Original: I used to come to this location every month when I was working at an office job in San Francisco and I had to look very sharp. I went with a random stylist because Marco wasn't available. Marco has always treated me like anyone else and not made me feel uncomfortable for how I want my haircut. I appreciate that because I run into a lot of issues at barber shops. People don't always feel comfortable with me being transgender. He does an amazing job and I think of him as an artist with hair. My stylist today was immediately uncomfortable with me. I tried to show her some example photos of previous haircuts Marco had given me. She just stared at me and didn't speak. She only cut the sides of my hair. She complained to me the entire time that my head was in the wrong position or that I was making micro movements. At one point she snipped my skin near my right ear with the clippers. It seemed like she was uncomfortable touching my head. I didn't want to continue. She asked if I was satisfied and I said I was because I was so uncomfortable. She pulled the bib off and I started to get up. Then she tried to "fix" the side without even saying anything. She made it look worse, like it was cut by a lawnmower. Then she complained more about me moving. She complained so much I was holding my breath in fear and embarrassment. Mind you, she has six inch fake nails and can barely hold the clippers. She didn't cut the top of my hair. The whole haircut was less than ten minutes. I asked specifically for a cut that would grow out nicely, and she didn't touch it.
