Food is delicious and portioned well! The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. This is my second time eating here and many more to come, a must try!

    Inside the California Burrito

At the intersection of Clairemont Mesa Blvd and Mercury. It shares the corner center with Yiko Yiko, Subway, Sizzling Pot King, Matcha Cafe Maiko, Crab Town, and Chaba. Diagonally across from Cheetahs (for those who know the area but none of the stores). It does share the parking lot with a lot of stores, but there were always at least a few spots open even when busy. Service here was fast and friendly. There was a TV to watch while I waited for food. California Burrito was the size of my forearm. Food was good, but the real MVP was their red salsa.

Brothers 3 is a great little hole-in-the-wall Mexican spot. The food was good, and I loved the charm of the small plaza it's in--there are other cute and cool places nearby to check out as well. The vibe inside gave me that old-school Mexican dining experience, which made the meal even more enjoyable. It's a bit out of my usual commute, so I don't know if I'll be able to visit often, but I really enjoyed my time here and would definitely recommend it to others. If you're in the area and craving some solid Mexican food with a nostalgic feel, Brothers 3 is worth a visit!

Food was all excellent, got a variety of breakfast burritos and nothing disappointed Tastes fresh and house made all around. Salsas pretty standard nothing surprising but overall quality place.

I had a very good chile relleno burrito from this third Brother's Mexican Food location. The burrito came with one chile relleno stuffed with white cheese, Mexican rice, and refried beans wrapped in a butter flour tortilla. The burrito was very tasty. The relleno tasted good, the rice was nice, and the beans flavorful. The only flaw was that there was some burnt rice in the burrito, likely scrapped off the bottom of the pan, but other than that, it was very good and filling. They make good hot sauces here too. I tried a couple of them. They offer free tortilla chips in a small container if you eat in. Service was very nice at the counter. Only inside seating is available.

Jesus was very helpful in answering all my questions. I went ahead and ordered a carne asada taco, beans, and an horchata. Everything was super tasty and it always feels good supporting local!

We tried a variety of delicious dishes. The molcajete was reasonably priced and quite tasty. Ceviche presentation was on par with a top chef. Hard shelled tacos fresh and crunchy. I highly recommend the potato taco. The tostada shell was freshly fried for our taco salad. Highly recommend the rice and beans. As good as mom's!!

Their carne asada tacos are tender and flavorful, and the homemade tortillas are a game-changer. The service is always friendly and attentive.

    Machaca breakfast plate

The machaca breakfast plate is one of the best I've had. Goes well with the green salsa and a few roasted poblanos. Clean simple sitting area. Friendly service.

Amazing street tacos and complimentary salsa. Check out that fish in the front- delicious!

Huge portions, attentive staff, and tasty food! The California burrito was big enough for us to share and the ceviche tostada was made well

Super dark and I mean dark, it'll take a minute for your eyes to adjust. Tapas style menu, we were a party of 4 and ordered: Squash blossom Relleno - it's the flower part of a squash plant and stuffed with mushroom duxelles which resembles a meat mixture with squash succotash. Outside is a corn tempura with a tomato base sauce. Pulpo-grilled octopus, one of the best texture and perfectly grilled skin with a chewy yet soft interior. The sauce has a slight kick and crunch from the corn nuts. Crab corn doughnut- this is their specialty and we were about to skip out but glad we didn't. The brioche bun had a donut batter with lumps of crab salad and corn mixture on top. El Festin- perfect for our party of 4 because it was a platter full of 4 Cheese quesadilla, 4 shrimp, 4 chicken slices, 1 jalapeño bacon wrap, ribeye. Flan-we should have each ordered one ourselves! Great flavors and texture, the top had ancient chocolate soil and had crispy corn nuts. Different but yummy. Overall, delicious food that came out so quick, great ambiance, we celebrated our birthdays and were each gifted candles with our names on the label. Truly amazing from beginning to end. Street parking only. The spots on the same block are metered but if you drive down to the second street towards residential, it's free.

Heaven and Hell theme that would make Miguel de Cervantes proud. Goths love and would love this place. The service was great as was the food. A small rotating menu with many treasures to choose from and many items to share. The plating is very unique. A bit on the pricy side but it is worth it for the experience. You need to go at least once. A good place to bring peeps from out of town as well if the budget provides. Reservations are recommended. My only real gripes are the parking (not really their fault), the prices being a bit high and the noisy and dim atmosphere, but the other perks make up for a lot of this. Also, be careful of the candles, one dripped on my date and messed up her dress.

The view alone is worth the trip,…read moreyou're right on the water looking out at the San Diego skyline, and honestly it feels like a mini escape without leaving the city. We grabbed a table for our whole crew, kids included, and settled in for what turned out to be a really memorable evening. Now, no meal is perfect, and ours had a funny little hiccup. We ordered the shrimp salad, and it showed up... shrimp-less. Just a salad. We laughed about it because hey, things happen, but what really made the night was how it got handled. Our server Erika noticed something was off before we even said much, and she jumped right on it. Not only did she get the dish fixed and out to us fast, she also surprised the kids with free dessert, no fuss, no attitude, just genuine hospitality. That's the kind of service that turns a small mistake into a story you actually want to tell. The rest of the meal was great too. Fresh flavors, a menu that leans into that coastal Mexican-meets-California vibe, and a setting that makes everything taste a little better. Sunset hit while we were there and the whole patio just glowed. It's one of those spots where you're paying for the experience as much as the food, and honestly, both delivered.

Decided to finally mix things up this time, and it did not disappoint! It's definitely an upscale Mexican spot, but the main draw right off the bat is the location. We got hooked up with a waterfront table, and the views of downtown SD and the Coronado Bridge are unreal. Here's what we ordered: Queso Fundido: Started with this and it was delicious. Famous Fajitas (Shrimp & Steak): Hands down the highlight. The meat was super well-seasoned and the charred veggies added so much flavor. Tampiqueña: Really solid and flavorful. Note on the chips: The chips here are a little different than what you usually get at a typical neighborhood Mexican joint--a bit thicker/different texture--but still tasty! All in all, everything was fabulous. If you're stuck in a routine of only going to C Level, definitely give Coasterra a try! We're super glad we finally did.

It was grilled perfectly here! The chunks were big enough so you get the squid flavor.
