OVERVIEW: I came here with a dinner-time pizza craving after an evening of ice skating in the adjacent and connecting building. Ample parking, and even designated Brooksy's parking spots to ensure patrons don't end up parking super far away due to saturated Ice Center guests. AMBIANCE: Very chill area. Walked up the steps through heavy wooden doors to the bar area and people playing table shuffleboard. I walked over to the main dining area, which was plentiful, and there were families and groups dining, watching one of the many TVs, or watching the hockey practice going on across the glass. SERVICE: I placed my takeout order with Jennifer, who helped me make some executive decisions for what my 10 year-old might like. I waited about 25 minutes for my food (no problem, she let me sit in a booth to wait and I browsed the internet, watched TV, and watched bits of hockey). To be fair she told me the wait would be about that time, so she did a great job setting the expectations. When our to-go order came out, The owner, John (?) came out, apologized for the delay, and made me aware that the pizza cooked and had a hole in it. I was perplexed at the disclosure, but when he opened the pizza I chuckled because there truly was no problem. Perhaps a thin spot in the dough when thinning it out, but I had zero issue with it. I tried to negate his need to apologize for anything but he insisted on making it right and gave us a far too generous gift certificate for a future visit. I told him it was unnecessary, but he insisted. I CANNOT speak highly enough of the attention to detail and customer service this place has! FOOD: Absolutely amazing! We got a Buffalo Chicken Pizza and it was a perfect flavor meld of buffalo wings and pizza. The cheese was perfectly gooey, the chicken was delicious, the crust had a great light char on the undercarriage, and man, I am not one to eat a lot of pizza crusts (usually they end up with the texture of cardboard) but holy moly this crust was good! Crispy on the outside, firm enough under the bulk of the pizza, but soft and tender on the inside! Best crust I've had, ever. We also got medium wings, perfectly cooked, tender insides, crispy outsides, and flavored well. They also hooked it up with plenty of blue cheese, carrots, and celery. My daughter got chicken tenders, and she demolished them, lol. OVERALL: Absolutely recommend. This has the vibes of a laidback bar and grill where everyone knows everyone else, and the fact that it's attached to my home ice rink is such a great plus! Service on Sundays is abysmal at best. The waitresses can be rude and act as though you needing food or drink is an inconvenience for them. It's often hard to get them to acknowledge you and take an order in a timely fashion. Tonight the girl actually snapped at us when she walked up, and had a slur to her speech. We are usually in there every Sunday after hockey and are happy to spend money on drinks and food, because it's conveniently located with the rink. More often than not, it's a challenge to get our drinks and food in a timely fashion. Every week we try to give another chance, and just try to have a good time, but getting literally snapped at today has ruined it for us. We stopped in for a late night meal. I wanted to try is as this a hockey bar and I love my VGK. The bar had a few people in it and the lighting was extremely dark. There was no one to greet us so the bartender told us to sit anywhere. We had trouble reading the menu. The AC didn't work as it was humid inside. The restaurant was extremely smoky as if their hood system didn't work. We ordered the hattrick breakfast. The serving was healthy but had to have my eggs sent back as they were not cooked enough. The bacon was on the burnt side and the potatoes were mediocre. The pancakes were good as they were light and fluffy. We also ordered the Brooksy's burger. It was good but the fries were somewhat frozen. The server made things right with the eggs and fries. Maybe it was a bad night as our server was very nice. read more

Have come here a few times now, and Im impressed with this bar! The dining area overlooks the ice rink - so always a lot of entertainment. Service is always consistently good, and they have a great menu. Last night we had the option of dinner menu, specials, breakfast or the vegan menu! Very chill bar attached to the local ice rink. Went there late at night and was actually surprised that they were still open to be honest. Sat at the bar, ordered some beer and some food (a blackened chicken wrap for me and steak and eggs for my friend) and just got to chatting with the bartender who was extremely friendly and personable. The french fries were really good and salty, the wrap was tasty, filling, and had a pretty spicy sauce in it, and the music was very chill. I almost felt like I was at a small bar in the Caribbean, just winding down the night. The staff here seem to have a really good vibe with each other and it seems more familial than a typical PT's or other local chain bar. Quite a surprising find and one I wouldn't find checking out again some time. read more

Was in Vegas for a soccer tournament and was looking for somewhere to grab dinner and watch some sports on the TV and came across Brooksy's (on Yelp of course)! OMG. Everything is worth ordering. I wish I had a month here to keep coming back for more. The ambience is really cool. This is the first time I have ever been to a sports themed restaurant with a direct view into a live working hockey rink! We got to watch two team practicing while we also watched ncaa basketball on the TV's (6 of them!). They are open 24 hours and still manage to keep the quality high. They have a breakfast menu with omelets, eggs anyway you want them, pancakes, and even a Nutella stuffed waffle. They also have great sandwich dishes like Philly Cheesesteaks, and French Dip, meatball or Italian sausage. They even have soups in the menu to warm you up. We started off with buffalo wings and they were really delicious. The sauce actually tasted house made and had a really nice balance of sweet and heat. All that said, the star of the show was the pizza. We ordered a large Butcher Block and could only eat half! It was phenomenal. They have a full bar, and a couple of good beer options as well. The restaurant side was definitely family friendly and our waitress Jennifer was amazing and kept bringing us refills of the Mug root beer. Give them a chance! read more

I didn't dine while I was here but instead came in for a few drinks in the early afternoon. It was a relaxed environment and even though we only ordered beers the staff was attentive. Tons of seating at tables and at the bar and lots of TVs so it's the perfect spot to enjoy a game. I thought it was really unique that it overlooked an ice rink next door so you could watch a scrimmage game. Hockey isn't my thing, but it was really interesting to see! I was off the Strip visiting friends in town so that's how we ended up at Brooksy's. I wouldn't make a special trip off the trip just to come to this place though. Drinks were on special and lots of cold beers to chose from. The restaurant was clean including the bathrooms. Came here during the middle of the day, they were not busy but they had exactly the laid back environment that we were looking for, with extra cold beer! Wait staff was friendly and checked up on us to make sure we were taken care of. Plenty of sitting options, lots of tvs and shuffle board table. We were looking forward to a nice lunch including some poker playing and the bartender/server was so rude to me. I am a very polite person and very respectful . She snapped at me and told me to go sit . My son ( 28) went to the bar to order a soda and she snapped at him too . She said " can't you see I'm busy ... I can't help you ." Fortunately another server , Angela , saw this and offered her help . She was very nice and is exactly the kind of employee I'd want at my business .The food is very good and aside from the very anti-social lady behind the bar , the experience turned from bad to better . The service by the staff and bartenders are top notch. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff makes the whole ordering and dining experience well worth it. This location is pretty secure when you come after hours. When you buzz in for entry after hours, the staff opens the door pretty quickly and you don't have to wait too long. By far the best bar/restaurant Ive been to. The music and the vibe was on point right when you walk in. You feel welcomed and comfortable. Our Jen server was amazingg- we didn't have to ask for anything she just made sure we had it. We got to chat with the owner John-such a cool guy and was very friendly! The food tho! Mmmm! We got the brooksys pizza and a custom pizza -both were delicious! The Caesar salad was fresh !! But the real star of the meal was the clam chowder! Who knew a sports bar would have one of the best clam chowders I've ever had ?!? Sooooo good! Apparently they may it fresh every Fridays! So if you like clam chowder come Friday! This place has been around for awhile and i have randomly popped in and out of here throughout the years for my short end of the night shenanigans- but lately I've deliberately taken the time to come in, get some food and soak in the atmosphere. ATMOSPHERE- Well, if with a name like Brooksy's you're expecting to walk down a dark set of basement stairs only to have to knock on the door and a pair of eyes asks you for the code word to get in.....you're WRONG. This was an inviting, fun atmosphere where i felt a really comfortable vibe. SERVICE- I didn't encounter any real service issues, but the place gets very very busy and in turn sometimes you will wait longer to be served. FOOD- One of the times i went there was a VGK (Vegas Golden Knights) game playing and they had an all you can eat spread. This gave me a perfect chance to sample their wings, pizza, salad, garlic knots, and cookies. Although these are only a few items on the menu they were very good (especially the pizza as you will hear many times in many other reviews). This is a solid hang out spot, If there's a happy hour here no one went out of their way to make it known (a few years ago they didn't have one to my recollection) If you see me there, we can have a shot & toast to another great Las Vegas local bar. We last minute decided to eat here with our entire softball team after a tournament. I called ahead to let them know our party of 25 was headed their way. They greeted us with smiles and the table was already set up with water. Food was amazing. I personally had the thin crust pizza and it was top notch! We all had individual tickets and a lot of kids. Brooksy's Bar was the spot for post beers and some adult rec roller hockey league. All the times been never really ordered food. So here we go. I came with some of my hockey OHANA to watch the Vegas Golden Knights and USA hockey games on television. I ended up ordering the Zamboni Calzone. I got mixed emotions about. First impression talk about solid looking Calzone. It takes up half the plate, perfect golden brown color all around the outside, and looks like Da bomb. When I cut it in half felt little bit of let down. The filling was not very hot and overall the filling just had no wow for me. If anything hoping to see cheese melting out of it or something grab my attention. The dough itself really enjoyed and could see myself killing pizza next visit. The menu has good diversity from breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Nothing really fancy just ur basic Italian menu. Honest the best thing about Brooksy's! Truly hockey bar!!! 1 star is being generous. If you want a place to come enjoy decent food and horrible customer service, you have Brooksy's. This was my first time coming to this place for one of the Knights games and I had high expectations given the reviews and the ambiance of the place (big tv's, volume, and decor for Knights) however I was more than let down. Our server attended to us maybe 3 times the whole night. I completely understand if one is busy, because I work in the restaurant industry myself. However, I saw many other servers attending to their tables, getting refills, working their ass off. My server on the other hand, was walking past our table and standing by the food window chatting it up with the cooks, lingering around while her coworkers are actually providing good customer service by engaging and actually serving their tables. It took us 10-15 minutes to even get acknowledged. At some point I even questioned if we were even assigned a server at all because of her lack of attention. The owner of the place seemed nice and funny at first, as he seemed to have a bright personality, even handing out Golden Knights prizes with raffle tickets he had us write our names on. Turns out he was only pulling out names of people he knew so they could get the prizes (I physically saw him pull 2 names out and kind of hush them away to the side when he thought no one was looking- except me). I noticed one of names he pulled out but didn't call was a friend of mine sitting at our table. Honestly just a scummy place, I'm sure it's only open because the regulars (aka the owners friends) are being pampered to kiss his ass. There are many great places out there that show the Knights game and don't cheat you out of proper customer service and winning fair prizes. Don't spend your hard earned money here. read more
