It's something I wished I craved more and Love Island makes seem like it's the best thing since sliced bread, I mean it does have bread. Anyways, this place is a must stop by and pick up something! Morning Grove is such a cute spot with really beautiful decor. It has a cozy atmosphere and the service was quick and friendly. I also ordered the Wildflower latte, which was pretty and came with a flower inside the drink. It tasted fine and was a fun touch. I ordered the Hot Honey Harvest Salad, and unfortunately it was just okay. The biggest disappointment was the turkey. It was packaged sandwich turkey slices instead of freshly prepared turkey, which made the salad taste flat. The hot honey also was not spicy at all, and I did not think the sweetness paired very well with the rest of the salad. It was more like a pile of lettuce than a nice salad you pay $14 for. You can probably buy pre-bagged salad and it'd be similar to what you're getting here. My friend ordered a sandwich that honestly looked much better than my meal, so I would probably try one of the sandwiches or wraps if I come back. The biggest downside was the price. My salad and latte came out to about $22, and there was also a 3.5% convenience fee. For the quality of the salad, it did not feel like a great value. I really wanted to love this place because the atmosphere is so charming, but I would order something different next time. read more

We stopped by The Morning Grove recently since it was in such a convenient location, right in The Island plaza and just a short walk/drive from the Residence Inn where we were staying. The first thing you notice is the cafe decor, which is very cute and makes for a welcoming atmosphere. We ordered The Lemonberry, The Golden Wrap, and two iced lattes (one large and one small). The food, presentation-wise, everything was on point. The lattes were solid, and the Lemonberry was a nice treat. However, the experience took a turn with the Golden Wrap, which my wife and I decided to split "halfies." While eating it, we noticed the wrap had a distinctively sour taste coming from the egg. We initially chalked it up to a specific seasoning or a tangy twist on the recipe. Unfortunately, about two hours later, both of us started feeling very funky and nauseous. Since we hadn't had any other food or drink during that window of time, the wrap is the unconfirmed culprit of our stomach upset. It's a shame because the vibe of the place is lovely, and the rest of the order was perfectly fine, but the aftermath of the Golden Wrap definitely dampened the experience. If you go, maybe stick to the drinks and the sweeter options! read more

Had the greatest experience here a few days ago. This spot popped up on Yelp and I bookmarked it as soon as I saw it because the drink menu looked so gooood. Not only that but they have food as well! Upon entering, I was greeted right away and the girl working the counter was super attentive and sweet throughout my visit. I forgot the exact name of the drink I chose but it's on their seasonal menu. It consisted of a shaken espresso with honey. It was DELICIOUS. The presentation of the drink was so beautiful as well, it had a honey drizzle on top and they put a little sunflower toothpick in the drink that makes it look so cute and unique. The interior of the establishment is super cozy and aesthetic. I unfortunately didn't try any food this time but I want to come back very soon to try some of their avocado toasts and other drinks on their menu. This was a cute little spot! I loved the decor. I didn't realize the exact location until I pulled up, and immediately knew it was going to be small. It was, only about a few seats inside, but a lot of outside seating. The drinks were really good. Even though they ran out of blueberries for the lemonade they were able to add strawberries instead. The sandwich I chose wasn't that great, but my friend enjoyed theirs. Overall, cute spot for a least a drink. read more

The Morning Grove is a really cuuute brunch/coffee spot in the inland part of Carlsbad called The Island. The Spring decor created joyful warm vibes which made me want to hang around. Although inside has limited seating, I luckily snagged a table but good to see there were more seating outside where it's an open area. Kudos to the staff for multitasking to address the busyness. There's only a couple of small tables inside so I assume seating is primarily outdoor in the common area. Customer service was average. Menu consists of various coffees, teas, smoothies, breakfast and lunch items. I was here to try the coffee. I got the iced caramel cloud and it was delicious. Caramel & white chocolate? It was a great choice. There were 2 sizes, 12 or 16oz. I chose to get the 16oz. I did have to question whether it was the 16 because it looked small. So far, it seems promising. This owner goes above and beyond with thoughtful details, makes me feel spoiled like a partner should treat you and I get this here. It's the little things that elevate your life. The food is healthy and delicious, and the drinks too. The seasonal decor is adorbs. I just had a banana latte and (I don't like too banana things or too sugary) and it was super balanced and friggin delish. And what really sets me over the edge to get my lazy butt to volunteerily write this is the added enhancements. Look at my cup. She has holiday sprinkles and a micro holiday sticker logo!
