I have been to Brown Cup Cafe a few times. It is the perfect place to study. The environment is inviting, cozy, and relaxing. The perfect place to have a latte, read a book, or connect with a friend. There's plenty of tables, couches, and outlets. The music inside is set at the perfect volume. Not distracting at all. Most cafes are too loud for me. I highly recommend the banana nut mocha frap. I felt a little underwhelmed when I first stepped in but the food and drink were very very good! I got an avocado toast and everyone is right, the extra cheese and greens they put on top really make it different and VERY tasty. They didn't have those cool strawberry cakes but they had carrot cake cupcakes and they were GOOD! Moist and actual carrots inside. Good! QUEERS: DONT GO HERE. me and my girlfriend (lesbians) came here a few days ago. we were immediately greeted coldly. we ordered food and sat on a couch to read our new books. but the male owner kept coming around to just watch us. probably about five or six times in a one hour span. when we finally left, a gentleman in front of us said goodbye and thank you for the food (didn't seem to know him). both the male owner and his wife said goodbye warmly. when my girlfriend and i said thank you, they proceeded to stare at us with disgust. just a weird unsafe vibe. read more

No fuss spot with a really cozy atmosphere, setting it up for you to study or spend hours chatting , like you're in a friend's living room just hanging out. There's usually plenty of street parking in the general area. I honestly wasn't expecting much, but my vanilla honey cinnamon latte was excellent! Quick: -great wifi connection -cozy space -great selection of food/drink items This place is super cozy and it's a great place to go if you need to get work done or if you need to meet up with someone for a casual chat. They offer coffee, tea, pastries, and food items here - as a normal cafe does. I like that they sell local art and honey items and have water, tumeric, cinnamon, cocoa available on the side as well. The owners seem like cool, down-to-earth people also. As a non-coffee drinker I appreciate their selection of teas! I'll be back for sure! read more

This used to be Coastal Connection or something but now it's Brown Cup. It seems like everything is the same but I did notice some sweets that looked very good. I usually come for breakfast and my favorite is the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. Everything is very clean, organized and the furniture and pretty comfortable. The employees are very easy going and helpful. This is definitely one of my go to places for breakfast. I'm not much of a coffee drinker so I can't speak on their coffee and I'm sure they have some tea. They also have a very nice selection of sweet goodies which I need to try. read more

Brown Cup is a very comfy, spacious, independent coffee shop in Oceanside. There is plush seating and plenty of room to stretch out for socializing or study. The atmosphere is comfortable and the staff friendly. The lemon water was DELISH - like the lemonyist lemon water I've ever had. Practically a lemonade. I can't believe it was free! I guess they can afford to do fancy things like that because their prices are so high. And you thought Starbucks was expensive! Woah! Part of the problem is just that they don't offer a size comparable to the short or tall at Starbucks, so you're sucked into buying more drink than you actually wanted. Can we really blame them though? How else is a small business like that supposed to make it in California? What a bummer: less coffee for me, less customers for them. A lose lose. Found my new coffee shop hot spot! I recently moved to the area and was looking for a local coffee shop that was open late and had comfortable seating, wifi, and good coffee of course. The vibe/mood is really important to me when studying and Brown Cup satisfied all of it and more! The music playlist is perfectly mellow, open til 8 pm daily, has comfortable seating with couches, tables and chairs etc, and the coffee is great!! Don't get me started on their breakfast sandwiches... so delicious and reasonably priced. They have tons of specialty flavors also that change on the chalk board. I tried the Vanilla, cinnamon & honey latte and it's sooo good- I've had it 3 times this week. I'm so glad I found the perfect spot to study and be productive at in Oceanside!! read more

Writing this review as I'm sitting on a table, sipping my Green Tea Latte :) This place is awesome, there are plenty of seats and best of all, FAST wifi! There is about 3 couches and 11 tables here. They also have self-serve water in cute mugs, what more can you ask for? There are plenty of outlets here too and the music isn't too loud so you can concentrate even if you didn't bring headphones. Food is exactly what the menu describes. I'm picky too. BLT had delicious leaf lettuce, succulent tomato, generous portion of bacon and on a wonderfully flaky croissant. Bagel sandwich with turkey, avocado, and bacon was panini pressed and my son thoroughly enjoyed it! The breakfast sandwich with egg, bacon, avocado, and cheese was on point too! (Everything is customizable here). Produce was fresh and local - you can tell. Baked goods are also local and delivered daily - I used to work in a bakery. I will be back!
