My brows look absolutely fabulous, there is no question about that. However, if anyone is Covid cautious, they may be uncomfortable at Brow Diva. Although the sign in the lobby states that everyone is welcome- masked or not, vaccinated or not.... After the Yelp event, I made an appointment to come back. I've never given eyebrows much thought. And sometimes waxing is harsh for my skin but not here. I prefer this to threading and the appeal of setting an appointment ahead of time. The atmosphere is friendly. No complaints. All they do is brows hence the name! Update: they now do facial waxing etc. I slacked off for a bit on the brows but on a whim went back in today. I rarely wear make up and my instructions are generally "don't make me look surprised". And, that's what I get. Nice and simple. Note: the one time I tried to wax myself, I took off 1/2 an eyebrow. It was not pretty! So it's worth it to me to outsource this! read more

I went in March, waited in my car for the text to come in, the door was unlocked for me and Debra was waiting. I am a longtime customer of Brow Diva, I go to Stephanie. Brow Diva recently remodeled, the place looks bigger than before. No matter how many times I come, the place changes up a bit which I really like. They offer water, wine, tea, coffee, chocolate, and mints while you wait. I have really sensitive skin but with the wax Brow Diva uses, I don't get red. I come every 4-5 weeks. I get compliments on my brows all the time. Stephanie uses lavender oil on my skin after each session. She will also fill them in for you too. $27 for brows, $10 for the lips. read more

If you are concerned about Covid safety do NOT go to this salon. If you wish to not be bullied and harassed by employees (who are actually the owners) then do NOT go to this salon. While I was sitting in the waiting room I witnessed one of the owners applying something (lotion?) to another client just finishing up her appointment. The owner was NOT wearing a mask and was NOT wearing gloves. When she called me back for my appointment I asked her if she would wear a mask. She said it is difficult for her to breathe while wearing a mask so she would need to keep stepping away from me and taking her mask off for a breath. I said no worries, I'll just make another appointment. I walked to front desk and the owner followed me and told me to leave. I said I just want to make another appointment with someone else and she went and got the other owner. Long story short, the other owner took her mask OFF to speak to me and I kept having to take a step back as she was stepping toward me talking to me. She said they "can't have any of this covid fear in the salon" and that I should go someplace else. I have never felt so uncomfortable, bullied, and ganged up on in my life. All I wanted was to get my eyebrows done by someone with a mask on her face. These people are doing facial waxing all day long-the fact that they would not wear a mask or gloves (especially when after asked) is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. This place is pretty fabulous. The waiting area is stocked with drinks, cookies, magazines, fragrant essential oils, and some cute gift items for sale. Everyone I encountered was super friendly, and while I waited to be called back I noticed many customers coming & going who were clearly regulars and were known by name. The facility is really lovely. Each sculptor has a private room - I saw Alyssa - and in under 10 minutes my unkept and hideous brows were transformed! The attention to detail and care is unlike any other brow sculptor I have been to! I have traveled the world and lived in many different places, where it has always been difficult to find a professional environment like Brow Diva. I have been a client of Brow Diva for 3 + years now, having been sculpted by Deanna, Chelsea and Kimberly, all of which I feel more than comfortable with during my sometimes last minute appointment scheduling! I do not recommend this place for microblading. I had my eyebrows microbladed here last August and have regretted it ever since. I have to fill my brows everyday just to look presentable. I called about my problem and was told it will be another $100, on top of the $350 I had already paid just for them to make my brows presentable. My brows are now tamed and fabulous! I've gone to other places to get my brows done before but this place surpasses them all. This is they're specialty and you can see the difference. When I walked in I was happily greeted and offered coffee and mini cupcakes, and you betcha I took one of those cupcakes (it was delicious). Once it was my turn I went into a room with one of the brow stylists and she asked me about my eyebrow history, took a "before" picture and told me exactly what was going to happen. During the entire tweezing and waxing process she told me what she was doing so I never had to wonder, which was great! Kimberly is The Best. However I had to stop going here because the owner made me really uncomfortable. I saw her once for a wax instead of Kimberly and she disregarded my request and way over-waxed my brows right before a big professional event. She comped the service which was nice, but then when I came back to see Kimberly a few months later, she cornered me and asked me invasive questions instead of just letting me proceed to my service. It was unnecessarily uncomfortable and it felt like I was being put in my place, whatever that is. Not an expierence I want to repeat. TL;DR: My eyebrows look great! But I have some Covid-related concerns. I scheduled an appointment at Brow Diva because my normal brow place was booked today and tomorrow. I have some concerns about getting my brows done during the pandemic, but my experience has been so good at my regular place that I figured that was the standard. When I arrived at Brow Diva, there was a sign on the door, instructing me to call when I arrived for my appointment, so I took out my cell, but before I could call, the owner opened the door and let me in. I was feeling so-so about that, since I was hoping they would do a health screen over the phone when I called, but I figured it was ok. I was about 10 minutes early, and the owner said her waiting room is closed, but that I can browse for products while I wait. I'm obviously not going to touch a bunch of products in a store during a pandemic, so I just stood and scrolled through Insta. The owner came back over to check me in with the receptionist and confirmed that I was new, so she introduced herself, pulling down her mask so she could smile at me, then putting it back up. Then she held out her hand to shake mine! I was shocked, but I didn't want to be rude, so I shook her hand, then immediately turned to some hand sanitizer and sanitized in front of her, hoping she would get the hint. The receptionist then gave me a paper form to fill out, and a pen, which was also very surprising, since I signed up online, and I haven't been given paper menus or paper forms to fill out since March...but I took the form and pen (after sanitizing again) and began to fill out the info. The receptionist told me I can sit down to fill out the forms...in the waiting area that was supposedly closed...but I figured she didn't want me buzzing around, so I sat down in the waiting area. The owner finished up an appointment and brought that customer back to the front, and led me back to the wax room. I did not see any sanitizing of the wax bed between the previous customer and me. I almost asked if she sanitized between appointments, but I didn't. She did my brows, and they look great! I even brought the product she used, because it looks really really good. She walked me out afterward and took me to the receptionist to check out and pay for my appointment and my product. Then, to say goodbye, she put her hand out again to shake mine! I shook it lightly, then sanitized again. I think this is a great business and she's clearly very talented and makes good products, but I'm really concerned about the lack of Covid-19 protocols, during a time when the pandemic is raging through Rochester once again. read more

I called to book an appointment and asked if the provider could wear a mask during the service because I live with someone who is vulnerable and I'm trying to be cautious. I love brow divas, everyone is professional and Ryan did an amazing job on my eye brows. Even when they are behind schedule, they never make you feel like you are rushing. They take the time to listen and understand what you're looking for, whether it be a clean up job or redefining your brows completely. I am very particular about my brows and I trust these guys, they know what they are doing and have never failed me! The shop is also very welcoming, plenty of beverages and coffee to drink and very clean and well lit! The location is ideal as well, its in a cute plaza with other shops and plenty of parking! Microblading has been on my mind for a while, so when I decided to start researching, I naturally started with Brow Diva. I used to have my brows waxed at their Greece location and I was always impressed by their ambiance, cleanliness, and services, especially because I didn't often see the same person (which was my choice)! I made a microblading consultation appointment at their Monroe Ave. location, which is equally as clean and beautiful. Despite this, I was quite bummed out by my experience. My consultant led me into the room while talking on their phone and really didn't seem engaged after they hung up. In fact, at one point, they seemed pretty distracted and I asked if they were alright out of concern. I had seen a few Instagram photos of their microblading work, but not enough to feel super comfortable, so I did my best to explain what I'm looking for and ask whether or not my natural brow/face shape would lend themselves well to microblading. The answers were quick and a bit unenthusiastic, and I left feeling deflated and stupid. I put down a deposit for the microblading session before leaving, but my gut told me it wasn't the right fit. I will say that when I called back a day later to cancel, the person I spoke with was very helpful and refunded my deposit immediately. I don't think that the consultant was intentionally rude by any means, and we all have bad days! In all fairness, because we're wearing masks right now, I may have missed some signals. I also think they expected a waxing client and not a consultation - I wasn't able to choose the consultation online as one of the service options, so I tried to write it in the text box when booking. This is my favorite place in the WORLD to get my brows done! I'm from Rochester, and discovered this place when I was finishing up college at Brockport. So I've been getting my brows done there since around 2005. The atmosphere is nice, while you wait you can get coffe, tea, water, or wine on the house. I've had appointments with Rachel and Ryan in the past, and both do a great job. It is a bit pricey, but well worth it. When you leave you will feel like it was money well spent. I mean I've had my eyebrows butchered before, and they have really helped get them back on track. I no longer live in Rochester, but whenever I'm in town, I always make an appointment at Brow Diva. Word to the wise, it's best to call in advance and make an appointment. Appointments take about 15 mintues, and they are often booked. I believe the stuido is closed on Sunday's and Monday's, so it's best to call ahead. read more

I went in for a microblade consult with Chelsea. She was very personable and honest and actually led me in a different direction with a brow sculpt and henna tint. I wanted low maintenance and polished brows and thought microblading might be my best option but she explained what it would look like in my case, and since I have enough brow hair, sculpting alone will make a big difference. The henna tint is amazing. She did such a great job shaping with both the wax and tint, I am so obsessed and look forward to my return appointments! Chelsea is a brow wizard! read more

My eyebrows grow completely differently and I cannot trust just anyone to shape them. I have learned this the hard way over the years. I have been blamed and yelled at when I've gone to other salons and told I must have tweezed my brows on my own and effed them up. I have had stylists wax off big chunks and then tell me I did it. Alyssa is the only person on the planet I will trust with my freakish eyebrows. I would actually trust anyone on the staff here, but Alyssa has been making me look like a normal human since they opened. I'm never going anywhere else for my brows as long as I am in Roc! Both Alyssa and Chelsea do a great job and are fun to talk to. The rooms are private and really nice with neutral colors. There are hooks for coats/purses in each room. BIG plus: they use hard wax, which hurts significantly less! In response: What I think is very interesting is that every time someone has had an unpleasant experience at your business and leaves a negative review, you write a manipulative response as to always fault the customer instead of look at yourself and your business as possibly having done anything wrong. You always imply that the customer is lying in some way, so, are all of these people lying, and just out to get you? Or perhaps the problem could be you, the common denominator here? I am entitled to becoming angry and using whatever kind of language I see fit when I feel violated, which is how I was left to feel after using your business for a service. As you (or whoever you claim provided my service) said multiple times in my appointment, my language is "nobody's business", it's a free country right? It is Inappropriate to push your anti mask views on customers who come in for a service and don't want to hear your personal opinion. Nobody asked, and you force it on people and it makes for a very uncomfortable environment. It is not that I disagreed with the fact that it is uncomfortable to wear a mask all day, I'm sure it is, it's that you USED that point to berate me after I asked you if you were vaccinated so I knew if I felt personally comfortable to continue with the service. I did not even ask you to wear a mask because I knew that request would fall on deaf ears. Shame on you for minimizing my, and multiple other people's negative experiences at your business. This is not a dictatorship, you cannot censor anyone who says things you don't like to hear. You don't deserve to have any business with the way you treat customers, it is simply disgusting. Additionally: I would like to point out that if you WERE following all safety protocol covid recommendations given by the CDC, you would not be allowing your employees to go UNMASKED and UNVACCINATED while providing services to customers. The mask mandate was only meant to be lifted for those who are fully vaccinated, your employees also don't wear gloves while touching customer's faces, which is another violation. I have been going to Brow Diva for about 3 years. I love Deana! She completely saved me from being victim of over-waxing and plucking! And introduced me to the brow mascara. Each sessions is 15 minutes and your look is transformed after you have had your eye brows done right! I really don't understand all the hype that Brow Diva has attempted to create. They waxed, trimmed, and plucked my brows. Gee, that is exactly the same thing that every other eyebrow waxer has done for me, yet it cost twice as much to have it done at Brow Diva. Granted, my brows aren't mangled and butchered so their job was pretty easy, but honestly, there is NO reason to pay $27 for a 5 minute eyebrow wax. That is just ABSURD. Even worse, the skin above one of my eyebrows broke out afterward, which has never happened to me after a wax. Needless to say, I will not return here! read more
