This was the worst restaurant experience I've had in New Orleans. Our drinks took over 20 minutes to arrive, and our entrées were delayed nearly 45 minutes. To make matters worse, two tables that were seated after us received their food before we did. The staff seemed poorly trained, and there was a clear lack of attention and service awareness toward guests. Tonight was my first visit here, and it will definitely be my last. I only ordered one drink (the Dorothy Lamour, yum!) and when I finished, I was given a complimentary glass of champagne when I didn't order another drink. I am as black woman that experienced separation of dining at this restaurant last week during NOLA visit when we walked through the front entry there were 3 to 4 tables occupied all white another couple black woman with a white man, we were a party of 3 we were walked to the cc rear dining room where there another party of 5 blacks persons. We came to experience the live jazz the musicians were suppose to go to each table that never happened they only went to the tables in the front dining area. The patio was quite beautiful, but it was way too hot and humid to sit outside comfortably. I ordered the duck and alligator sausage gumbo with a side of grits, while a few of the girls had the Josephine, one went for the short ribs, and another had the pork belly benedict. The food looked very delicious, but at this point, I didn't want to order anything. They had bottomless mimosas ($22.00) and a few (expensive) appetizers. I brought my best friend here for her birthday on Sunday, 4/26/26. Our other friend had recommended this place. We arrived 30mins late on our brunch reservation and they still accepted us. For our entrees we had our minds set on the ribeye steak & eggs but it wasn't available. The waiter recommended the short rib with eggs. The three of us ordered it as it comes. My friend asked for a side salad & I asked for a side of cream of spinach. Best decision ever because everything that came out was perfect. The oysters were delicious & the short ribs were tender & juicy. The GM noticed how excited we were that he added to our experience with complimentary Lagniappe. There was a bottle of champagne sent to our table & just when we thought that was all, we each received a complimentary dessert. This place exceeded our expectations & it has resurrected our faith in fine dining experiences. We will definitely dine here again for any special occasion. Went to Broussard's during Fest (Quarter Fest) for brunch and didn't even realize it was a jazz brunch, but what a vibe! It was a little loud, but honestly, it didn't take away from the experience at all. Our waiter, Mr. Greer, was spectacular. We were so pleased to be able to walk in on Easter Sunday to be seated at a bar table. There were four of us, and we were just absolutely delighted with our experience. The place itself is beautiful - clean and crisp with small areas for intimate seating and a large courtyard full of lovely people with beautiful Easter outfits. Staff was so wonderful and made sure we were taken care of. We started with the delicious deviled eggs, and oh my, they had a flavor to them that makes them stand out. Shrimp and grits with the perfect flavor and consistency, poached eggs, a redfish meal, and my chicken and waffles were all just wonderful. A couple at the table enjoyed bottomless mimosas (they provide a full glass of bubbles and keep them flowing, you control the juice in them), and a couple of us ordered bloody marys. They were the perfect mix of vodka and tomato - not too much to overpower the flavors. We were allowed to just be at our own pace, and a sweet woman that we called our "Champagne Fairy" appears with a gift for one of our guests - his own complimentary glass. Our server, Monique was a true pleasure. She was attentive, knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. The greeter at the door helped so much as well. My only complaint is the acoustics in the room we were in weren't great and once all the guest arrived it was difficult to have a conversation with the person sitting next to you. I went here with my boyfriend on a Saturday morning and we had a reservation for 10:00am. We were greeted when we entered and were led to our table shortly thereafter. I believe that a reservation is needed, because around 11:30am the restaurant had filled up quickly. We were greeted by our server quickly and we ended up ordering bottomless mimosas and to start the bread tray and deviled eggs. For the bottomless mimosas, you have a choice of juice, and we went with pineapple juice. You put the amount of juice that you would like after the server pours and we were lucky that our server had a heavy pour, lol. I tried each of the breads that were brought to us, and I really liked the croissant and I believe it was cinnamon bread. I also really liked the deviled eggs. We both order the chicken and waffles. I am not that familiar with what this dish should taste like so I really cannot offer a comparison or know what this dish should truly taste like. However, for me, the chicken was very moist, but almost too much so when combined with the syrup and then the waffle itself. It wasn't bad per se, but the texture just wasn't for me. During our meal, the server did check on us a few times and as I mentioned before, it did get busier as our brunch went on, and there were a few larger tables that our server had been assigned to, so given these factors, I feel like service was pretty good. Also, there was a jazz trio that performed throughout the restaurant for brunch. They greeted my boyfriend and I and sang happy birthday to me since I went there for my birthday, and then another song that my boyfriend requested. The manager visited our table multiple times and shared insight into the history of the restaurant. After the main meal, he delivered two desserts of which one wasn't on the menu. We have a fantastic experience at broussard's on New Year's Eve! It is one of the best dinners we have ever had! Every single recommendation from the server hit the spot and was perfect. My biggest concern was the 15-minute wait beyond our reservation time. We started off with the brussel sprouts, which but crispy, flavorful, and just overall delicious! The tagliatelle with mushrooms had just enough pasta to make my belly happy before the main course. It was a little dry. The main redfish entree was soft and well seasoned. The crab meat on top was a nice pairing, And crispy broccolini was basic, but still good. This dish could have had a little bit more flavor overall, but given the fine dining experience, it was up to par. The bread pudding dessert is a must-have! I was seriously considering a few different options, including the flourless chocolate cake, but this bread pudding is one of the best I've ever had! We stopped trying to eat it The BBQ shrimp does NOT come in a roux sauce, as every other BBQ shrimp I have had everywhere in N.O., but with just some commercial tasting BBQ sauce put on top.
