Just nasty. This pizza was a total joke. Ordered a large. Opened the box and saw that it didn't even fill half the box. I would have laughed if I hadn't paid $42.00! It tasted disgusting. Unfortunately it was late and there was no other food available. My stomach hated me for a day and a half. Luckily the plumbing worked in the hotel because that toilet got a work out! Had a surprisingly good experience here, decided to try it as they were participating in Restaurant Week. Unlike other places they had a single set menu with no choice, but also unlike other places it was $35 instead of $50 or $65. And if you like the selections, as we did, then not having a choice wasn't an issue. Starter: caprese salad stack. Main: Short rib with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Dessert: Caramel creme brulee. We loved the starter and main, they were generously portioned and tasty. The dessert was a bit of a fail, but I also don't generally like creme brulee so ymmv. As others have mentioned the service was friendly and swift. And yes it's in an Embassy Suites so it's not super upscale, but it was spacious and comfortable. Good food here! I came with friend to eat dinner around 8pm. No customers and quite but lady nicely greeted us. We ordered Smoked Prime Rib Dip & Rainier Burger. Even though the service was excellent I cannot at the same thing for the food! I had the salmon which was cooked to perfection then ruined by the saltiest grossest butter syrup stuff. The whole plate drenched in it. He accidentally overheard me say it and promptly brought out another plate of the mash potatoes which was a nice gesture but didn't over compensate for the rest of it. The chocolate cake was too rich and didn't get eaten. Gotta work on pairing that with something or toning it down some. The crab cakes again super salty overall way overpriced for the food taste. The salmon chowder was pretty good. The mac and cheese was also good, the steak was just okay.

Arrived at about 9:45p on 4/15 after working a long day. It was quiet but still had a few table and a couple people at the bar. Sometimes I have the hardest time deciding what I want to drink so I asked for the drink menu however; the bartender had one but didn't want to bother bringing me one because apparently they didn't have the ingredients to make them... ???? ... I went with a simple Manhattan and husband had a beer. We did order a pizza that was way bigger then expected, tasted delicious and well priced! We'll be back, hopefully next time their bartender will feel up to doing what they are paid to do and I can see the drink menu... read more

This restaurant is located right inside the Embassy Suites hotel and from the looks of it, it could really use a remodeling. I'm not sure when was the last time it was remodeled if ever, but it still looks as it was something from the 1980's. The hotel itself is going through a major remodeling so hopefully they will do something with the restaurant itself later on. We came here as a small group to sample their dinner menu since my parents wanted to try the food before our wedding here. I ordered the strip loin which was cooked to a nice medium rare and was surprised again by how big the servings are. I knew right from the beginning I wouldn't be able to finish my meal and would have to doggy bag it again like the last time. The steak was very tasty with the Bearnaise sauce and peppercorn topping. The two sides of red potatoes and green beans were seasoned great too. The restaurant felt very empty during dinner time here except for a couple parties who came at the end of our meal. It just doesn't have that inviting feel to it and looks old. I do hope they do a remodeling here at the restaurant because the food here is really good the two times I have been here with nice big servings and the service too has been very good. read more

Good food but bad attitude staff. I looked for a nice place to take my in-law for lunch. She likes good seating and less crowded place, so Cascade grills seem to be a perfect place for her. Most of the restaurant in South Bellevue is packed by office crowded at lunch time, but this one is very quiet. The waitress smile a lot, but the way she talks is strange. I asked about parking and menu, but she answered in annoy&moody weird way. My in law is 84 years old and she is wearing a hearing aid. The waitress rushed her during she tried to pick the side dish. My in-law misheard the word fries with rice and the waitress raised her voice (in a bad tone, not yelling but we both were shocked by her voice). I am Asian and my in-law is white, but by both world standards, we both can feel that the staff got really annoyed. My in law left the place with the feeling that the staff did not like her. The staff probably realized that I got upset. She tried to fix the service by filling up water and talking in a nicer tone to us. I did not complain or anything but I don't think I will go back very soon. Too bad I really want to like this place because the food is good, the price is reasonable for a hotel restaurant, and having a peaceful place to eat lunch is rare in Factoria. read more

Great restaurant. Beautifully decorated, very fast and friendly service. The tortilla soup (when available) is magnificent. The grilled salmon entree had probably the lost generous serving of salmon I've seen in an entree, and the flavor, the preparation, and the presentation did not disappoint. Finally, I had the brownie for dessert. Do yourself a favor and substitute chocolate ice cream for the vanilla. It's like a taste of heaven before you die of a heart attack from its richness and go to hell. read more

Service is not good. Spinach dip was disgusting. The "deep fried" pita chips were inedible. I asked for pita bread that wasn't burnt and hard to chew and the bartender brought me cold pita bread from the fridge. I literally waited 40 minutes for my chicken to come out and there was only ONE other couple at the restaurant. Oh and the creme brûlée...with seasonal berries came out as a gross chocolate pudding. I asked if I was mistaken about it it being vanilla versus chocolate and the waiter said oh the menu says seasonal creme brûlée. Ummmmm I looked again and it definitely said seasonal berries. We ordered the crab melt, clam chowder, grilled cheese, and tomato soup. The crab melt was great and I'd recommend eating half...so much sandwich. The clam chowder was incredible. Such creamy goodness with hearty chunks of potatoes and clams. Nothing over minced or under chopped. I can not explain the taste...If you love white creamy chowder, ORDER this. Made fresh every day. The tomato soup was more of a bisque and it caught us off guard. The cheese sandwich was great pairing for the soups. All in all, good place for eats. read more

Only the bartender on duty, 4 tables total. I'm a craft beer fan, and the IPA here was really just a pale ale with no better alternative in sight. I paid over $16 for spinach/mushroom ravioli, which at most places is considered a pretty basic dish. It was well prepared, but it had so many cherry tomatoes; these weren't a staple of the dish, and were used in excess. It's super convenient for guests staying in the hotel, and I was happy with the menu and convenience of not leaving the building. Beer selection was good, and each of our meals were tasty. They didn't know how to cook meat well done, as both steak and hamburger patty were served pink when we did not order them that way. As far as food goes, this places is probably two and a half stars. It's general bistro food that you'd expect at a hotel. The pizza, however, is pretty darn good and I suggest it over the rest. However, I'm giving four stars because of Walid the bartender. He runs a great shop, pours a mean drink and is the portrait of what you want as a bartender: he listens, sympathizes and shares great stories. Do yourself a favor and sit in the bar, order a pizza and talk to Walid. It's a solid plan and after being here three weeks, I'm glad there was a place like this to keep my sanity intact. read more

Meh. That's all there really is to say about what I ordered. Do not get the falafel wrap. It was bland and dry. The Greek sauce was lightly drizzled over 3 sizable falafel pieces, tomatoes, and zucchini so it just wasn't enough. The calamari is pretty tasty actually, but it's the big rings so consider yourself warned. It doesn't bother me, but I know some people prefer the smaller ones. I will also add that they're not very responsible via telephone. I called as a hotel guest and barely got through as it took 4 tries to get a person. read more

Ok so I know what your thinking... A small little restaurant/bar in an Embassy Suites hotel in Bellevue Washington could not possibly be good. Well, I have to tell you it was fantastic! I am a world traveler and definitely frequent extremely high-end restaurants all over the world. I was here on business and got in a little late and just did not feel like leaving the hotel. While there's no question this is not a high end restaurants, the food was absolutely delicious! The salmon was superb and the service was impeccable. If you are traveling through and don't want to leave the hotel, don't worry, you will get a great meal here!! read more

Stayed here a few times while traveling for work and this restaurant has surprised me. I've ordered room service from and eaten inside this restaurant and every time the food has been excellent. I've never had much luck with hotel restaurants serving decent food but this place has been the exception. Portions are generous, food is fresh and well-seasoned, and prices are very fair. Food comes out quickly and hot. I've had some of the pastas and the fish & chips and would order them again. But I also like to try new dishes and I don't think any of them will disappoint. Had the crab dip and it had sat under heat too long, the cheese was dried and burnt on top so didn't blend with the canned crab below which was also dry. It took 25 minutes from order to get it so I knew it was going to be bad. I also ordered the salmon, it is a shame that in WA state they don't offer fresh fish. Two thumbs down. There was only one other guy dining so no excuse for how long my order took. VERY limited wine selection. Mirrasou was the best bottle available $25, retails at $8. I understand the mark up but my point is, the selection should be a little better. The hotel is being remodeled so the dinner area is in a temporary space so maybe that's also causing issues. read more

This hotel restaurant was fabulous. My daughter and I ate here reluctantly because we were tired and did not want to battle the traffic. We ordered salmon and the mixed seafood salad and were thrilled. The prices were reasonable, but the food was delicious. The mud pie with chocolate ganache was HUGE..almost enough for four! Wow, I wish I had taken a pic of my first meal at Cascades Grill. I ordered one of the specials: lavender honey grilled salmon, red quinoa salad and expertly prepared asparagus. Delicious! The portions were substantial and the food was beautifully seasoned without being salty whatsoever. Even though it sounds like the salmon might be sweet, the honey was just a drizzling along with dried lavender sprinkled on top. The ambience was surprisingly nice and relaxing, for a hotel restaurant. We will definitely be back! Kudos to the chef!! read more

She paused for a moment to let us know that we couldn't enter with the wine from the managers reception directly in front of the entrance to the restaurant. We dined at the Cascades Grille this evening as part of a small (14 persons) party served in a private room off the main restaurant. This room has been re-decorated in restful tones of grey with stand-up tables for wine and passed appetizer service. We understand that the restaurant has a new Executive Chef, and if what we were served is any indication, the Cascade Grille will soon be a destination restaurant on the Eastside. Will return to try the regular menu soon as what we enjoyed really was just "as good as it gets". read more
