    Free Thursday Happy Hour meatballs
    Erica J.

Thursday night Happy Hour (3pm-6pm), 10/10! The lamb chops and catfish slider, chef's kiss. The free meatballs are delicious and just keep coming. I worked from the bar and had a lovely time getting to know one of the bartenders. I'm not sure if the free meatballs are always endless the way they were yesterday, but it was nice to balance with the cocktails and wine. A great touch and an awesome welcome to the Hyatt Regency.

Food I attended a pharmaceutical presentation, so they created a special menu for the event. We had a choice of three entrees, and I didn't see any of them on the restaurant's main menu. I had the roasted chicken and fingerling potatoes. It came with a side of roasted broccolini. Everything was well-seasoned and had a good flavor. The chicken was tender and moist, and the skin was crispy. For dessert, they served us a chocolate cannoli, which was light, crispy, and creamy. Service Our server was ok. Nothing to write home about. If it weren't for his age, I would've thought he was new to serving. Ambiance It's just as lovely as when it was Borgne. They've retained the oyster columns, which is a nice touch. The restaurant is still airy and inviting.

Happy hour oysters!! $.75 for raw, $1.50 for chargrilled how can you go wrong? The bartender Audrey informed us that they grow their own oysters. Both raw and char grilled were delicious! I cannot wait to try the steaks check this place out for happy hour. You might like it.

Fried Lobster Tail & Grits New Orleans style BBQ meuniere sauce, mascarpone grits

Dined at Rizzuto's Prime and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The service was top-tier...attentive, knowledgeable, and perfectly paced without ever feeling intrusive. I started with an Old Fashioned that was perfectly balanced...smooth, not too sweet, and a great way to kick things off. For my meal, I ordered the Fried Lobster Tail & Grits, and it absolutely delivered. The lobster was fried perfectly, crispy on the outside and tender inside, sitting on rich, creamy mascarpone grits. The New Orleans style BBQ meunière sauce tied everything together with just the right amount of buttery, savory heat. The dish felt indulgent but well executed, and every bite was packed with flavor. If you're looking for a spot that blends upscale dining with bold Southern influences, Rizzuto's Prime is definitely worth the visit. I'd order this again without hesitation.

We had the pleasure of being served by DC at Rizzuto at the Hyatt, and honestly...they are exactly the kind of person every restaurant wants on their team. From the moment we sat down, DC was personable, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right and did it all with an easygoing, friendly energy that made the evening even better. That level of care and authenticity is rare. DC truly made the experience memorable...not because of what we ordered, but because they made it special. Highly recommend asking for DC if you visit ...you'll be in great hands! And the food was AMAZING!! Get the crab cake!!! Thank me later.

Rizzuto's Prime (Hyatt Regency) offers great food, a modern atmosphere, and good service. Although this is a new location, the food quality remains excellent. Our server, Eduardo provided attentive service throughout the meal and even suggested some really good drinks to try. The crab cake, made with 96% lump crab meat was amazing and well-prepared. The seafood manicotti had great flavor, and the oyster Rizzuto was a good starter. Can't wait to return to this Rizzuto's location!

One of the best restaurants and steak houses in New Orleans. From the welcome to the drinks to the amazing food. Located inside the Hyatt regency downtown it's a must for food lovers. They force feed you their amazing free meatballs to start and if you don't watch out you will miss out on the rest of the surprise. I just moved to New Orleans and I have eaten here several times. Aubrey and Alex were amazing and so welcoming. Beware they will push the meatballs so you have to learn to say enough. Great great great place to eat after a hard days work and the hospitality is amazing. So far my favorite place. Thank you for making me feel welcomed

Thursdays are advertised for Martinis and Meatballs. A social club was having a small gathering there so I decided to go with a friend. The restaurant is decorated nice and most tables were lit with a small light. My friend and I ordered the Strawberry Tini at the bar which was ok. They gave us one tray of the meatballs (3) which were kind of small. I get they are complimentary but because of the size I feel each person could have received a tray with their drink. We moved to a regular table and socialized since it was a networking event and I noticed the glass in front of me had a lipstick stain on it. This threw me for a loop because why is there a dirty glass on a clean table. One of the girls ordered the steak skewers and it was very small. She said it tasted good but wasn't too happy about the size. They look like they have some good stuff on the menu, so I may go back to try the dinner.

I haven't used Yelp in years so, I downloaded it specifically to do this review. I was in town for the National Tax Forum and decided to eat here for a solo-dinner strictly out of proximity. A decision well made! I enjoyed it so much that I decided to return for lunch the next day! The food was delicious and the service was IMMACULATE, from the hostess (I did not get her name) to the waiter (Kevin). Upon my 4 :30 pm arrival, there was a slight wait due to the entire restaurant not opening for dinner until 5 pm. After a 10-minute wait, the hostess was nice enough to seat me before 5 pm. My waiter, Kevin was the best! He was very knowledgeable of everything on the menu, with many recommendations that were out of this world! To name a few, I had my first spinalis steak and will never turn back thanks to him! Also, I'm normally not a fan of lobster mac but theirs is topped with a bacon jam that has definitely made me a fan of Rizzuto lobster mac! Thanks for that recommendation too, Kevin! I enjoyed dinner so much, I went back for lunch the next day and was just as satisfied! I was pleased to be waited on by Kevin again and his recommendations did not disappoint, again! The seafood manicotti was one of the best red sauce pasta dishes I've ever had!!! My one and only complaint would be the cocktail sauce. He warned of its spiciness but I was not prepared! I love a cocktail sauce w/ a kick but it honestly was not enjoyable. The shrimp were perfectly seasoned but I couldn't enjoy it due to chewing while holding my brain from cocktail sauce electrocution!!! All in all, I was very pleased with this restaurant and have not stopped telling my peers to make sure they try it out!!! From the food and ambiance, to the service and bar service, I cannot wait to come back!

We had an awesome pre pelicans game meal at Rizzutos Prime. The food was delicious. Their crab cake is the best I've ever had. The whipped feta was a sneaky favorite as well. The raw oysters were big and salty. Lastly, the seafood gumbo was rich and flavorful. Raphael was an incredible server with good recommendations and quick with the drinks.

Words simply cannot express how much I continue to be blown away by the exquisite quality of food,…read morebeverage, service, and uncommon hospitality demonstrated and perfectly executed by this New Orleans establishment. My wife and I visited on our first NoLa trip together about 4 years ago and make it a point to go every time now. Our first time we stopped in for lunch at the bar and had an excellent experience, and decided to return. We came back on the next trip just to grab a drink and a snack before heading down for dinner in the Bywater. The bartender (Chris) gave a bunch of recommendations for places to visit that way, all of which we have done in the past few trips and have loved. But it's this past trip where we were truly blown away. We were in town for JazzFest and after walking back to the French Quarter, we were thinking about food options and decided to take a gamble to see if we could get a seat at the bar or maybe grab a drink for the road before getting food somewhere else. The bar was full when we got there around 8/8:15, but they had a no show and could serve us, as long as we ordered quickly and were ok with the check hitting the table right at 9PM. Given our slightly (perhaps generous) inebriated state from being at the festival all day and being slightly underdressed, we felt this was quite a kind accommodation. With the clear expectations of needing to get our orders in quickly, we wasted no time making a decision on our drinks and a few food options. Despite this need for a quick turn around, at no time did we feel rushed. The food and drinks were absolutely perfect, as they always are. But what impressed us most was the staff. At no point did the hostess or wait staff seem annoyed by us, despite us parachuting in from a music festival and looking like sunburn and poor decisions. By managing expectations on the front end, we never felt rushed despite the need for a quick turn around. They were all lovely, professional, and as cordial as if we were regulars with standing reservations once a week. In terms of atmosphere, it is always perfect: lively and fun for a date night, dinner with friends/family, or just a nice drink before a night out and about. I truly cannot begin to explain how much I love this restaurant and every experience I've had there. The awards and accolades this establishment (a sincere and lofty term Jewel of the South truly deserves) have been awarded are beyond well earned. Restaurants around the country should aspire to provide the quality of food, service, and overall hospitality Jewel of the South provides on a regular basis. It will continue to be our first and foremost recommendation to anyone we know who is going to New Orleans. Bravo! We shall return!

Supposedly…read morereservations were hard to get, but that is because they allot most of the place for walk-ins, so you don't need to put in the effort that I did to book a time a month in advance. We were seated in the upstairs area and tried some of their drinks. We got the Brandy Crusta which is their most popular drink and the Pouvez-Vous Poulet which is a seasonal cocktail. The Brandy Crusta has the cup dipped in sugar with a fairly strong cocktail within. Definitely get this when you are here as that is one of the best Brandy Crustas and is historical. The Pouvez-Vous Poulet is a duck fat washed rum cocktail and is also very delicious. You cannot really go wrong with any cocktail, but definitely order the Brandy Crusta for the true experience here. Though, honestly, while the cocktails are good, it was not as memorable as the other Top 50 Best Bars in the World that I have been to, but I won't dock a star off because of this, since the cocktails and overall experience otherwise were fantastic. Service is good but can be a bit slow, but it is an acceptable tradeoff for a more quiet ambience compared to downstairs.

While the Sazerac wasn't invented here, this is arguably its most iconic home, a place where New Orleans cocktail history comes to life. I would use this version as your gold standard when dining out in New Orleans and looking for a perfect Sazerac. We enjoyed watching bartender Rachel craft each drink. Rye whiskey, Peychaud's Bitters, and sugar are stirred in a small pitcher with ice. The serving glass is chilled, then emptied, and finished with an absinthe rinse along the rim. The cocktail is strained into the glass and topped with a lemon peel. The atmosphere makes the experience even better. The murals, the history, and the energy of the room give it a sense of occasion that you do not get at most bars. The Apothecary was the cure. We grabbed seats mid bar and before we even finished settling in, there were waters waiting on the bar. That simple move already separated this place from the chaos outside. It's hospitality in its cleanest form: welcome in, take a breath, we got you. Inside is low light and old time apothecary mood, menus like a spellbook, but it's not gimmicky. The bartenders move like they've done the reps. Calm. Precise. No frantic showboating, no syrupy cover ups, no sloppy pours even with the parade energy banging on the door. We ordered two and they were both dead on. Alchemist Elixir: pea flower gin, elderflower liqueur, fresh lemon. It shows up pale violet with an orchid on the rim and yes it's pretty, but it's also disciplined. Floral without tasting like perfume. Bright without being sour. A drink that makes you slow down. Plus a magic chemists surprise. Corpse Reviver #2: local gin, Lillet Blanc, Grand Marnier, absinthe, fresh lemon. Cold, crisp, citrus first, then the herbal edge and just enough absinthe to remind you what city you're in. Served in a textured coupe with a cherry skewer, details handled like they actually matter. Outside, the streets were selling amnesia in plastic souvenir cups.
