We watched customer after customer leave in disgust because no food was coming out of the kitchen. We waited 90 minutes for entrees - the last 20 minutes of which we watched our food under the heat lamps. We had no place else to go as we were out of towners - otherwise we would have left. Besides some alright appetizers, everything else sucks. Me and my friend went there and the waiter forgot what drinks we ordered. So then we ordered our food, it took like 40 minutes and then they didn't even make my friends chips he ordered. Our water we got was slightly tinted red. Our waitress also had like 2 teeth but know I dont rate the restaurant bad because of that. I got a torilla burger but i mean it just sucked. I'd like to start this off on a positive note. Our server was excellent, very attentive. We walked in with our one year old son and asked for a high chair. The hostess offered to put a booster seat on a high top table chair . She didn't know they had high chairs... we cleared that up and sat. It took over an hour to get our food. Tables came in 30 minutes after us and were served and gone before we got our food. The food was very meh. I think the worst part of the experience besides the wait for the food was being seated near the kitchen. The staff in the kitchen was horribly unprofessional. They were cursing and shouting expletives, even calling customers "cheap f&$ks". We will never be back and do not recommend this place for anything other than drinks. Very impressed with our server last Tuesday night. (02/13/24). Regan was so kind and patient with us despite the place being packed out. She was attentive to our needs without being obtrusive and maintained a friendly rapport. I was using a gift card, and I did not have any cash on me, so when I paid my bill I apologized for not being able to leave a tip and said I would make it up to her next time I was in. I come to brothers almost every Tuesday for their $2 burgers. I love food and the deals. The service today was especially good though. Our server Julie was very friendly and our food came out very quick. Tuesday is typically a busy today for them cause of the burger deal so I plan on waiting a bit for my food. We decided to check out Brothers one evening when my step daughter and her boyfriend were in town. Right from the start, we were treated less than friendly. It took them 10 minutes to even get a server to get us drinks. Our server was nice, but she told us that because of a shift change, we wouldn't be able to order our food until the other server gets here, so we ordered drinks and apps, and made the best of it. Well, that server was there way longer than she said she would be, and when the other server got there they were out of everything we wanted to order. I'm giving this three stars provisionally---it could go up, it could go down. I have to admit that I have a negative predisposition to this place because it is in the monstrous building that was put in the Village that required the tearing down if the quaint brick buildings that were there before. It's unfortunate that no one ever put a good restaurant in one of those. (there was a equally hideous building across the street that was also torn down--I don't really miss that one) In any event, though the decor is pretty standard "bar" decor they get bonus points in my book for a huge neon "Duesenberg Straight 8" sign. That is a point a pride for Indiana--so good call. There are plenty of TV's here if watching sports is your thing. However, there is a weird bar that goes around the bar. It is sort of an odd space to eat or drink, because you're by default in everyone else's way. I think this "bar" is actually there to comply with the Indiana law that requires a "barrier" between the bar and the rest of the restaurant if minors are to be present. On the food. It's pretty standard bar food. I had some mac n'cheese that was pretty good, and a burger that was pretty so so, and some fried green beans that were pretty greasy. The bartenders and waitresses are all on point, though. If I just happened to be in there on a bad food day, I'll raise my review next time! read more

My best friend came in from out of town and we looking to have a fun night out. Being that it was a Monday, all the surrounding bars had closed early, so Brothers it was. As we entered, we noticed that there karaoke being sung, so I decided what the heck, and put a song in. Our server was friendly, and got our drinks in a timely manner. I got up to sing my song and directly afterword, a man comes behind me saying "Guys, you're not aloud to do any more "screamo". It's not the vibe we want here." I preceded to tell the man that we're just looking to have some fun, so what if my song had distorted guitars and some screaming. He wasnt jiving with that. He told me that he was the manager, but this man was DRUNK. A drunk manager was telling me that the karaoke song selection was limited from now on. Annoyed, I shook my head and told him I was going to put another song in. He pushed passed me, and told the karaoke guy I was not allowed to sing "screamo" The silliness of the situation ended though when a security guard asked what my deal was, threading to kick me out, stating "we can ban people for any reason. The argument with both children lasted longer than it needed to, over a karaoke song selection. We payed our tap and left. They're a nice bar near a large college campus, so on some nights when they have great deals expect a high volume of people and slow service. Do not risk it. If they mess up your food, they will make you pay for it. You can send it back immediately and they will offer you something instead - however when you get your bill both items will be on it! You can then ask for the manager, who will then argue with you stating that you ate some fries, or you took a bite, or that they delivered what you technically ordered - and he will refuse to take off the incorrect item. Even if you explain the ingredients weren't listed correctly or completely and an item is something you cannot eat. He will still argue with you stating that he has eaten the item before and even though he believes that you didn't like the taste, that the flavor is quite delicious. Then when you are absolutely in shock and state you cannot believe that they won't even attempt to make it right, he will begin to put you down in front of your child or guests who are visiting from out of town. When you become frazzled, he will tell you that he isn't upset, so you shouldn't be. When you attempt to tell him that he is in a place of power so of course he isn't raising his voice he will storm off for a few minutes. Then walk back by with the same bill and throw it on the table. There are SOOOOO many better places in Muncie - do not waste your money here. read more

Close to campus and stays open late. As one of Ball State's closest bars it is usually pretty busy. If you want to go during their wing night/ mug club night it will be pretty slow service due to the sheer volume of people ordering all at once. The drinks and their specials are still great but the food has taken a dive and their staff is hit or miss. Came in on a Tuesday a couple weeks ago ordered a crispy chicken sandwich and it was a pan fried greasy mess. Came in on a Wednesday was not even given a menu and told "ok drink order now then you can get wings". I asked to have a menu and was only given a drink menu and told only wings being served. The picture of the "wings" was not what was served. It was hunks of poorly fried hunks of chicken breast and then a squirt of sauce over them. This place can attract some bad clientele. Brothers Bar & Grill needs to contain and or '86' people who cause problems. They may be over serving alcohol or they are allowing people that are already extremely under the influence to enter and cause a disturbance. I simply don't know, but I know the behavior that is occurring. When the "trouble makers" leave or get kicked out of this establishment they have a pattern of causing disturbances at other places of business in The Village area.
