Our little town only has this one pizza place, so I really want to love it…read more I give them two stars for service because they are friendly and fast, and the pizza is ready in exactly the 20 minutes that they promise. We've ordered from them 3 times in the last month hoping for a great pie and not wanting to just jump on making our minds up from a snap judgment. Here's where it gets challenging... The menu features some high-priced specialty pies, but I always start with a cheese pizza. If the cheese pizza is no good, I can't justify spending the money on a higher priced pie. The first one we ordered was not completely done. We had to put it in the oven to finish cooking it because the slices just pulled apart as the dough was still mostly raw. The second one we ordered was weird. I know that sounds juvenile, but the dough was so chewy and spongy. It was like chewing on a yoga mat. Very strange. We were literally gnawing on it. We had a good laugh though because we looked so silly trying to chew it up long enough to swallow it. The flavor was good though. The pizza sauce had a great zip to it and the cheese was perfectly cooked. The third pizza... third time is a charm, right? Not exactly. Unfortunately. I asked for extra pizza sauce on this one because it was the highlight of the chewy pizza. As soon as we got it home, I went to grab a slice and it wasn't cut all the way through. Not a big problem. That happens. I grabbed the pizza cutter and fixed it right up. This pie was extra cheesy. I didn't order extra cheese, so this was just a bonus. It was very saucy. In fact, the heavy cheese was trying to slide off of the saucy slice. Had to use two hands to make sure I didn't lose it. Houston, we have a problem. While there was extra sauce on the pizza, the sauce was so bland that the flavor was, well, boring. Usually pizza is easy to just binge eat. This had no flavor. The sauce didn't taste like pizza sauce. It tasted like watered down tomato paste. I only ate one slice out of boredom. We're glad we didn't try any of the $26 specialty pizzas. I work the same way when I get a milkshake somewhere. I start with a vanilla shake because if that is screwed up, then the fancier shakes probably aren't any good. They do have really good breadsticks. We order them with their Alfredo sauce. The Alfredo sauce tastes really good, but it is oddly runny. Hopefully they can get on top of quality control because their lack of consistency is going to hurt their business. If another pizza place were to open in town, it wouldn't take much effort to outdo these guys. Maybe they aren't worried about consistency because they are the only show in town. Nonetheless, I can't justify ordering more pies from them when I can just get a frozen Wild Mike's pizza from the grocery store, and it would taste exactly as expected every time. **I'm not saying that frozen store pizzas are my jam. I like specialty pizzas. Local recommendations worth driving from Tenino to Olympia and Yelm for are Wicked Pies (Twin Peaks themed pizza shop) in Olympia and La Gitana (pricy but INCREDIBLE pizzas that will blow your mind) in Yelm.

I was going to go eat at the restaurant but had to cancel my reservation…read more I ordered a takeout instead and it was Delicious! I had the meat platter and the burata caprese. Awesome! Perfect meal for two, while watching a movie. I plan on dining in person in the not too distant future.

Had been looking forward to trying this restaurant as it seems to get decent reviews…read more Pickup order on a weekday, later PM. Terrible parking - had to circle a couple times for street parking. Place had maybe 8 total people so not busy. Went up to Server/Cashier near front to let her know I was there for pickup and was immediately told "The servers like it when you stand by the table" in a mildly pretentious tone. No "Hi" or "How can I help you?" This is downtown Olympia so typical establishment behavior. Not surprised. Place was clean and very nicely decorated.Took about 5 minutes to get my pizza which was surprisingly quick. The Pizza I generally like my pizzas crisp and this was not even close. Very soggy, and not much flavor (Pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, olives). This was thin crust so that potentially had something to do with taste and texture. I would compare this Pizza to what you get at MOD. It's not too bad, but not too good. Average at best and I expected a lot better. Cost was about normal (14" pizza and bread appetizer for $50 plus tax). Marinara sauce for bread was delicious. All in all, it wasn't a terrible experience. It's by no means gourmet or fancy pizza. Perhaps the rest of their menu is better. Server needs to chill out and brush up on her customer service skills. 3 stars at best.

Incredible…read more I'd give this place a 4.5 stars if I could because you do have to eat really quickly to get the best taste and crunch, by the end of our pizza the texture wasn't as 10/10 as the first slice. Ambience - Very cool little pizza joint on the west side offering both indoor and outdoor seating. Capable of handling larger sized groups - primarily outside. Order up front and they bring it out. Service - Staff is always inviting, friendly, and courteous! Food - No pretenses here...it's strictly a pizza place! They don't offer other Italian fare and I think that's a good decision. They do stone fired pizza...and they do it well! While they offer quite a few different combos, as well as build your own, pizzas come in one size and one size only... 12". I think this also plays well for ensuring consistency. Honestly, having spent 20 years in the pizza industry, I think these are good business decision. At this point we've only had their Margherita, Marg-A-Roni, Meat Lovers, and Supreme pizzas as we are Kida traditionalist. But as I mentioned, they offer quite a few different sauces, cheeses, and toppings. The veggie toppings are always fresh and the meat toppings have some good seasoning! Our favorite stone fired pizza for this region happens to be up in Shelton currently, but Stone Creek is our local favorite and a very close second!! Give them a shot if you haven't... great little pizza parlor! We will definitely be back!
