No complaints about this spot besides maybe it's only street parking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ample seating, delicious food and drink, and a little shop you can browse while waiting in line.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The sandwich was great, and I was iffy before ordering just because I don't like English muffin too much but the toast on it made it good. I had a hot london fog but would love to try the coffee next time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seems pretty dog friendly, or that's just the Oceanside public acting like the Oceanside public haha.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I had a great experience here. Not a coffee drinker but came with a friend and was pleasantly surprised by their non-coffee selection. I had an Iced chai which was perfectly spicy and not overwhelming along with their turkey pesto breakfast sandwich which was balanced and the right size for a light breakfast. Would come back! Parking is easy (lots of street parking nearby) and [[HIGHLIGHT]]service as fast with both indoor and outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Communal Coffee is my go-to Saturday morning pick-me-up. The lavender honey latte is my favorite. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space itself is super cute and has such a welcoming vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]One of my favorite parts is that they even have a florist inside making fresh bouquets, which adds such a nice touch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's also a small shop area where you can browse things like candles, books, clothes, jewelry, and even bottles of wine.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff are always friendly, and there's plenty of seating if you want to hang out for a bit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have WiFi, so it's a great spot to get some work done, and there's also outdoor seating for those sunny SoCal days.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They also offer food options and even alcoholic coffee drinks, which is a fun bonus. Overall, such a great spot...definitely one of my favorites in the area.

Drinks were not bad. Nothing killer. Service was super quick, nice water station, reusable plates and cups etc. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Setting was nice with plenty of spots to catch up with friends, study, work etc. outlets inside as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean bathrooms[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We were headed to Legoland, but first, I wanted to make a stop at Communal Coffee for coffee and breakfast. We were lucky to find a parking on the street right in front of the coffee place. It was also really early, like 7:30 am, so that helped. I read that parking can be a problem. Their Iced Golden Coast was really good. You can't go wrong with espresso, honey, and whole milk. I love trying signature drinks at coffee places I've never tried before. They're usually pretty good and popular for a reason. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was such a cute coffee shop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] However, their food was just okay. It was pricey and mediocre - nothing special. We got their Avocado Toast, Turkey Pesto Sandwich, and Maple Sausage Breakfast Sandwich. They don't even toast the bread on the avocado toast. On the plus side, their Chocolate Chip cookie made up for it. It was thick and decadent. My picture definitely doesn't do it justice. Without a doubt, one of the better chocolate chip cookies I've eaten at a coffee shop. If I'm ever in the area again, I would come again and get another Golden Coast (or try a different coffee drink) and cookie.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe is great for working.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is quick and the staff is polite. However I'm very disappointed with the quality of the matcha latte. The addition of $1 for almond milk is ridiculous for a $7 diluted matcha. Clearly it's cheap matcha powder. I'm not complaining about the price but the quality of the matcha is unacceptable to call it matcha. So you should order something else.

Pretentious? Yes. Delicious? Also yes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you're the type of person who shows up with a MacBook, orders matcha, and appreciates minimalist coffee-shop aesthetics, you'll fit right in here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The hours are great, the space is clean and inviting, and the matcha was okay.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] One thing I found a little odd: they bring your food to the table, but not your drink. Not a huge deal, just something I noticed. I came here twice in a row because I couldn't stop thinking about the lemon basil burrata toast. The first time was incredible which loaded with toppings and full of flavor. The second time looked noticeably lighter on the burrata and basil. Maybe it was an off day, because I know how good it can be. Overall, I'd still come back. The matcha was good enough, the toast was good enough to bring me back immediately, and despite the slightly curated "everyone here is working on a startup" vibe, the food was worth the visit.

Almost forgot to take a picture, but here's the Gold Coast iced coffee
    Sandy C.

Had the Gold Coast iced coffee the other day with my daughter, I may have found another outstanding coffee house here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is not only really nice to just come and hang out, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, but the coffee is really good![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So many choices and they use good ingredients, I will definitely be here again and again.

This place is adorable! When I walked in, the people were very friendly and were able to recommend a drink & food. Both were absolutely delicious. There's different areas you can sit (patio out back, inside, front & side of building. Everything is open & airy.

Wow! I have been to the other locations in north and South Park and this location in Oceanside is immensely better. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The size is larger with high ceilings and amazing lighting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are several tables with outlets available to charge your devices.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Lots of street parking nearby and ordering is really fast. I thoroughly enjoyed the vanilla cronut (the frosting had real vanilla bean!) and the salted caramel latte had a balanced flavor of espresso and caramel. My new favorite in north county!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Gorgeous coffee shop with a huge variety of plants, home decor, jewelry, and scents for sale.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Absolutely loved the Santal and Palo Santo scents.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Communal Burrito and Golden Coast
    Isaiah E.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance wise this place was beautifully setup.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors although I can imagine the place can get pretty crowded during peak hours.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The Golden Coast drink was great and offered a great blend of espresso, honey and sea salt which was so good. Sweet but not an overpowering sweet. The Communal Burrito was honestly not very great tbh and I would probably opt for ordering a toast instead... otherwise pretty solid morning coffee place!

    Vanilla Bean Latte

Great coffee shop! Really tasty vanilla latte (I tried it both iced and hot, hot was technically better but it was barely a competition) and the gals behind the counter provide friendly service. I love the design of the space, lots of natural light and plants, not too cramped and lots of seating and tables inside and outside to sit and do whatever. They played REALLY good music while I was there (The Smiths, Arctic Monkeys, TV Girl, the strokes, queen) which was unexpected and very fun. It's definitely a nice spot to do work, however it's not a library, so if you get distracted easily by noise I recommend bringing headphones as groups of all types were hanging out. It's a nice spot to sit with a friend or draw/read. Wifi is strong, bathrooms are tidy, but parking nearby is a little hard so be prepared to walk over unless you get lucky. And they have a cute gift shop with all kinds of temptations. I plan to come back to try their mimosas. Overall very great spot!

    Where are their bagels from?

    How is the parking situation?

There's plenty of street parking around, so while you may have to walk a block further when it's busy, there are still plenty of spots.

Hi, is this a work friendly cafe for remote workers? Thanks(:

Yes! It is very work friendly lotta of space inside and a nice patio too!

Is this spot the same as Communal Coffee on University?

Does anyone know if their Salted Caramel Syrup is dairy free? The barista could not confirm on our last trip there, no one answers the phone and whoever runs their IG page keeps leaving me on read haha!

TL/DR: if you're asking about the pre bottled syrups used in coffee drinks like Torani, you're fine. If they had dairy, they'd have to be refrigerated and they aren't. But if you're asking about like actual caramel drizzled into a drink, it probably… Read more

This afternoon ago around 3 PM, I sat outside just enjoying my plane on a cold windy day. While siting and just having my coffee minding my own business, i heard a loud scream. It turns out these loud rowdy middle school girls walked past by this coffee place laughing, they saw me for the way I look, of course, I was wearing all black, had eyeliner and black nail polish. I got called "hey emo!" which is a very very demeaning. I have not ever heard anyone call someone that name since high school in a long time since before early 2010s I don't care what anyone else thinks of me, I was not bothered at all. But just in case, i was so nervous but I had very little bit of strength to tell the store manager what happened and had the audacity to shrug it off, " if there's anything else I can do for you." Well, you know what then, since I was harassed and degraded, I will never come back here again. Calling someone "emo" is really degrading, it's derogatory, it's hurtful. it's the same thing to call someone a f@g, it's not OK to call anyone that. Jason was never helpful nor apologetic towards me! I never let any name-calling get to me, but I don't deserve to get hurled out while I was simply sitting outside at the tables alone just having my coffee. Jason can go fuck himself! Fuck you jason! Asshole!!!!!

When we arrived there were no other customers we got to take pictures of and with the house and motorcycle. I'm not much of a pie person the only pie I usually eat is pumpkin but I was open to any other pastries they offered. My husband wanted to try the pies and I ended up ordering my sister some to take back home. We ordered 2 sets of the 3pack. One order all apple pie the other was cherry, apple and a blueberry. I also added a dark chocolate brownie and lemon bar. As my order was ready and called the kind lady said she labeled everything and added some extra. We walked on the boardwalk for a few minutes then walked back to eat our pies at their outside cover patio. Saw that she gave us an extra 4pies!! That was so generous. I decided to give them all a try and oh my... they were all delicious. It was warm, the crust was alittle flakey it had a nice little crunch yet also soft and the crust flavor was SO delicious. Loved that the flavors were not overwhelming sweet! The dark chocolate brownie and the lemon bar were cold and didn't think anything special about it a bit in the sweeter side. Overall it was a great experience really enjoyed the pies and the service was amazing!
