    Breakfast

I'm not sure why so many Yelpers had such a bad experience here... mine was great. We were staying at the Marriott and my sister received coupons to come to Sear for a free breakfast. We were informed that the coupons could only be used for the American Breakfast which consisted of 2 eggs (any style), meat, hash browns, and toast. I had 2 poached eggs, apple smoked bacon, fruit (instead of hash browns) and whole wheat toast. The eggs were perfect. I have rarely seen 2 eggs look so good. Perfectly cooked and yummy. The bacon was a little greasy, but super tasty as well. I'm really happy that they substituted fruit for the hash browns and the wheat toast was thick and wheaty. :) I had some tea and my family had coffee. Overall we were really impressed. The service was a bit slow, but not too bad. Had we had to pay full price though... not a lot of food for the money. For free, awesome! Would I come back? If I didn't have a coupon I might not. $16.95 for the above described meal seems a bit much. Especially considering I can get 2 meals for that price at my favorite breakfast place in the bay area. If you have a coupon, I would definitely recommend!

They just opened today. We had a Cobb salad and halved a Cristo. Food was good. The French fries were excellent and the service was grand.

The food was fantastic! The perfectly grilled 9 oz filet was served with a whiskey peppercorn sauce that was delicious. I had the Mac & Cheese, definitely not your everyday...it was worth getting. For breakfast, the breakfast burrito was tasty and stuffed full of egg, ham & bacon. The Puget Sound with the crab hash was uniquely NW...yummy, not too heavy. The service was lacking: slow (40 min for breakfast with hardly any others there), my breakfast was barely warm (which a mgr? remade and didn't charge us for), no one manning the reception table/no greeter, and they were understaffed. Probably wouldn't go there again. We can find the same good food with better service somewhere else.

Nice and quiet place to have a breakfast buffet. The server was very polite and helpful, and the selection of food was pretty good as well. A little pricey for what it is, but definitely a nice place to enjoy your food.

This breakfast burrito kept me going all morning. Amazing taste.

Not sure what the negative reviews are for but this places breakfast is amazing. I got the scrambled egg breakfast burrito and I came back the next day for another one. The burrito is warm, filling, and toasty. Definitely a good choice if you need something filling and fast. The staff is very friendly as well. Lovely people and very quick to get things done. I'm overall satisfied that SEAR was my hotel restaurant for breakfast.

Asked for medium steak got a well done steak. Sent it back and got a well done steak again. This was the second steak! Yikes

My favorite white was the Rhône Blanc--not too dry, with a light citrusy touch that made it really easy to enjoy. For the reds, the 2023 Grenache was definitely my favorite. The location is a little unexpected for a winery since it's in a shopping center next to Starbucks, but I actually loved the setting. There's nice outdoor seating right by the kids' fountain, which makes it especially convenient if you're visiting with little ones. Inside has a completely different feel--quiet, cozy, and perfect for a small gathering or even sitting with a book and a glass of wine. The coolest part is the presentation! The tasting experience feels a little like being in a wine lab. Your pours come in little test tubes, and you pour each one into your own glass as you taste. Such a creative detail that made the whole experience more memorable. A relaxed, approachable spot for trying different wines without the formality of a traditional winery.

Love the option of choosing my category of tasting (I'm always try to avoid the reds haha). All the wines were served in a test tube, which was a fun experience. Had a lot of time to sit and chat, didn't feel rushed at all which I loved.

The space is huge, but the service was remarkably slow. There was no one at the front to greet us when we walked in, and the bakery counter was left unattended for a while, leaving customers waiting. While our specific server was kind, the overall vibe from the staff wasn't very welcoming. As for the food, my husband had the steak burrito. It was large and tasted okay, but it wasn't anything special--just an ordinary burrito you could get anywhere. I ordered the rockfish tacos, which were disappointing. The tortillas were too thick and crumbled so easily that I couldn't even pick them up to eat. Worse, the fish had a noticeable fishy smell, making me question its freshness, though the overall flavor profile was decent. Ironically, the best part of the meal was the creamy corn served on the side. The atmosphere is more of a spacious, warehouse style rather than cozy, though it is interesting to be able to see into the catering kitchen. It's sad to see a place that used to be so great lose its touch. I hope they can bring back the quality they used to have.

They do have a good wine list, but the pricing is HIGH. Think $25-$45 PER GLASS. Some of the wines this made sense for, but they really should consider adding a wine or two below $25 per glass. I have my WSET 2 and know a decent amount about wines so could understand why some of them were priced like this, but the whole menu being this high was strange. $32 for a glass of pinot noir didn't sit right with me. We asked to do flights so we could try a few things, but they said they were only doing glass pours. We asked for a rec for an acidic, fruity red and felt like the gal just told us the most expensive non-tannic red on the menu. Fine. For $32 a glass, I would not order what I got again. We headed to a restaurant after and got $14 glass pours that we preferred. This is a great place to go to impress someone with the chic vibes, but good wine can be found elsewhere at a fraction of the price. I do see the appeal though.
