Located along the docks, you can go to the brewery then right across the lot hit up the fun Crafted Market. They have a huge parking lot so that should never be a problem. During the pandemic, make a reservation! Life will just be easier coming here. There is a 2 hour time limit and you must purchase a $10 voucher with your beer. They have a rotation of food trucks so you're all set there. The saddest part for me of the Vid, no flights. Wah wah. I love their outdoor seating! Big picnic tables. I felt completely safe with everyone wearing masks and the tables far apart. In my opinion, this is a safe place to visit following all guidelines during the pandemic. I was only able to try two beers....for now... Mør Mør - 9% Belgian Quadrupel that tastes much lighter than it is. You in danger, girl! STIGMATA - When I saw this described as 'This is like the most experimental experiment that we've ever experimented with during our experimentations'....I had no choice but to get it. A good description will just sucker me right in. Well this 7% IPA truly was interesting. It uses NZ Hops (which seem to be all the rage lately) and didn't have notes of raspberry, but rather a mini explosion. Definitely a fruity IPA and I enjoyed it quite a bit. I really enjoyed their beers I tried, so much so I got 3 crowlers to go. Crowlers ranged from $9-13 but they have a deal of 3 for $30 so I went with that. My friend loved their shirts and ended up buying one for $20 for himself. Clearly we became fans of the brewery. For me, Brouwerij West is worth the drive down from KTown LA to San Pedro. I really enjoyed myself and plan to be back, bringing friends once the pandemic allows group hangs. read more

Our new favorite local brewery! We have been looking for a good brewery's around Torrance and San Pedro, and brouwerij is the winner. The ambiance is rustic and adorable and the beers are great. They don't have a huge selection but what they have is delicious, especially their sasions. Also, the location is very unique, which makes the experience more exciting. We will definitely be stopping here often! They have a few food trucks on weekends for food and they have indoor and outdoor seating. A must! read more

If you've been keeping up with my reviews lately, you'll start seeing a trend of my recently found hobby of trying out craft beer through this quarantine period - and my hobby has not stopped. Blame it on being stuck at home or our neighbor constantly dropping off some new sours or IPAs to try from other areas, but it's been fun so far. The location itself is in this cool industrial area not far from the San Pedro Fish Market. I could totally imagine someone hosting even a wedding at this location. It's beautiful and large! It's even got a nice outdoor space as well. It's too bad that we currently cannot enjoy this space (for obvious COVID reasons, of course), but I can't wait to visit this place again (let's say 2022 when things are safe?). I had tried out Brouwerij West's seltzer called "Things". They have a piña colada, mango, and grapefruit flavor. I love the fact that craft breweries are now crafting up seltzers as well! Some people might say that all seltzers taste the same, but I beg to differ. I loved their seltzers. All of them had a really strong taste of the fruit that was infused - but of all, my favorite had to have been the piña colada. read more

I love Brouwerij West! If you are at all a fan of Hazy IPAs, this place needs to be on your radar. Brouwerij West produces some of the best beers I've ever tasted, and ranks at the top amongst my favorite breweries of all time. I cannot speak highly enough of them. Starting with their menu, Brouwerij West has a great variety of IPAs and multiple top notch Hazy IPAs to choose from. IPAs (particularly Hazy IPAs) are my favorite kind of beer, so I've never tried some of their other types, but they do have a few other options for those less inclined. I believe Hazy IPAs are their specialty, however, so I'd definitely make it a point to try at least one of them during your visit. The menu here changes often, as they are constantly brewing new beers, so there's always something new to try, which is great. Everything I've ordered has tasted amazing. You really can't go wrong. I'm always impressed by how smooth their Hazy IPAs are. For the quality, prices are very reasonable, and they even sell some of their beers to go for you to enjoy at home! Not only are their beers extremely delicious, but the atmosphere and ambiance are unbeatable, as well. They have ample seating both indoor and outdoor, and there's usually at least one delicious food truck right outside for when hunger strikes. This brewery is huge, with plenty of space to explore and enjoy. I really like the set up, decor, and relaxing vibes. Perfect for an afternoon beer. If you find yourself in the area, definitely give this brewery a try. You will not be disappointed. Unfortunately for me, I don't live very close, so I've only been to this location a couple of times, but you can usually find some of their beers at various craft beer stores around Southern California. Great place to chill and enjoy some beers! The last few weekends we have come here there have always been events going on but they still serve the general public during those. Theres plenty of seating outdoor and indoors but it does get pretty busy during the days on weekends. Huge parking lot so you'll never have a problem with that. Cool brewery with lots of ample space both indoors and outdoors along the Los Angeles waterfront. Lines can be long at the main bar but they have a "secret" bar right past the projector. While they serve the same beers at the "secret" bar, the only item you cannot get there is the slushy. I tried two beers and both were tasty. I tried the "rock awash" which is a mango hibiscus tart and the "dog ate my homework" which is a blackberry ale. I really enjoyed the "rock awash" because it was just the right amount of tartness, not enough to quite be a sour. On Saturdays, there's a live band that plays. While the live music is a nice touch, you can't really have a conversation while they are playing. There are also a couple of food trucks also. We tried the pizza truck and had one of the hot honey pizzas which was actually terrific. A nice balance of sweet, salty, and spicy. Though the options for beers are somewhat on the smaller side, the beer is good and the location is prime. read more

What a fun place to stumble upon! This brewery has everything you need to enjoy on a nice Saturday night. They do require proof of vaccination if you want to drink inside, and they also have plenty outside seating as well. They have a $5 tasting room on Wed, Fri and Sun from 5pm - 8pm with a rotating beer and seltzer selection. Since this was my first time here, I ended up getting their beer flight. Thanks to Sophia, my "beerista," she had some great recommendations to try. I ended up trying their Dog Ate My Homework, Bounce, Mango and Mør Mør. Let's start with their "Dog ate my homework:" blackberry saison, 7%. This is one of their popular, fruity, tart and juicy beers. You can definitely taste that blackberry. My favorite was their "Bounce:" 7.1% it's a Westcoast IPA with hints of pine, citrus and passion fruit. It definitely has a kick and tasted very refreshing. I was also curious about their seltzers, so I tried their "Things for your head:" Mango seltzer- 6.5%. This wasn't as bubbly as most seltzers I've tried, but you can really taste that Mango. It tasted more of an artificial Mango taste, more on the sweeter side. "Mor Mor:" Belgian-Style Quad - 10.3%. This had more of a caramel and plum taste to it. I could definitely see how this can creep up on you and get you pretty tipsy. Overall, I will definitely come back here again and try their other beer selections. They do have a couple of food trucks outside as well, if you're hungry. Great place to get together with some friends. read more

Are you kidding me??? We came in with a group to hang out, watch the Dodger game and have beers and dinner. I love that the game is on multiple big screens. The sound inside is ridiculously loud. Conversation is impossible. In fact ordering required cupping hands to mouth. Outside to escape volume is a little too cold. We are outta here I hate leaving early but this isn't fun. Hidden gem of a brewery as I live by Long Beach. Great beer selection, live music in the outdoor covered area with plenty of seating. Try their margarita slushee! The food trucks are also great for trying various foods. The bison burger was delicious! Will be back! read more

I am not familiar with San Pedro, but decided to just cruise along the coast. Came across this little gem looking for a place to grab a drink after lunch! Service: Our server, Sofia, was awesome! We told her it was her first time and she was like quick to make suggestions based on what we liked. Ultimately, we went with two flights and had her choose for us. Wasn't disappointed and couldn't go wrong with the smaller tastings of the beer and seltzer. Venue: They have a shared parking lot with another building across from the lot. Nice place to check out if you are interested in arts and crafts. The brewery does not serve actual food, but there were three food trucks outside to choose from. Inside was spacious and we sat indoors to catch the NFL game. Be aware they will request to see your vaccination cards in order to sit inside. Neat brewery with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for large groups and families. They have beer flights available in which you choose 4 beers or seltzers. Our favorite was the mango seltzer, mango slushy, and the michelada with Tajín rim. You pay in advance, staff was quick and friendly. They sell merchandise, cookies, flavored popcorn, and non alcoholic drinks as well. There is a shared taco truck patio. We got there on a Saturday at noon and there was only one taco truck :( Two more came in by around 2p when it got busier. I saw lots of pups around, so dog friendly as well! read more

I'll start by saying that we initially thought this place was kind of cute (for an industrial area/brewery) and liked the fact that kids could run around freely and that it was open and allowed for social distancing. The indoor part of the brewery is also pretty cute...I might even like it better but we opted for outdoor bc of Covid. We arrived when the brewery opened and spent from 12 - 4:30pm ordering drinks and food from the brewery, bbq and food truck areas. There were 6 adults and 4 kids in our group so we ended up spending quite a bit of money (over $400). We were enjoying the music and each other's company when some rude hostess walks over to our table looking really nervous at around 4:30pm. She looks at us and tells us that there is a 4 hour minimum (which mind you, was never communicated) and that it was last call for our group. She never asked how our experience was, never thanked us for visiting or frankly for spending a shitload of money. No one in our group was tipsy, everyone was composed, polite and respectful (we were all parents with kids)! It was so awkward and unnecessary and the most ridiculous part of her asking us to leave is that there were literally 12 other open tables around us. We were a group of Indians (5 out of the 6 adults) but my "American" sister- in-law was with us and asked why we were being asked to leave when this was never mentioned earlier. The rude hostess (still shaking out of nervousness or anger? not sure what her issue was?) rudely told her that they had a ton of reservations for the evening. I never pull the race card but we couldn't think of any other reason they would have asked us to leave. We were not loud, rude, drunk or annoying (to anyone but her I guess lol). By the time we gathered our stuff, took kids to the restroom and finished whatever was remaining of what we purchased, it was close to 5:45pm so yes, we were there all afternoon...but who cares when the place is empty and we were ordering food and drinks all afternoon?? We were also a group of healthcare workers (not that it should matter, but we were just trying to relax, celebrate my nephew's 1st birthday, and enjoy a day off with family which most of us don't get very often). My mother-in-law was also with us so there's no way that anyone could have complained that we were rowdy or too loud. All in all, it was an annoying, abrupt end to what we initially thought was a pretty fun day and celebration for my baby nephew. None of us will be visiting again and, to be honest, wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

The Mrs. and I spent a few hours at Brouwerji West yesterday on our way to another event. It was nice to get away from the heat and enjoy some great beer and atmosphere. Brouwerij West is housed in an old warehouse next to the harbor and sits across from another warehouse that houses Crafted Market. In between are picnic tables and food trucks that are part of the brewery. We checked in with the hostess and asked for a table in the shade or indoors. The picnic tables in between the two warehouses are in direct sun so if you are a sun worshiper, it is the spot for you. However, if you're like me and have had skin cancer issues, I highly recommend you avoid the area. We ended up being seated inside which was nice. We could still hear and see the live band and the layout of the warehouse allowed for a nice ocean breeze to blow through every once in a while. The inside of Brouwerji can be described as rustic or industrial. It is a working brewery so you get to see all the equipment and the beautiful wooden structure of the warehouse has been left intact. Large picnic tables are spaced out around the floor of the warehouse. Brouwerij West utilizes GoTab to order, which I am familiar with, but I know some of my fellow Yelpers have issues using. Each table has a QR code assigned to it which gives you access to the beer menu. Once you place your order though the GoTab app, your drinks arrive in minutes. Not kidding. I don't think we even waited 5 minutes for our beer to arrive. If you get frustrated and don't want to use the GoTab app, there is a bar inside where you can order your drinks. It is also the spot where you buy merch and canned beer. The only frustrating thing is you'll be waiting a while because some of your fellow beer enthusiast wait until the last minute to read the beer menu.....which is posted on a very large board on the wall next to the bar. So yes, you'll need some patience. The beer, of course, is the reason you go to Brouwerji West. I had a glass of the Bounce-IPA(West Coast), the Blonde Ale, and the Popfuji-Unfiltered Pilsner. The IPA was probably my favorite. The Blonde Ale tasted like buttery popcorn, which isn't a bad thing. The Mrs. had a glass of the Why Are Cakes Round? - Pastry Stout and the Apocalypse How? Pastry Stout. Out of the two, the Apocalypse was her favorite. It was rich and chocolaty. Food trucks are on site for your dining enjoyment. The choices were Mediterranean, Japanese fusion, cupcakes, or a "brunch" truck that only served a short stack of pancakes and a chorizo breakfast bowl. Usually when I think of brewery food, I think tater tots, pizza, and nachos. We ended up ordering the Falafel plate from the Mediterranean truck. It was really good Falafel. Brouwerij West taken reservations. I don't know if that is/was because of COVID, but I think it is a good idea. We didn't have a reservation, but had no problem getting seated right away. I can imagine Brouwerji gets pretty busy. especially on a holiday weekend. there were no issues with the staff. Everyone we interacted with was very friendly. There is plenty of parking but, you'll have difficulty finding a spot right in front of Brouwerji and Crafted Market. read more

Glad that this brewery took over an old warehouse in POLA and has turned into a great success! They redid the whole place and brew, serve and can beer on site. I've been here countless times and never have had a bad experience; spoiled that it's less than 2 miles away near the marina. Inside you'll find picnic tables, the brewery, a to go section with merch along with the bar to order from. Since Covid you can now order via QR from your table. They have rotating food trucks or you can bring your own food while drinking your beer. Outside has ample seating and plenty of parking. Bring the kids, family and friends and have a good time. Over the weekend, my wife and I took a trip out to San Pedro to finally check out this spot that we had been eyeing for over a year. I'm happy to say it was a great time. Lots of great beer options and plenty of seating. Outdoor seating to catch some sun and fresh air as well as loads of room indoors. Food truck was there on Friday and we went back for their Sunday Brunch event. Our group had a perfect time And the group" Like Minds LB", was so good. Find them on IG. First time I came here was a few years ago, and I totally missed the brewery. Tucked into an old industrial looking building is a really nice and large brewery. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Highly recommend inside--rustic chic with fairy/twinkly lights. Outside is pretty cool too, but I just like the inside better. Staff is amazing. Always friendly and detailed for any and all questions asked! My favorite brews are Dog Ate My Homework (blueberry saison) and Popfuji (Pilsner). Never get tired of those two. I came here with my girlfriend and her cousin to La Bota to dance our asses off. This event is really fun and the vibe is amazing. The beer at the brewery is great and the live bands are killing it. I suggest you try coming here to one of these events held monthly. You're going to have a blast! The only down side is the restroom situation, it takes a while to use them but other than that, it's great. read more

Place was initially hard to find. It looked more like a warehouse loading dock until you went around the corner to see a bunch of tables under canopies. Parking was plentiful. Food was served from food trucks although they did this under their own canopies. It was a nice cool day near the San Pedro shore at 4 pm. We had pizza from one area and then BBQ ribs and chicken at the other. The pizza was exotic to me but our group seemed to like it. I stayed with the conventional pepperoni pizza. The BBQ rib was slightly on the hot side but otherwise flavorful. Chicken was not as spicy hot but the beans were really hot for our group of people. read more
