One of my fav Mexican restaurants! The prices are inexpensive and the food and portions sizes are great for me lol. They have a super extensive menu (at least 6 pages) so there's something for everyone here. Some of my favs are the shrimp empanadas, you get about 3 and they are huge so perfect for sharing with someone. And the guacamole is also delicious and great for sharing. You get complimentary chips and salsa and the avocado salsa is so good I literally just want to drink it. It's got a hint of spice without being super spicy and it's perfect on top of your tacos, burritos or frankly anything else you order here. The beef stew is tasty and perfect for a quick lunch on a cold Chicago day. My favorite main dishes are of course the steak tacos but I've recently started ordering the steak tostadas and they are delicious! I always ask for my steak to be cooked extra crispy with grilled onions and I can promise you if you order it that way it will not be over cooked but super tender and flavorful. The burritos are huge and have a nice portion of meat on the inside (you know sometimes it's all beans and rice and 1/2 scoop of meat) but they really don't skimp you on that here. The fajitas are also good, I love getting the chicken and steak combo. They have two options for rice, either Mexican or Puerto Rican and both are good. The beans are good here as well but I'm a rice girl so I usually give those to my husband. They have a full bar so you can order a fast cocktail or a nice margarita. I usually opt to get horchata and honestly sometimes it's hit or miss but for the most part it's pretty good. The staff is nice and pretty quick about getting your food about. You can order to go or dine in which is what we usually do. It's a pretty big place on the inside so you can definitely come with a group of friends. read more

Upon walking in we were barely greated. It wasn't until we walked up to the register did a man say something. I feel like maybe they were under staffed but they were not busy!!! A lot of takeouts but not dine in customers like me. after 10 minutes of seating ourselves and me grabbing the menus myself our wait came out.. she politely greeted us and set out the chips and 2 different salsa's. I can say that the chips were fresh and the salsa were delicious! Both flavors were but for some reason I preferred the green over the red but when mixed toyot was heavenly. We proceeded to order and my friend got a steak tack dinner that came with 2 and rice and beans but she opted for double rice instead. It is Taco Tuesday so I got the special which was whatever filling/meat you want for 2.50 each. I ended up with 3 steak tacos and small elote and a strawberry margarita on the rocks.. our waitress who was slow took so long to do things that I was getting full from the chips and salsa before the food came out. Anyway our food came out and the tacos were delicious, the meat could have been seasoned more because it was a little bland to my liking but it was still good. It was steak tacos on a corn tortilla shell with cilantro, onions, cheese and tomatoes. The elote was delicious it had the cheese I cannot pronounce with sprinkle on paprika etc. Tje margaritas were good because they didn't hold back in the liquor but by friend didn't like hers because it had no flavor! But of course it wouldn't have flavor if you didn't order it with flavor!! lol...waitress could have been more attentive but the main attraction really was the chips and salsa for me.. they have a wide variety of food options.. On July 29 2026 I got my regular order Large Burrito and a Large Quesadilla. When I got home I noticed my Large Burrito was a Small Burrito. Called back and they said they would change it; I brought the "Large Burrito" they gave me and showed them. They try to play it out and told me that was the "Large Burrito" but I explained to them that it's not a large burrito. They said they would fix it. 10 minutes later they said they fixed it. It wasn't fixed, the cook with an earring and beard said "he fixed it". I was looking straight into the kitchen and he was just heating up the burrito and said he it's all done. Once the cashier got it she started laughing while saying she "it's fixed". I was disappointed on how they handled the situation. I was recommended to this place and told they gave good Puerto Rican food and I was highly disappointed. The Puerto Rican rice with gandules , is not Puerto Rican rice at all and was not good, the Lechon is made Mexican style so it's carnitas. Instead of garlic with oil for tostones ithey give you a ketchup/mayonnaise mix. I was very disappointed, maybe just stick to Mexican food. read more

Well, I'll criticize this restaurant today. I come to this place on and off but today was my last time. Happens that the server didn't let me alone, was bothering me every 3 minutes as I checked on my cellphone. Was really annoying. Plus their food isn't the best no more. I've requested a tortilla soup?? They brought me somewhat like crushed tomatoes from a can warm with mushed hamburger meat inside and no tortilla?? Terrible. Then the burrito, I asked for a suizo type. I understand that the melted cheese makes it soft and wet but this cases was like a caldo, some chunks of meat and stuffed with rice, no cream, cheese, onions, lettuce??? And the bill: Chips/salsa $5 Tortilla soup $3 Cup of water $1.00 (disposable cup) Burrito $10 Suizo added $3 Lengua/tongue added $3 What really annoys me was the woman, after the last bite right away said "here's the bill, you can go after paying" C'mon the restaurant wasn't busy, 2 pinches tables with less than 3 people, why is the urge to let people go?? I've visited this restaurant several times and I will NEVER go back. I called in and place my order because I was on my way into work. After getting there a few minutes after they told me it would be ready, I still had to wait. Getting to work and about to eat, my order is incorrect. I immediately called and told the lady that my order was wrong. She told me to bring it back. I told her I was at work and could not come back because I would not be getting a lunch until after they close(I work over night). She then said bring it back tomorrow! Food: ordered shirt steak fajitas and plantain panini with chicken. Flavors very good, especially the plantain as in island prep. Meats were overcooked (dried out chicken - steak similar as if it was precooked way earlier). Seasoned fries a little soft but enjoyable. Rice and beans a little above typical. Ambience: really a carry out place. Sit down tables available, but kitchen heat (no discernible AC today) warms area. Service: polite and friendly, accommodating. Former fast food building. I went to this place for years with my family long story short. A white group was eating in waiting for there food they received glasses of water to drink out of. She gave us plastic cups and when I asked did you run out of glasses she proceeded to pour the water from the cup to a glass I got up and left they will never she my dollar again. read more

My gosh what a fantastic little place to go. They are only carry out but have a great deal on Taco Tuesday but even on the other days they are very reasonable and truly great taste. I mostly go with the fresh tacos but the most favorite is the home made green sauce. It is addicting and like everything there is fresh. They place is squeaky clean and they do have a liquor license but doesn't matter until they re-open for Covid. Never had a bad dish and people are nice. We've been ordering from Brother's a few times a month during quarantine life. It is my favorite take-out place now. We started with steak tacos (which are very good) but now we get the steak fajitas (my husband and I share). It comes with a lot of veggies and a solid amount of steak, but it is SO GOOD. Just cravably good. We always order the guac & chips. We like the little green & red sauces that come complimentary but the salsa isn't great. It just doesn't have a lot of flavor. Which is so weird since everything else we've tried has been amazing. We tried it twice and now we just skip it. Also-- I stopped ordering online because it felt like it never really works quite right. I now just call and place an order right before we drive over. There is a fee for using a cc. I may have mentioned in previous Mexican restaurant reviews, I am a Mexican food snob being from the southwest. BUT I decided to try Brothers through Grubhub since they were offering 25% off. Delivery was ahead of schedule for my tacos, guacamole and yes... chocolate cake. My expectations were low, but I gotta tell you I was impressed! I then went into the restaurant to order my food just to witness the phone ring at least 6x and only seen a employee pick the phone up twice. Service is HORRIBLE! I should have learned my lesson. While the food is great, the service is terrible and if you can go to the Lagrange location. I ordered through Uber Eats. Got an alert saying the order was ready. I arrived and my food wasn't ready. The staff seem real lackadaisical. After waiting for 15 minutes I asked how much longer as it should have been done and that's why I came when I did. They tried to blame us and say that we were rushing (In Spanish). While I'm not fluent I can understand a little. I felt like they were trying to hurry me out the door and I do t appreciate that at all. I order from here almost weekly. Maybe my little $20-$30 doesn't matter to you but it's $20-$30 less than you normally get. They were so busy filling the walk in orders and I waited patiently. NEVER AGAIN. This was formerly Pancho's Grill...same owners/cooks as before. Not sure of the name change? I was always frustrated with Pancho's for being so inconsistent, which hasn't changed much. I loved the old Pancho's - they had a large menu with variety of dishes including breakfast and tamales which they no longer have. They kept their most popular items. The customer service lacked before which is why I and my co-worker's stopped going but it has improved some. The food is decent, I give them that but since the name change they give less portions with higher prices. My recommendations: My fav off their menu is the flautas and chilaquiles meals. I prefer the puerto rican rice over the mexican, but both are good. The jibarito is also good with the cajun fries (but one time I got plain regular fries? hence one of few inconsistencies). What I wouldn't recommend: I recently tried their Cubano, but was not feeling it compared to others I've had. The plantain chips were very dry and over-cooked too. Also, not a fan of their tacos - not much flavor in the chicken, steak, and chile relleno, except for the al pastor (but maybe that changed). Lastly, I recently tried their steak again and it was very fatty, greasy, and tough whereas I had it before and liked it. This place is really a hit or miss. Although it's supposed to be Mexican/Puerto Rican/Cuban - they do their Mexican dishes the best. Overall, the food is good so I will recommend, but they can be very inconsistent and the customer service could use more improvement. read more

By far the best Mexican food I have ever tasted the clothes to my mom's cooking and I have to say my mom's because I'm Mexican but they also have delicious good taste in Puerto Rican food. You have to at least try their green hot sauce with just some simple chips and you'll fall in love.
