The food was great and well priced. The service was also good, the food was made to order, and it was not a long wait.

We ordered the shrimp and grits and the étouffée, and both were sooo good. Honestly 10/10. Everything was full of flavor and absolutely hit the spot. Definitely one of our favorite meals from the trip and a place I'd totally come back to!

My favorite thing we got was definitely the veggie red beans and rice. It was very balanced and cooked well. I was very excited to try their shrimp and grits, but it wasn't that great. The grits were quite grainy and didn't taste cheesy as described. They weren't creamy at all and really tasted like plain barely salted grits that could have been cooked a bit longer. The shrimp was flavorful and the sear on the outside was nice, but they were quite overcooked and tough. There was a much higher ratio of grits to shrimp and gravy than you would want, especially given the grits were not that good. However, my husband absolutely loved the chicken pasta and said it was one of the best he has ever had. They definitely can make good food but I would skip the shrimp and grits. The lemonade I ordered was also incredibly watery. The service was efficient and good overall, but very impersonal and bare minimum. Definitely efficiency prioritized over true dinner service. Not bad but not what I expected.

However, the flavor profile, size, and cook was phenomenal. Rockefeller was amazing. The seasoning didn't over shadow the Oysters but my god it was good. I tried the Oyster juice and almost melted. I could have literally ate that alone. She also had 1/2 schell and Bienville. Those had an intense mushrooms flavor with a mushy texture. Wasn't the biggest fan. Bayou Platter sampler was great. It had all the delicious rice sides you could want. I indulged significantly. I liked the jambalaya but the Red beans and rice was a favorite of both of ours. It was seasoned to perfection. I assumed the shrimp would be large but they served baby shrimp. All in all delicious. Their oyster game is top tier. A jem on a sea of oyster establishments. Our waitress was great. She was through and explained everything. I loved her red neck tattoo. She was such a delight.

Located right on Bourbon Street, we were on the second level and could step out onto the balcony and overlook the city. The staff was very friendly, but the food ended up being just alright. I got the blackened chicken Alfredo, and the Alfredo sauce was pretty bland, but the chicken was very seasoned and tender. Definitely a little gimmicky, but I don't regret stopping

My son had the shrimp poor boy and I had the 1/2 & 1/2 Oysters Rockefeller, along with some alligator bits. Everything was delicious and the people were super nice. Everyone in New Orleans is nice it seems. You can find Mr. Ed's just off Bourbon Street a bit, and it's 2 stories with an outside sitting area that is super charming. Highly, highly recommend this spot.

I ordered the shrimp po' boy, which was around $22, and was surprised it didn't come with fries. Usually places either include them or at least mention that they're separate when ordering. We also started with the charbroiled oysters, and whatever topping or seasoning was on them had this weird crunchy, crackling texture that literally felt like it was cracking against my teeth when I bit into it. I don't know if it was burnt cheese or what, but I personally could not eat more than one. The service also wasn't great during our visit. After our food was dropped off, our waiter never checked back in. I had ordered fries separately once I realized they didn't come with the sandwich, but after waiting about 10 minutes with no update, I finally got up and walked to the bar to cancel them because I was almost done eating at that point. Maybe we came at an off time, but overall it just wasn't the experience we were hoping for and probably not somewhere we'd return.
