While the prices here aren't always the cheapest in the area, there are some notable winners that we've come back for more than once. First off, their bread and bagels have the lowest prices in Cedar Park. One loaf of bread or a bag of 6 bagels cost $2. Randalls easily charges $2.50 per loaf or $4 for 6 bagels. Next are their wines. Now I'm not a wine snob, but I can appreciate a Peju, Oberon, or a Sequoia Grove. Though the wines at Aldi's aren't anywhere near the caliber of wines those wineries produce, I did recently find a single vineyard Malbec from Argentina for $8. It surprised me. I would get it again. They do have some name brand staples and they're priced similar to other supermarkets in the area. I would stay away from their meats though as there are better deals elsewhere. Their shopping cart system requires a quarter to unlock the chain mechanism, but you get it back when you return your cart. They also don't have bags so you must bring your own. They do have empty boxes you can use to pack your groceries back home.

Wasn't too successful making dosas within such a small cooking vessel, so I ended up making dosa pancakes instead. The dosas are served on a leaf positioned in a plastic tray. I cruised every aisle, carefully weaving back and forth, back-and-forth down every aisle until I got to the back of the store,.I noticed fruits and vegetables and some unusual ones like aloe vera and pearl onions. I have actually heard of pearl onions, but I don't know that I've ever seen a pearl onion in real life. So that's pretty cool. Ne, net, visiting the big bizarre farmers market was like going on a tour of a very unique grocery store. Totally loved it.... My cashier was very pleasant and she rang me up very quickly and packed my items into a bag and I was off. The staff was very friendly and one of the things that I have to point out is that the store was super clean, which I enjoyed. Prices were extremely affordable. I purchased turmeric, wheat vermicelli and peach green tea.

They had sold out of the product I wanted, but the owner (who was very pleasant and helpful) told me she was receiving a new shipment later in the day. I returned the following day. She not only remembered me as I entered the store, but ensured I was able to buy the black caviar I wanted.
