Totally Happened upon this spot on accident just looking for food on the drive home. SO HAPPY WE DID. Our breakfast burrito was so delicious! Homemade tortilla was to die for and the breakfast burrito was packed and green salsa was delish. The service was friendly and fast and to top it all off.... [[HIGHLIGHT]]LEO and First Responder friendly!!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] IMO you can't get better than that. GREAT food, GREAT service & positive vibes for the community Can't wait to return, CA burritos! Thank you!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Located in an unassuming plaza, this burrito spot is easy to miss.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They were playing Pokemon on the TV.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's limited window bar seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] No water cups cause their machine wasn't working. Despite the pretty high reviews, I was disappointed. Their prices are cheap with big portions but the chicken asada burrito I had was not it. The meat was salty and the tortilla was too hard. I couldn't finish it and ended up trashing the rest.

This was the first time I didn't enjoy my breakfast burrito. It was tasted weird and I could not finish my burrito. I have tried California Burritos before and it has been always quite delicious. They serve up pretty decent size burritos so it's worth the money. I ordered two breakfast burritos and sadly they both did not taste good. I really think it was the bacon that tasted strange. The service was great, it was unfortunately my burrito that knocked down my experience.

Our go to for breakfast burritos. Price is decent, a little cheaper than most places serving burritos. The portion is huge. Highly recommended! Service is quick if you arrive early around 7 am on the weekends. [[HIGHLIGHT]]But this place is busy on weekdays because they serve mostly medical employees because of the location.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean and tidy, inside and out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Few chairs and tables outside. Bar counter inside with a few chairs as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I think this place is perfect to introduce someone to authentic Mexican food. I'm thinking people who arent from SoCal, I'm thinking people who haven't really eaten Mexican food, I'm thinking people who don't really have an expansive pallet. And I say that because I think the food was solid but not enough to have me running back for more. I had the lengua y labios burrito, which I know isn't a popular choice, but I know if someone can make that then for me automatically the rest of their dishes must be lit. This one is simply alright. It wasn't gamey, which is a plus, but the taste was much more mellow than what I was accustomed to. Sometimes it melted in my mouth and other times it wasn't as silky. It sort of scratched my itch but definitely left me wanting a little bit more. I came on a Wednesday night around 5:30 PM with a friend who ordered the Carne Asada tacos and he was more than pleased with his dish. I had a bite, and it was definitely the better of the two. There's a few parking spots right in front but it's extremely tough because it's all shared with four or five other businesses. Plus the highway entrance is right there and there's always a log jam of cars trying to get in and out. The staff are super friendly and menu has a ton of options so you'll definitely find something for everyone! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Couple of spots to sit. About 6 inside and then there are a few picnic tables outside too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We were in San Diego and wanted to try a restaurant we'd never been to before. I found California Burrito and decided to stop by for lunch. It's a hole-in-the-wall type of place with a few tables outside for dining and some counter-style seating inside. It seems like a spot where most people order takeout. My boyfriend and I both ordered the California Burrito. It comes with carne asada, French fries, guacamole, sour cream, and shredded cheese. The burrito was huge and easily enough for two servings. If we had known, we would have shared one. It was a great deal at around $12. The burrito was delicious and honestly the best California burrito I've had. The carne asada was tender and well-seasoned. The French fries were very crispy and were the skinny kind, similar in size to McDonald's fries. The red and green salsas were also really good. I like spicy food, so I ate my burrito with the red salsa. We shared a horchata, which wasn't anything special, but was still refreshing. Customer service was good. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I would definitely return here again next time I visit San Diego.

My daughter had a baby at Sharp which was about a half mile walk away from California Burritos, so I came twice to get lunch. I tried a salmon bowl one day and a shrimp bowl the next. They both were super fresh and made me feel like I was eating somewhat healthy because I'm trying to add fiber and protein in my diet. They were friendly there and offered two different sauces. I tried both the first time, and the green one was a bit spicier than I had liked. The next time I just used the red one and it was just right. They seem like they're busy pretty often there, but the wait isn't very long. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are several tables outside to eat at if dining in and some counter space with stools to eat at inside as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu has many choices.

Quintessential SoCal Mexican Taco Shop food! On a recent trip to San Diego, I wanted some rolled tacos and a chorizo egg burrito for the morning. We stopped here on a whim, remembering from when we lived in Birdland many years ago! When we walked in we were immediately greeted. Our order was taken and was ready in about 5 minutes. We got back to my sisters in Tierrasanta and the food was still warm and delicious. The rolled tacos were great. They had a very good amount of avocado and cheese. I really liked their red hot sauce with it. The next morning their chorizo egg burrito was great! I love that they offer regular size and mini because the mini were perfect for a weekday morning. I will gladly come here again and may put it on my rotation when in town!

Just look at the size of that burrito!

You know how they say the best Mexican places are often the hole in the walls. This proves that point! It is not fancy but they have the best Ca Burritos I've ever had. They are huge. Took my friend and he had a chile relleno burrito and loved it.

This place is so good & fresh. Their meat is so flavorful and the tortilla is so thin, crispy and delicious. 10/10 recommend!

California Burritos is truly a great place and it seems to be a great place to work. All the team members are hard working, happy and grateful. The store front and interior is clean and spacious for a small group or quick bite but mainly Togo orders here. I appreciate this team making my order of 40 mini burritos for pick up this morning. My team at work loved them for breakfast and it tasted great! Highly recommend California Burritos for your next party or work celebration. The mini burritos came with chips and salsa. They came as a whole burrito but I cut them in half to serve more team members. Mini burritos have a good portion and price point is affordable. Thank you California Burritos!

Came here Sunday morning with a party of nine. There was already a line out the door when we arrived! AMBIANCE A small, no-frills burrito shop with limited outdoor seating. During peak hours, it's best to plan for takeout. It also looks like you can call in orders, which could save time when it's busy. FOOD I had the surf and turf burrito, and it was so good. The tortilla tasted freshly made--and if it's not, they definitely fooled me. The filling was flavorful and meaty, but the tortilla really made the whole thing stand out--perfectly chewy and simple in the best way. SERVICE Minimal interaction, but the staff were friendly and handled the crowd efficiently. Overall: If I'm ever in San Diego again, I'd definitely come back!

It's got the decor, chairs, and art to match. Jessica was our server and she was amazing! She gave us lots of suggestions on what to try and what is on the menu since it was my first time here. She recommended the bloody Mary flight so did grab that to try! We also ordered the biscuits and gravy to share and orange juice. The portions are so large! So I am glad we decided to share the biscuits and gravy but let me run down each thing. Bloody Mary Flight: Honestly every single one was amazing. My favorite was definitely the pickle Mary! Everything tasted so delicious and was garnished beautifully. Well worth the 22 dollars. Biscuits and Gravy: Absolute perfection of comfort food. The biscuits were so fluffy and well seasoned. The gravy was also soooo good, just like my mom makes. The sausage in it was also cooked so well and juicy. I've never tried mashed potatoes with the biscuits and gravy but it worked very well! Orange Juice: Not a fan really, not pulpy enough and I wasn't a fan of the flavor. Overall this is definitely a must visit! I will definitely be back.

This location is way smaller, but I get it, I can't compare this to Vegas. So the restaurant was small but quaint. It was a nice change to the hustle and bustle of the locations. The customer service was still great and our server took good care of us. My qualm was in the food quality. It just wasn't as well prepared as the other locations I've been to. The food seem to lack seasoning even though I get the same thing every time. I always get a banana brown sugar pancake, the sage fried chicken, and scrambled eggs. It was just so lackluster and I was so disappointed . My husband did enjoy his meal and his coffee (I think it was a French banana latte) was really good. My coffee was meh (I think it was the Indy Giddy Up). I'm not positive I would return to this location but maybe they just had an off day. Also at the time there was a lot of street construction. Parking is tight and you would need to prob pay for parking in the lot across the street if you can't find street parking.

From what I could tell, there was only the bartender, one server, and possibly the manager working the floor. There may have been another employee, but regardless, they handled the rush incredibly well. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and kept things moving despite being clearly understaffed. The place itself is super cute and has a really fun atmosphere. There are TVs everywhere, making it a great spot to catch a game, and they have a nice craft beer selection. What I ordered: * Chimichurri Sliders ($16) - One of their specials. You get two sliders with no fries, so I'm not sure how much of a "special" it really is. They were decent, but nothing memorable or worth going out of your way for. Overall, I'd definitely come back to grab a beer and watch a game because the vibe is great. Food-wise, though, I found it pretty mediocre for the price. Burgers are around $25 with fries, and the appetizers (or "bites") range from $18-$25.. I was still hungry after the sliders and wanted to order a side of fries, but they don't list sides or prices on the menu, so you have no idea what anything costs. I ended up passing because they only offer steak fries, which just aren't my favorite. One big bonus is that they're dog-friendly, which I always appreciate. If you're looking for a fun place to watch sports, enjoy a beer, and hang out with friends, I'd definitely recommend it. Just don't come expecting the food to be the highlight.
