Given dogs aren't allowed on the Lassen trails, it keeps me at ease knowing they are within reach. It makes life easier with full hookups. The pups can enjoy the comfort of the trailer while checking off trails we have yet to conquer. This park is a bit different from the norm. They promote saving electricity and that's a good thing. However, they do expect you follow the rules by refraining from using high electric consuming appliances such as your air conditioner. Otherwise, pay an additional fee.

We got in late so check-in was in the restaurant. The RV park is behind the post office. The restaurant was really good and the servers are very nice. Many reviews mention a mean old man that works there and it's true. He is grumpy. The price is reasonable and they don't over-charge for dogs. We will be going back.

Room is spacious, even for a party of 4. There is also an area outside to lounge as well as an area for dogs, although the area for dogs is not well kept. Luckily, there is Chester Park about 5 minutes a walk away, which is super dog friendly. Parking lot contains EV chargers. Noise-wise, we stayed in a room on the first floor, and you could hear the people upstairs walking around. You can also hear noise outside as well.

I didn't get her name, but she was incredibly nice and made me feel welcome after a long day of hiking. Just exuded warmth. I got there right after the restaurant was closing and she still offered a drink or dessert if I wanted. And was more than happy to get me a giant bag of ice to restock my supplies for the morning. -The room had everything I needed - big bed, soft pillows, lights and a fan that worked, a great AC/Heater unit. Showers were hot and toilet was new. Fridge and freezer worked great. -the lack of WiFi wasn't an issue because there was just enough cell service so I could still be on my phone at the end of the night posting some pictures on my social media and chatting with a couple friends about my day. -It was very quiet - no issues with noise from outside or from the neighbors. -to top it off, they offer the ability to pre-order a deli sandwich for 9 bucks for 8am pickup before your hike day. The convenience factor alone was great - not to mention the price, which was about half of what the visitor center wanted to charge. And then - what a big delicious sandwich it was! Fresh carved turkey and cheese with all the fixings and fresh bread. Could the towels have been nicer and bigger? Yes. Could the bed have been a little softer? Yes. But at the price you pay - and the proximity to the heart of Lassen - this felt almost like a steal. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

I just got back from a second annual camping trip to Juniper Lake campground. You do need to bring…read moreyour own potable water, and there are only vault toilets. But if you can tolerate that, you will be rewarded with access to a delightful lake that has many wonderful hikes around it, beautiful trees, and amazing sunsets. There are sizeable bear boxes to store your food in, lots of room for a tent or three, fire rings, and picnic tables. Most sites have amazing shade and all are any easy walk to the lake, if not right on it. Note that the last 6-7 miles of road are gravel & rutted in places. Just allow extra time & be willing to drive very slowly at times. It's worth it! Try to make time to hike up to Crystal Lake. It's steep, but there are lots of shady places to rest on the way, and the lake is blissful for swimming in. There are about 18 campsites, most of which have great privacy and shade, and none of which are far from the comfort station. :) and at $12 a night, this campground is a jewel! Come early in the week (and day) to get the most selection. It can fill up, and only the group sites are reservable.

The stereo doesn't work, nor the speakers. I called while we were on the water and they were aware of this. The seats had bird poop on them in multiple areas, the seats are ripped, and the floor of the boat on the drivers side started started to become saturated with water as if there is a leak below it. I'm all for a boat that's well seasoned, as long as we are at least given a heads up prior to making the decision. If we had known the boats condition prior we would have probably skipped.

This is for the marina and it was great!…read more We got a pontoon and had a blast. We even caught a 22" rainbow trout. The lady at the office was so friendly and knowledgeable. The boat man was helpful as well. Easy in and out of their marina with the pontoon. These boats can go fast enough.
