Brother's Italian Restaurant, Providence Forge: My check.
    Kimberly-Gretchen B.

My second trip to BIR was nearly as good as the first. I got carryout again, ordering: * Steak and Cheese Supreme Sub, $8.95 * French Fries, $3.50 * Greek Salad, $8.95 * Tiramisu, $4.95 Fifteen minutes later I was headed out the door. At home I sampled the French Fries first. They weighed in at a hefty 9.25 ounces. Meh. Crinkle-cut and previously frozen. I ate half at the first sitting and half later. Next time I'll try the Onion Rings. Time for the Steak and Cheese Supreme Sub (Fried onions, mushrooms, green peppers, hot peppers, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise.) That thang is huge! A whopping 17 ounces, that was easily 2 meals. I moved half from the clamshell to my dinner plate. And feasted on it for the next 30 minutes. The next day I ate the other half. Yum! I'll be sure to do that again! Now, the Tiramisu. The Tiramisu. Tiramisu! Where in hell is my Tiramisu? It was not in the plastic bag that I carried out from the restaurant. Grrr. Next time I'll check my order before walking out. I put the Greek Salad in the fridge, and ate it the next day with 2 separate meals. The Salad was a hearty 17.2 ounces with a 3 ounce cup of Greek dressing. I hope to return soon, in hopes of going back to a 5 star rating.

Don't judge a book by its cover. It's pretty nice inside and quite busy.

He was so helpful and made some great suggestions on the appetizers and entrees. I had a bowl of Lobster bisque which was delicious. We had calamari and parmigiana sticks. All hot and tasted great. The Espresso The bread was fantastic--garlic butter and warm to the touch! We had great entrees penne pasta bolognese, Osso Bucco, grilled chicken fettuccine, and Ravioli con carne. Everything was delicious and the serve was great. "This is the best Italian restaurant I've ever eaten at," said my wife and she's Italian descent. We asked Fati, was the chef Italian? He said he was Sicilian. We were very impressed with every course. We had dessert that was a perfect ending. The photos don't do the food justice. We had espresso with black sambuca and cappuccino. My wife and daughter had Espresso Martinis. What a finish!!! If you are in Williamsburg, you must eat at Francesco's Ristorante to experience the atmosphere, the serve, and the food. Enjoy your family and friends. Eat well, stay healthy and most of all be happy.

That side salad was not worth five dollars as one lady ordered it.

The waitstaff, hostess, and management all seemed genuinely invested in providing great service and were consistently pleasant throughout our visit. What really left an impression was a small act of kindness from the woman in charge. It was 98 degrees outside, and after leaving the restaurant, I found myself running back in for another sip of water after realizing just how thirsty I was from the heat. Seeing this, she went out of her way to make sure I had a fresh ice water before I left. It was a simple gesture, but those are often the moments people remember most. As a side note, the water itself was surprisingly good quality. The pizza has a distinctive style, and it is one I thoroughly enjoyed. The crust is soft, airy, slightly chewy, and buttery, making it incredibly easy to keep eating. The tomato sauce provides a pleasant tang that complements the cheese nicely, but the basil is what truly stands out. Despite there being only a few thin slices scattered across the top, its flavor seemed to permeate the entire pizza and tie everything together. The combination of tangy sauce, fresh mozzarella, and aromatic basil felt balanced and intentional. At just $12 for an entire pizza, it was also an excellent value. For my entrée, I ordered the sirloin steak and shrimp and finished every bite. The vegetables and shrimp had a flavor profile that landed somewhere between steamed and grilled, which I found very enjoyable. The caramelized bits on the vegetables were especially delicious, particularly on the onions. I also loved the mushrooms, broccoli, and cauliflower and honestly wished there had been more of them. The carrots and squash were less impressive and seemed more steamed than grilled. The shrimp was easily my favorite part of the dish. It was fresh, large, succulent, and perfectly tender without being tough or chewy. If I had one suggestion, it would be a bit more sear and perhaps a touch more butter or seasoning to enhance the flavor even further. I also would have liked more than three shrimp, especially at the $30 price point. Six shrimp would have felt more proportional to the rest of the dish. While the steak portion was much more generous, I genuinely enjoyed the shrimp far more. The steak was good and certainly satisfying, but it did not quite reach the level I would expect from a dedicated steakhouse. After trying a bite of my brother's seafood risotto, which struck a perfect balance between creamy richness and fresh seafood flavor, I found myself wishing I had ordered one of the restaurant's seafood-focused dishes instead. The Salmone Aurora, featuring crabmeat and scallops for the same price, immediately caught my attention. Based on what I tasted, seafood appears to be where this restaurant truly excels, and that is likely the direction I will go on my next visit. Overall, I had a very enjoyable experience. The service was exceptional, the pizza was memorable, and the seafood left me eager to return and explore more of the menu. While the steak was solid, the seafood dishes seem to be where this restaurant truly shines. Between the attentive service, thoughtful hospitality, and delicious food options I would happily dine here again.

First them meal: Outstanding. The wifey and I both ordered small pizzas. Mine was the All Meat and the wifey ordered the Arugula and Prosciutto. Let me say again both were outstanding and tasted amazing. When talking about my old meat pizza out of the four or five meats on mine with standard it out above the others was the sausage. Had an absolutely wonderful flavor. But surprisingly it didn't overpower when it was combined with the other meats. As for the wife, this is the second time she's had this combination type Pizza. The first time was in an authentic Italian restaurant, but was in Mexico. Yeah, that's kind of crazy pizza in Mexico but at that location down there it was incredible enough to make my wife want it again and this is the first time we have found a location that served a similar pizza. The arugula was fresh, not welted and really popped with flavor. Now both the wife and I had to really agree that the crust for both pizzas was not that heavy dough type. It had a little fluff to it, making it not weighing in your belly after you eat it. Staff: our server was outstanding as well. Very intentive checked on us several times and we even had some conversation back-and-forth. I believe we may have talked also to the owner who was sitting out front. If nothing else he was the manager again another very friendly man that we enjoyed our conversation with. As for the location: we found it very clean. And well kept. If you look at my other past reviews at locations via visited the one thing we really base cleanliness on is sometimes the restrooms. Well, in a shared ladies/men room, it was also very clean and well kept. So I will say again, outstanding location, outstanding staff, and wonderful food. If you're in the area absolutely I would recommend this for your lunchtime meal. We absolutely look forward to going back at a later time and trying some of the other dishes they offer.

I got our order to go and a pleasant young lady at the register took the order: large sausage and pepperoni pizza and a steak and cheese hoagie. They said it would be about a 15 minute wait. The interior was inviting and the ambiance was as an Italian pizza shop should be. Our order was ready. The pizza was just okay...it satisfied our appetite. Now that hoagie...it was not the best. The ratio of meat to bread was questionable. You could take the meat from this entire hoagie and place it on half of the hoagie and it still would not be enough....AND they wanted $5 for extra meat! Do better Antonio's. Now I'm not the end all be all when it comes to hoagies/subs, but I have had my share and they have been far better. All in all, when Antonio's fixes that minuscule meat to bread ratio on that steak and cheese hoagie, I may (MAY!) come back to try it again, but I wouldn't hold my breath...

The taste was really good with the sausage having a really nice flavor , took over the pizza. As for the service: Nice young fella seem to be very quiet spoken, took care of us.
