in the system. I asked if he needed my Brooks Brother card and he said no. As I walked away to browse he started singing how Wrentham didn't know what they were doing. I was ready to leave so I circled back and the guy was still wrapping up my transaction. I really think he wanted me to exchange the suit for something else and was waiting but I had had enough. All the time I was circling their wrap stand I overheard the store manager (or assistant store manager) talking in some fake British accent making jokes with the store associates laughing. I really did not think it was very professional behavior. I came back to sign my slips and he casually mentioned that I could catch him at Kowloon (or something that sounded like it, and I really hope he wasn't saying "Kowloon" as a reference to my Chinese ethnicity) on the weekends for amateur comedy open mic night. I was thinking, no way, as his jokes were--as I felt--at my expense. I quickly signed my slips and exited. In the end I am very disappointed in the behavior of management and the associates at this store location. The behavior exhibited was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. I think after the fail of the first joke, the associate should have become more serious as I was not having it. I am not sure why there was attitude and sass but that is not how to behave in front of a customer. The behavior is not representative of the Brooks Brother brand. I would highly recommend that the management and sales staff go through training. Everything flows from the top. The manager exhibited poor behavior and I was extremely appalled that the associate was comfortable enough to display the same sort of behavior in front of her manager. I certainly would not be shopping at this location again. read more

Not only that, but they helped me find the best deals on everything I wanted. Gary M. did a fantastic job today. My wife and sister asked me to go into the store to select a suit for my youngest daughter's wedding. I tried a jacket on and Gary approached not happy with the fit. He measured me and suggested another size to accommodate my frame. He then went to select a suit, but could not find the required size. He came up with a different plan and found a suit at another store. He then started thinking about shirts, ties and accessories appropriate for the occasion. This is my favorite store. It's always such a treat to be here. Not only are the clothes pretty terrific, but also the people who work here are real experts. They remember your face, sometimes even your name. They don't hesitate to honor advertised prices even when it's a simple store mistake. And the selection of clothes is a real motivator to continue shopping here. I've probably spent $1,000 here, and I'll happily spend another grand over time. The service at this place is great. My boyfriend and I are on the hunt for his first real suit and started here. We realized immediately that we had no idea what we were doing. Cesar helped us figure out sizing, taught us what the right fit is, told us what suit styles are the most versatile and fashionable, and went above and beyond to find a suit to fit my boyfriend's needs (despite him apparently being a very unusual size). Plus he did all of this seamlessly while serving multiple other people and running the cash register. Unfortunately we are on a tight budget and, through no fault of Cesar's, none of the lowest price suits were available in my boyfriend's size. When we had to explain this he was very understanding and even gave us some tips about how to cut costs. Though we weren't lucky this time, we are planning to save up and try again later. We are still looking elsewhere, but we are realizing nothing can really compare to a Brooks Brothers suit (factory or not). read more

Had a horrible experience at this Brooks Brothers location, especially with Gary, who apparently is in some sort of retail management position, but speaks to people as if he is a running a fortune 500 company. I purchased two suits from them in March, both my normal 42R size, of which I own about 7 suits from the Brooks outlet, as well as the main store. I have never had a problem with the consistency of fit so i didn't try both on. When I put one of the suits on for the first time, it was much tighter than usual. Clearly, this may have been some sort of manufacturing oversight. Not a huge deal, I figured Id exchange it for a different suit that fit. I had the receipt and was within the 60 day window. When processing the exchange Gary cited a "policy" that suits could not be returned if the tags were removed. I reminded him that it was a store associate that removed the tags, so I didn't feel that was fair. This is a practice that I have seen them do every time. He rudely denied my exchange, and kept asking in a rhetorical tone why I didn't try it on. Not something I should have to explain because I am within their policy. Feeling that this couldn't be true, I called BB customer service and was assured that no such policy exists, and they would honor the exchange. They sent me prepaid shipping labels and I am sending it in. I cant possibly understand the motivation of Gary to lie to a customer. I almost exclusively wear Brooks suits, and have done so for years. I even refer people to try their suits, because I think they are a great value. Very disappointed, but thanks to a great interaction with Christina Barnett in customer service I wont be stuck with a suit that doesn't fit. Wont be returning to this location. read more
