I got the JFK Cargo. $26 for a chicken cutlet and fried eggplant sandwich neither of which were hot. What's the point of frying or breading something if it's going to be cold and soggy, it just blends in to the bread. I heard a lot of praise for the size of the sandwich. It's big but it doesn't justify the price tag at all. Sandwich could've used some more condiments too. If you're looking for a "special occasion" type of sandwich then I suggest you go somewhere else because this is really nothing to write home about. read more

Their pasta dishes are very good and appetizers as well if I wanna a quick bite usually when I call ahead to go pick up my order service is always good. They are nice and friendly in the summertime. I've ordered here a few times, both from work and home. They deliver their own food, which you'd assume would mean better service. But here's where I have a serious gripe: I placed a phone order and asked for the total--pretty standard, right? I was told they "can't give prices over the phone." Excuse me? What kind of policy is that? Makes zero sense. But fine, I let that go. Today, I ordered two sandwiches and a soda. When I arrived, it was semi-busy but fully staffed. One woman seemed to be handling phone and app orders. She called my name, handed me the bag, and I asked her to confirm everything was inside--mainly the soda. I didn't check the bag myself (my mistake), assuming it was correct. I got back to my car and nearly home when my friend checked the bag--only one sandwich. I immediately called the store, got placed on hold, then finally spoke with someone. I told him which sandwich was missing, and he goes, "Yeah, you can come back and get it if you want." If I want? No apology. No ownership. Just a dismissive "come get it if you want." You messed up the order, and I have to drive back for your mistake? That's not customer service. That's indifference. Nick is the best! So so helpful with my HUGE order. I've been telling my work pals about this place and they all wanted to order various pastas and raviolis when I took a 45 min trip. The store is so clean and the workers I met in the store today were very friendly and I felt very welcome. Even though it was New Year's Eve, the store was calm, clean and organized. I didn't have to wait long for my order that I called in. The server who took my order was kind and patient on the phone and kind and patient in person. Everyone was so nice. The food was exceptional! We ordered 4 subs for $60: * J.F.K Cargo * The Luigi * P.A.P.D * Howard Beach (we asked if the sandwiches could be cut into 4 and they were able to accommodate for some of them!) Howard Beach was everyone's favorite. It has mozzarella sticks and meat covered in bbq sauce -- it's very messy but delicious. The JFK Cargo was our second favorite because of the fried eggplant and fried chicken cutlet. Our least favorite was the P.A.P.D. because it mainly tasted like pasta sauce and bread and there wasn't enough balsamic to cut the richness. But nonetheless we had an incredibly filling lunch that kept everyone full for the rest of afternoon. Overall service was wonderful and I'm really excited to have found a great sandwich shop nearby. Great hero spot out in Howard Beach. Came here for the first time and had a hero damn near the size of my arm that left me in a food coma. I forgot the name of the hero but it was off the specials of the day list and had chicken cutlet, Italian cold cuts, fresh mozzarella, and balsamic glaze thrown onto a semolina. The highlight of the hero was their chicken cutlets which were some of the freshest yet thinly sliced cutlets I've had in a while. OMG! What can I say, they have always had the best Italian gourmet food and catering and now they have The Brothers big ass subs witch are the best sandwich ever!!! The are alway happy to help and I just catered my last backyard party with them and it was amazing!!! The made all their sandwiches and cut them into smaller portions and we served it on platters, that was more than enough but we we still got "the big sandwich ". And they also put together the best antipasto platter I ever had. Perfect!!! My guests were amazed, and they are hardcore Italians. LOL read more
